Race 1: HORSES THAT HAVE STARTED FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS IN ONE OF LAST 3 STARTS Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
This is a good spot for (8) MUSCLE FASHION, who comes off a sharp win at Flamboro. The widest post should pose no issue for him, and he gets top billing in the opener. (3) QUICK FIX raced better last week, and he will likely get more aggressive in this spot. He is the second one that I’ll use in the early Pick 5. (4) COOL CLIFFORD fits okay here and he will likely get sent forward leaving the gate, get position, then stick around for a share. (2) MADE OF MAGIC got a golden pace trip when beating easier in London. A small share is likely his ceiling tonight.

Race 2: HORSES THAT HAVE STARTED FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS IN ONE OF LAST 4 STARTS. (WINNER OF THIS CLASS LAST START N/E). AE: N/A $1,100 P/S IN 2024
(3) BETTOR THAN PRIDE managed to stay flat last week which is a good sign that he may be coming back around to form. This is a field that he can handle if he is close to his best and behaves and I’ll give him the nod. (4) WOODMERE FENN is in easier, and he will likely get aggressive in this spot; using. (6) COLIN YOUR BLUFF was over bet last week, but he went to fast early and that sealed his fate. He is capable of rebounding with the right trip. (5) BETTOR B SIRIUS had a bit of a tough trip, but he stayed game and held for a share. He is in the exotics mix here.

Race 3: HORSES THAT HAVE STARTED FOR A PURSE OF $15,000 OR LESS IN ONE OF LAST 3 STARTS
(2) PHEONIX lacked room in the stretch last week and was forced to angle out to the four-wide path to try to chase down the three battling leaders. He can win here if he gets a better trip. (6) BRACE FOR LANDING ships in from Pennsylvania in good form and he should get a solid pace to chase tonight. He will probably be the one to fend off late. (4) CRYSTAL BALLER is in peak form as he shoots for a threepeat and he beat similar last week. He is another in with a chance. (3) RADIO LAB faces tougher coming off a win. I’ll use him on the bottom this time.
Race 4: NW $18,000 (F&M $22,500) IN 2024. AE: NOT AVERAGING $1,760 PER START IN 2024 (MIN 10 STARTS) - Pick 4
(1) ROWLEN looked dangerous briefly on the final turn last week, but the leader quickly opened up a gap on the field and that was that. He fits well vs. these, and he gets the nod. (7) WASTINGNOTIME drops to a spot where his late kick should be more effective. He will probably be the one to hold off late in the mile. (4) ZIG ZAG hasn’t raced since June of 2023, but he was competitive at a much higher level then and he can compete here if he is tight enough off that single qualifier; using. (8) DELCREST BRENT will likely come on late and land in the bottom of the exotics.
Race 5: NW $2,500 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: NOT AVERAGING $915 PER START IN 2024 (MIN 10 STARTS)
(5) SOUTHSIDE EDDY chased class dropping Uncle Shank A around the track last week and there are no rivals in here like that tough one. He has a good chance to lead all the way here. (3) DAY TRADER was out a long way, but he stayed game last week. He gets a better post now and he can be an Exacta factor again. (7) GOING FAST raced okay first up last week and he stayed for a share. He should be in the exotics mix again. (6) RILKOFF usually passes horses in the back 1/2. He is a good one to use on the bottom.
Race 6: HORSES THAT HAVE STARTED FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS IN ONE OF LAST 4 STARTS. (WINNER OF THIS CLASS LAST START N/E). AE: N/A $1,100 P/S IN 2024 - Pick 5
(1) ALL BETS ON TEX’s form is improving and he gets into this race because he raced for a $3,500 purse three starts back in the top class at Charlottetown. I’ll give him the nod here expecting him to get a good trip racing near the front. (3) WOODMERE STEALDEAL goes back to Auciello who trained him to his 1:48 4/5 lifetime mark here last June. He will likely be the one to catch. (6) MARSHALL ZHUKOV gets Macdonald, but he will likely be forced to take a seat early in this mile by the #3 horse. I’ll use him underneath. (5) CODE CRACKER can beat a few of these to land in the bottom of the exotics.
Race 7: NW $9,450 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $15,100 LAST 10 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000 - Pick 4
The two claimed horses, (5) ALL GAS NO BRAKES and (7) BELLA CAVALLA will likely battle it out here for the win. The nod goes to the former based on post position advantage. (6) NASEY will likely get good position leaving the gate and I see him sticking around to take a slice. (8) GOLD EDITION raced well to get a share last week. He can come on late to get a share here.
Race 8: CLAIMING HANDICAP $12,000 TO $16,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE & SEX. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000
This looks like a race that will set up for a stout closer, and I’ll take a stab with (2) KYLES ART, who will offer a good price coming off two long trips. (1) HERESTHATMANAGAIN should get a good stalking trip, too and he is another that will likely be passing rivals late; using. (3) MACH SILVER hasn’t been out of the Exacta since 9/12. He is always a threat racing from close range. (9) LETS GET ROCKED will probably get stung early trying to make the lead. I’ll play to beat him out of multi-race bets.

Race 9: NW $16,700 LAST 5 STARTS OR $37,500 LAST 10 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $70,000. AE: NW $100,000 LIFETIME
(3) QUEBEC HANOVER is one of several in here that drop from the top class. It seems likely that he will make front early, and he gets the nod. (2) PRINCE OF HONOR should improve here having had a start over the track. He would be no surprise in this spot. (5) LOOKS LIKE MONI is another that should improve in the drop and he gets Macdonald back. A more aggressive drive is likely in this spot; using. (6) ROBERTSON DE will probably sit back and close for a small share.
Race 10: CLAIMING HANDICAP $30,000 TO $40,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE & SEX. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000
(10) B STONEY is in terrific form right now and he can overcome the widest draw and take another win. (7) DOUBLE DOWN DUKE steps up off the Auciello claim and he gets the leading driver, and he is worth using at a price in the late multis. (2) TANGO SEELSTER won two straight with Macdonald who now jumps off. I see him taking a slice this time. (3) JADENSMAGICSTEEL looked gone on the far turn last week then he tired badly in the last 1/8th of a mile. His speed makes him a threat, but I prefer to use him underneath. (4) BROOKDALE MIKI closes well in most of his starts. He should be part of the exotics here.
