Race 1: Pop Up Event 2nd Leg Claiming $8,500 **Guaranteed $100,000 Pick 5**
(1) EVASIVE CARD SHARK was noticeably trapped with pace until very late last time and once free, he flew to nab third. He gets key barn and driver changes here and he will be a multi-race single for me. (5) LARJON LUCKY was no match for a strong winner last time, but he did hang on for second when claimed. He should be an Exacta factor tonight. (3) ELROY SHINER hasn't been great lately, but he was claimed by Moreau which could lead to improvement tonight; using underneath. (7) ROUGH TRADE got a pace battle in front of him to set up his kick when he won in London last Wednesday when claimed. He can be in the exotics here.

Race 2: Pop Up Event 2nd Leg Claiming $8,500
(8) CHEAPSKATE HANOVER was claimed by Menary for himself and a partner for this and he attracts Macdonald to drive. A more aggressive approach is likely and he gets top call. (2) ON CRUISE CONTROL exits some decent claiming handicaps at The Raceway at Western Fair and he should get position leaving the gate. He should be an Exacta factor. (4) ROYALE BIG GUY raced decently off the Demers claim and that start should prime him for a good try here; using. (7) SIGHTS ON YOU is a good one to use on the bottom of the Tri and Super.
Race 3: NW5 (F&M7) or $80,000 (F&M $100,000) LT
(8) TRUFFLES TOO should clear to the front here and that's where he does his best work; top call. (6) ITSTIMETOGOHOME turned an eight-length deficit at the 3/4 pole into a five-length win last time and that isn't something you see every day. He faces tougher but he could be up to it; using. (3) PHEONIX was stymied by a slow early pace last time and he closed mildly. He can be closer here. (5) HP RUNNING MASS comes off a sharp win but he loses Roy and steps up tonight; small share predicted.
Race 4: 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT - Pick 4
(2) P L PHEONIX strutted his stuff in his second qualifier with the owner/trainer driving, now Henry climbs into the bike for this debut. This isn't a tough spot and I wouldn't be surprised if he jogs. (7) BETTOR WAY TO ROCK, the other debutant in here, was a $40,000 Ontario Select buy in 2020 and he qualified okay twice for this. This race could end up coming down to these two. (10) BELECHICK gets bet often but he hasn't shown much. I can see him closing to land in the exotics tonight. (1) CACHE CREEK is capable of taking a share starting from the rail tonight; using on the bottom.
Race 5: NW $9,000 L5 or $18,500 L9 AE: OPT CLM $25,000 or NW $7,000 L4
(6) ALL WRAPPED UP races best for Roy who returns tonight and he also draws well. Sharp improvement is likely; top call. (4) MUSCLE FASHION will likely look for a trip racing near the front tonight and that makes him a threat; using. (7) KAMERAN HANOVER drops, but he didn't show much in his return from a 6 1/2 month absence. He can improve enough tonight to take a share, however. (5) MEMO should take another small share racing near the front here.
Race 6: Pop Up Event 2nd Leg Claiming $8,500 - Pick 5
(3) SUNNY BO tried to bottom out the field when claimed last week and there was one rival that was much better. He stacks up well vs. these and he gets the nod. (8) NATES BUCKY showed speed in a decent conditioned field at Flamboro on Thursday night and he is worth including in the exotics tonight. (6) TAKE THE DEAL is another that has been blasting off the gate racing out of town and he gets a key driver change to Macdonald here. He is hard to toss in this spot. (4) SHADOW ME THE MONEY raced okay last week and he could be part of the Tri or Super again in this field.
Race 7: NW $15,500 L5 or $31,500 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $50,000 or Pop Up Starters
(8) FREE WILLY HANOVER was a good 2nd to a predictable winner last time and he is going well right now for trainer Auciello; top call. (4) LIFE IS A FEAST beat much easier in the Pop Up series final but he looked good doing it and his sub-28 kicker can play well here; using. (3) DERF HANOVER beat similar two starts back and he could get a trip similar to the one he got that night; using. (9) ZIG ZAG can contend at this level but from the widest post, I prefer to use him underneath.
Race 8: Pop Up Event 2nd Leg Claiming $8,500 - Pick 4
(3) ROCKINMYDREAM was qualified by Henry who returns to the bike here as this gelding races off the Barrington claim. Sharp improvement is likely and he gets top call. (7) SANTANNA TONY figures to get a good trip racing near the front and I'll use him in late multi-race tickets. Veteran (6) OAKROCK ELDORADO showed some speed from the worst post at London last time and he is worth using in the exotics here. (2) OLD BUCK has some appeal attracting Macdonald while racing off the claim, but the trainer is 0 for 26 in the past three years. I'll use him on the bottom.
Race 9: PREFERRED
(4) SPARTAN GENERAL was a victim of pace last time and he still kept coming and fell only a head short. He will likely get a better setup this week; top call. (6) PIKACHU HANOVER is on a roll with two straight wins in this class and he is sure to be sent again tonight. He is probably the one to beat tonight. (3) PERFETTO missed some time following a rare loss in which he was also set back for causing interference. He is so consistent that it's tough to take a stand against him, but he will likely offer no value here. I'll play to beat him. (7) ONLY FOR JUSTICE has hit his best stride recently and he could provide some exotics value taking a big class jump here.

Race 10: 5YO and Younger NW2 or $23,000 LT
(8) SPORT SECRET made another 2nd 1/4 brush to the front, relaxed on the lead then accelerated when needed. A threepeat looms for this promising Sportswriter colt. (3) THE AMAZINGSANDO adds Lasix and goes for Auciello on the barn change here and we know he can fire fresh, remembering his 2nd in a $108K Gold race on debut at two. He looks ready to roll and he figures to be the main danger to the choice. (5) FLASH TO THE FINISH didn't have much of a chance to close on the choice who stole a slow middle 1/2 last time. He finished well and he is in the exotics mix again. (7) SAULSROOK GENESIS, 3rd to the choice last time, takes frequent shares and should be part of the Tri or Super.
Race 11: NW $3,000 L5 or NW $7,000 L10 AE: NW $2,500 L3
(6) MAJOR HILL was parked every step at this level here on Thursday night but it didn't matter as he still drove away to win as the 3 to 5 chalk; call to repeat. (5) ISITFRIDAYYET was bet like he couldn’t lose on 1/8 but veteran Nickle Bag was having none of it. That was a good effort and he should be the main threat to the choice. (9) RACEMUP wired a decent field at Flamboro on Thursday night and he is another multi-race player to consider. (7) REAGAN BLUE CHIP is better than he showed in his seasonal debut. Maybe the driver change to Macdonald will wake him up. (8) LYONS IMAGE is worth a look for the exotics on the barn change; using underneath.
