Race 1: Popup Consolation **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**

(6) MIKES POWERHOUSE was solid racing off the Waxman claim, making two moves. He looks best here and he gets top billing. (5) DETERMINED made a nice late charge off excess cover to finish only a length behind the choice. He figures to be the main threat here starting from one of the best posts. (1) HOKIE DOKIE produced a fast kicker now he gets the potent "first time McNair" angle. He is the third one that I'll use in the early Pick 5. (8) MAY TO FOR raced well and was claimed. He seems more likely to take a share than a win.

Race 2: NW $19,000 L5 or $120,000 LT AE: NW2 L7 or $40,000 in 2021/22

(5) WHITE TIGER dropped and popped now he steps up a level where he has a good chance to take another. (6) RUN DIRECTOR was 3 for 3 in 2021 culminating with a Preferred win in August. He would dominate this group with his best race, but I wonder if he will need one. (2) TRUFFLES TOO drops and he should be in the exotics mix at this level. (1) RESOLUTE BAY is having a terrific year and he is hard to leave off the Super ticket.

Race 3: NW $1,850 L3

(4) CYCLONE JOE was an easy winner in a similar class at Flamboro Downs on Wednesday night and I like him here returning quickly while he is hot. (6) HARRY G took a check in a good field on 11/27 in Truro and he draws best and gets McNair now. He would be no surprise here. (8) LIFE IS BETTER is capable at this level and I think he'll get put into the race leaving the gate; using. (2) COOLSUNSHINE adds Lasix and he should find this class level easier. He can take a share tonight.

Race 4: Horses that have started for a purse of $15K or less in 1 of L3 - Pick 4

(1) TYMAL RIGGS looked like a winner at big odds until deep stretch when a rival to his inside found needed room and surged. He has returned sharp and he gets the nod here. (9) NEVER MIND N dominated the Popup series and he will likely be the one to catch again here; using. (3) AUSSIE LOVER has developed a big closing kick and he can get a better start in this spot. He is another in with a shot. (8) SERENITY CRUISE got a golden trip that likely won't be repeated tonight; small share predicted.

Race 5: Popup Final

(8) DARK MOVES was McNair's choice at scratch time over the other dominant winner from last week, and he gets the nod in this final. (3) AMERICAN SNIPER is interesting to me coming off the Guillemette claim having had a start over this track; price look. (4) KEVNDAN FRAUDSTERS won easily last time with McNair in the bike and he loses that driver tonight but he remains a threat. (6) NINE WAYS dominated for Moreau but was claimed. Regression is likely here; small share predicted.

Race 6: NW $12,000 L5 or $22,000 L10 or NW 6 or $95,000 LT AE: Starters for a purse of $16K or less L3 AE: OPT CLM $60,000 - Pick 5

(7) LOOKS LIKE MONI has been money in both starts since being acquired by The Stable and I expect him to win his way into the Preferred. A threepeat looms here. (3) JACK FIRE ships north sharp from Indiana and he can be an Exacta factor in this local debut. (5) H P ROYAL THEO comes off an improved effort but he did have the luxury of cutting the second slowest opening 1/2 of the night’s 11 races and he couldn’t seal the deal. I'll use him underneath. (1) HAMMER TIME should be good for a small share moving inside tonight.

Race 7: NW $5,100 L5 or $12,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $35,000

(3) PATRIARCH HANOVER hasn't raced this low in any of his previous 36 starts this year and this is simply a field that he should beat. (8) L DEES PATRICK can be much better here getting J Mac back in the bike and he could add some value to the exotics. (4) WISHYOUDTELLME raced well from the 10-hole in the Popup final and he should be in the exotics mix here. (5) GOLD EDITION can land in the exotics at a price moving to a better post tonight.

Race 8: CLM HDCP $11,000 to $14,000 - Pick 4

This race comes down to two horses for me: (5) JIM STRIKESITRICH, who is very capable when he is at his best and he has clearly turned a corner in the Moreau barn, and (6) BIG JOURNEY, who adds Lasix and goes for the West stable coming off a win. (3) MALVOLIO can sit another good trip here and land in the Tri or Super. (7) MISTER REBILLY A frequently finishes on the edges and he can take another small share here.

Race 9: CLM HDCP $22,000 to $30,000

Good race here with several options. (7) JULERICA is another that Moreau has racing better recently as his barn has been firing on all cylinders. I expect a speed blast tonight. (6) QUAN BLUE CHIP got too far back last time in a tougher field. He fits well here and the short field should help; using. (4) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ tried the front end racing off the Guillemette claim and that's not typically his best trip. Adding Lasix tonight, I think he sits and rallies. (5) LEGAL BETTOR, stablemate to the choice, is also capable, but I prefer to use him underneath in this spot.

Race 10: NW $1,850 L3

(5) BAYFIELD BEACH was double entered, racing on the drop Saturday night in NW $3K L5 and getting to drop even further here. Assuming he performs well on Saturday, he should be tough to beat in this class if he goes on short rest. The other droppers in this race (6) GOING FAST and (4) HERVEY HANOVER, should be the main threats and the others to consider for late multi-race bets. (3) TYPHOON STRIDE N will likely wake up with Macdonald in the bike but I prefer to use him underneath here.

Race 11: CLM HDCP $15,000 to $20,000

(4) COIN FLIP dominated when claimed and McNair sticks; slight nod in a race where several have a chance to win. (1) MACH ART IN MOTION was a decent 2nd to the choice, claimed and he gets the leading driver. He seems an obvious threat. (10) MR MACH JIMMY was flying but he arrived on the scene too late. His price will be good starting from out there and that makes him useable in this spot for me. (8) ROYAL RENEGADE is at the peak of his form cycle and he is another that would be no surprise here. (6) ALLGONOWHOA is 0 for 41 this year but he has been racing better recently and I see him being in the High-5 tonight.
