Top Pick Stats: 326/939 (-$333.00) Best Bets: 40/85 ($2.10); Spot Plays: 17/84 (-$48.00) Best Bet: MAJOR VELOCITY (Race 9) Spot Play: KADIDDLE (Race 10) Early Pick-5: 5,6/1,3,7/3,4/1,4/2,9   $9.60 Late Pick-5: 1,3/6,7/1,3/5/1,3   $3.20 Race 1: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $38,250) LIFETIME. AE: MARES NW $100 LAST 2 STARTS. (5) IVY LYNN looked set to take a step forward last week but made a miscue. He picks up James Macdonald tonight and should be looking to secure a good trip. (6) CALLY L should show more when facing easier horses. I would expect Jody Jamieson to have her on the move very early and try to secure the front. (1) MISS UNIVERSE is a versatile filly with some early speed and enough ability to finish underneath if the trip goes her way. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (7) KAMA gets a key driver change tonight that could allow him to show a little bit more against fellow maidens. J-Mac gets more out of a lot of horses. (1) JS SHESREALSPECIAL comes off a sharp second place finish last time. She has been her own worst enemy at times. If she can put it all together, she can threaten. (3) CHESNUTT CHEWIE was a very sharp winner four starts ago, but just like most in here, he has been plagued by breaking issues. He could get a piece if he minds his manners. Race 3: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $30,000 (OS $59,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (4) CONNOR B should be stalking again this week and should capitalize off that trip if the leader gets tired. I tried him last week at a price; I’ll go right back at a shorter priced offering. (3) WICKED EXPRESS comes off two strong wins, but hasn’t raced in a few weeks now. He could be a step short if he tries to wire the field. (1) VOGUE BLUE CHIP could look for an inside trip and finish strongly if he finds room. He is a price horse to use underneath. Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $38,250) LIFETIME. AE: MARES NW $100 LAST 2 STARTS. (4) CRYPTO HANOVER showed much more early speed last week and it resulted in a strong finish. She could loom as a threat to trip out. (1) DAFFY HANOVER has the ability to pounce on the leaders if they tire. She has just been facing horses that are a little too tough. The price should be there with her. (6) ULTRA MYLES is as consistent as they come at this level, but struggles to get the job done. She will be right there at the wire. Race 5: HARVEST SERIES FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES, NW $30,000 IN 2025 AS OF SEPTEMBER 30TH 2025. NO ALLOWANCES. (9) SHOW ME THE GREEN made up a ton of ground in the back half of last week’s Harvest tilt to finish a strong second. She will have to work out a trip from this outside draw, but showed lots of early speed two starts ago. I’ll take a swing. (2) NIGHTINGALE pulled off the upset last week and now draws a much better post. She makes sense as a front-end threat. (1) RACE DIRECTOR has versatility and could show the best late gear to get a piece of this final. Race 6: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $30,000 (OS $59,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (1) ACEFORTYFOURAPOLLO has had some sharp recent efforts at the level. He is quick enough to secure position and potentially trip out. (3) AMBITIOUS MIND should repeat in the top choice column. He is a solid claimer who likes to do his work near the front, but can also grind into contention. (5) DJ MUSTANG is a solid stretch finisher who can take advantage of any speed duel up front. Race 7: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (7) OVEREND took a trip south of the border for his return, but ended up basically taking a trip around the track at Dayton. He showed some ability when he was racing back in the summer. I’ll look for him to get the job done in a wide open event. (6) HOBNOB HANOVER may have finally found a group that she will have no choice but to beat. She tracked the entire way in her latest and was a good second. She will be forwardly placed. (1) STORMONT MY BOY had something go amiss last week when racing at Mohawk for the first time. I will look for him to rebound and grind out a finish in the money. Race 8: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $39,250) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (1) GUCCI SEELSTER looms as the one to beat in this claiming event. Her recent sharp wins stand out here, and she isn’t a filly who needs the lead. (3) SIDE EFFECTS is a dependable closer who will be dangerous if she works off a helmet. (7) YS FLOWERNUMBERTEN has shown she belongs at this level and should be competitive with a clean trip. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: WINNERS OF 3 BUT NOT MORE THAN 6 OR $80,000 (OS $100,000) LIFETIME. AE: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER OPT. CLM. $80,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (5) MAJOR VELOCITY came up short as the favorite last week, but produced a nice mile. Leading driver J-Mac hops aboard; He should be tough to beat. (7) RIGHT HERE HANOVER has responded to Jamieson taking the reins in her last two starts. She has good speed on both ends of the mile and should be forwardly placed. (1) WILDTURKEY HANOVER has some class and the ability to work from off the pace or try a quarter move. Race 10: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 5) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $62,500) LIFETIME. AE: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER OPT. CLM. $60,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (1) KADIDDLE has some class and a strong late punch. She fits this level well and projects to be closing hard. (3) FLASHCHAP has been right there in every start since shipping in from New York. She is a threat to be right there at the wire once again. (8) PANTOFOLAIO grinded out a nice win last week, but now steps up in class. If he is forwardly placed, I think he can hold on for a piece.
