Woodbine Mohawk Park: Analysis for Monday 12/1

John Rallis|Nov 28, 2025
Mohawk Logo 1.5

Top Pick Stats: 216/621 = -$52.40

Best Bets: 15/58 = –$12.20; Spot Plays: 17/58 = +$4.60

Best Bet: DUSTY LANE LEVI (RACE 10)

Spot Play: CHIC CHOC ROSE (RACE 1)

Early Pick 5: 2/2,4,6,7/3,7/10/3,5,6,7

Late Pick 5: 2,6/5,7,8/1,5,6/3,8/2

Race 1: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 5) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $62,500) LIFE.

(2) CHIC CHOC ROSE looked like a legitimate racehorse in her most recent effort when she cruised to an easy victory in the Harvest Series Final. She looked far more relaxed in that contest and looked a lot better with a target to chase and that approach could be a recipe for success yet again. (7) CAPTAIN WANIA ships in from YR where he took on tries vs. tougher. He exits a winning qualifying effort and could be ready to be competitive here off the shelf if put in play, but I’ll use underneath. (4) TH MONICA was a distant 2nd to the choice. She has been racing well and draws well enough to pick up a piece. (8) THE BEAR A CUDA was very impressive in an effort where he rallied to be 2nd. He is getting sharper and he is one that will have every chance to pick up a piece underneath.

Race 2: NW $1,000 LAST 4 OR NW $6,600 LAST 8 STARTS.

(4) BRONX DRIFTER is shipping in from tries out East and will race for new trainer Gary Merner. He provides some intrigue in a race that lacks a clear standout. (2) UP JOEYS CREDIT finds himself in a cozy spot to be competitive. He draws inside and is one that merits big time respect. (6) BUDDYVILLE rallied nicely to be 2nd in his latest and is one that can build off that effort. (7) HESINCONTROL hasn’t looked like himself over his last few tries. He will pick up the services of Louis Philippe Roy this evening and if he shows even a hint of back class, look out.

Race 3: FILLIES & MARES NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME.

(3) KADIDDLE drops back down to nw2 and has an inside draw to work with to boot. I haven’t had much luck backing her in spots I felt like were winning ones, but hey, maybe 3rd time’s a charm! (7) WISTERIA BLUE CHIP is another Shannon Henry trainee returning to Ontario off some tries at YR. She took on tougher company there and can be ready to go vs. this group if put in a winning spot. (1) IVY LYNN worked out a picture perfect trip in her latest and lost a position to be 3rd. She can compete vs. this bunch and can pick up a big piece. (8) YS QUEEN BETH draws outside and can rally for a piece.

Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $31,500 (OS $41,500) LIFETIME.

(10) WOODMERE BETCHA was one I absolutely loved last week and was able to convert despite getting crooked in the stretch. She starts from the far outside but if she can float out and secure an early spot, I trust her to be motoring late for another trip to the winner’s circle. (2) GUCCI SEELSTER couldn’t fend off the choice in her latest. She has been ultra-consistent at this level and is one that is going to be a main player yet again. (1) SIDE EFFECTS has been working out solid trips but has not had any luck getting to the winner’s circle. She is sharp and is an underneath player. (6) P L SUZIE has been racing well and can land somewhere on the ticket.

Race 5: FILLIES & MARES NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME.

(6) CRYPTO HANOVER made an aggressive, first over bid at the pacesetter and eventually tired to be 3rd. This filly has one good brush on her and if timed accordingly, she can get her picture taken. (3) FATEFUL was the easiest of winners two starts back vs. a softer bunch. She has been able to stay trotting under Camilla Christoforou’s care and is one that’ll benefit from not having to start from the widest post this evening; contender. (7) SHAMPOO GIRL was put in play early and was not able to be caught in her latest. She could replicate a similar trip and that could be good enough here; using. (5) SUPERGIRL MOLLY worked out a perfect trip but couldn’t get close to a dominant winner in her latest. She draws well and we know she can compete here.

Race 6: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $35,500) LIFETIME.

(2) FRENCH VODKA got a much needed tightener in what was his first pari-mutuel start since September. He drew pp10 in that contest and had breaking issues and stayed trotting throughout in a 6th place try. If he’s handled more confidently, he has the ability to find the winner’s circle here. (6) CHARLIE CHEEKS is just 1 for 16 lifetime, but will now race for new trainer Ben Baillargeon. We’ve seen horses go from Shane Weber’s barn to Ben’s barn plenty of times over the course of their careers and find instant success, and we could see this again here. (3) GOAL DIGGER exits a 3rd place try; he’s fast, but head strong and not the cleanest gaited. He’s hard to trust but I can’t say he’s not a win candidate; but is one I’ll play against. (5) SAPPHIRE STEVE can hit the ticket.

Race 7: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME.

(5) DIAMOND BANK rallied nicely to be 2nd at London from what appeared to be an improbable spot. He draws well and might enjoy a longer stretch and is one I’ll side with in a field that lacks a standout; value. (7) FLORIDA GUY was scratched out of the Harvest Series Final. He has raced well but has had difficulty getting to the winner’s circle and is one that might benefit from adding Lasix here; using. (8) CHECK MASTER stayed trotting in a winning qualifying effort and is one that could get his picture taken in here so long as he behaves; contender. (9) PUSH TO START has raced well over his last few tries and seems to be inching closer to a trip to the winner’s circle. The only problem is he draws outside.

Race 8: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $62,500) LIFE.

(6) CLARISSA W worked out a decent trip in her latest in what was her first start in nearly one month. She draws well and she should be even sharper here and I’ll give her top honors. (1) FLASCHAP worked out a pocket trip in her latest and was able to convert in what was a comfortable score; she’s sharp! (5) MANOAH has had a couple of tries to get himself acclimated to the Campbellville oval. He is handy and is in a better spot; contender. (2) VERACRUZ fell short to the one above and disappointed as the even money favorite. He draws inside and is one that should be competitive in this spot.

Race 9: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $60,000 (OS $75,000) LIFETIME.

(3) SMILES FOR MILES seems to enjoy racing on the big track and after his dominant effort in his latest, he’s going to be the one to beat here. (8) WICKED EXPRESS got leg weary late in the stretch in what was his first start in more than three weeks. He’s back on a regular rotation and will be given every chance to get back into the winner’s circle. (1) AMBITIOUS MIND was best of the rest vs. the choice in his latest and can secure a good piece yet again. (2) ID IMAGINE can rally late for a share.

Race 10: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $30,000 (OS $37,500)

(2) DUSTY LANE LEVI looked like a winner prior to hooking wheels in his latest. He draws inside and he is my clear choice to capture the nightcap. (3) TH ALLOWMETOLEAD raced well in his latest and is one that I’ll use underneath in exactas. (9) CONNOR B raced well yet again but doesn’t appear to want to get to the wire first. He can grab a good piece yet again. (1) CARSONSBUCKNGO is one that has been hitting the board consistently as of late and can do the same here. (10) MOVIN ON OVER can rally late and hit the ticket.
