(6) OVERKILL HALL missed more than two months before his last start but that didn't matter as he jogged and equaled his lifetime mark. He can be even sharper now returning quicker; call to repeat. (10) BUCKHEAD RIDGE is the obvious threat coming off a fast win in the Goldenrod in Kentucky, but trotters have been winning at only a 5 per cent clip from post 10 at this meet. He is a contender but be careful to not take too short of a price. (9) KINNDER THINKTWICE roared up late to take the Grassroots final and that big late speed makes him a threat vs. these. (1) DELCREST BRENT takes frequent shares, and he is worth using on the bottom at a price.

Race 2: NW $1,850 L3

(3) P L OCTAVIUS drops to a spot where there is a good chance that the late pace will collapse late, and I see him vaulting past the leaders in midstretch; top call. (4) THONG CONTROL is another dropper that figures to improve and pass horses late; using. (8) ACAPULCO SUNBURN set an insane pace and stopped but getting no money allows him to drop to the bottom here. He would be no surprise at this level. (6) COMMANDING OFFICER also gets to drop to the bottom, but I don't like the way he shriveled up on the lead last week at even money. I'll play to beat him tonight.

Race 3: Winners of 4 (F&M5) but not more than 6 (F&M7) or $80,000 LT AE: AE: 3YO 4YO and 5YO claiming $60,000 AE: 4YO NW $28,250 (F&M $32,500) in 2023

(6) SOUTHWIND COORS dropped and popped, and he looks good to repeat vs. these. (7) WARRAWEE XALT draws much better this week and that improves his chances quite a bit; using. (2) GAINES HANOVER is obviously one of the best in here being a multiple Grand Circuit winner, but he is 0 for 3 in overnight races this year so I'd tread lightly here. (4) MIDNIGHT MIRACLE should be good for another slice in this spot.

Race 4: NW $8,800 L5 or $17,000 L8 AE: OPT CLM $45,000 - Pick 4

(8) ALL GAS NO BRAKES raced well in his local debut, but he drifted out considerably late. Look for an equipment change with this one tonight. (7) FREE WILLY HANOVER drops, and he should improve at this level. Look for him late. (4) TOKYO SEELSTER could smoke these if he stays flat but what price would you take on him coming off two breaks in stride? (5) DONATOVER was moving well at the wire last week and he should be along for another share here.

Race 5: CLM HDCP $12,000 to $16,000

(10) CLEVER CHARACTER has been a win machine at the B tracks and the leading driver sides with him over the Moreau fresh claim (9) MACH ART IN MOTION. Slight nod to the former but this is close to a toss-up. (7) MACH IMPACT is around the money every week at this level, but he rarely wins. I'll use him underneath here. (5) PROMISE ME A WIN comes off a nice closing effort racing off the claim and he is in the exotics mix.

Race 6: NW $14,000 L5 or $20,000 L8 AE: NW9 or $170,000 LT - Pick 5

Great betting race here and I'll side with (2) MISCHEVIOUS ROSE who draws better and should fall into a nice stalking trip. (8) MIKEY MASS has really come on in his past two starts and he is sharp and dangerous in this spot. (6) PIKACHU HANOVER draws best which should help him get well positioned early this time. He is another in with a shot in a race full of possibilities. (7) PATRIARCH HANOVER has been a money burner in his last four starts and I'll fade him tonight.

Race 7: CLM HDCP $25,000 to $35,000 - Pick 4

(6) FROWNIES MIRACLE improved immediately racing off the claim and closed relentlessly to get up for the win; call to repeat. (7) DOC HOUSTON was game in defeat to the choice, and he could be the main threat right back. (9) CHANGE STRIDE N will be the likely pacesetter again bit I don't see him holding off the choice who drew better; using underneath. (10) HERVEY HANOVER can take slice here dropping into a claimer.

Race 8: NW $18,000 in 2023

This is a good spot for (2) ACTOR HANOVER and I see J Mac sending him right down the road. (6) COBRA KAI has closed well in both starts since requalifying. He should be the late threat here. (8) JOE DIMAGIO was a game dead heat winner last week, but this will be tougher; small share predicted. (4) REVOLT can sit a trip racing near the front and take another small slice.

Race 9: FREE FOR ALL

(1) LOGAN PARK couldn’t be going any better and a threepeat looms for him at a very short price. (2) AMIGO VOLO was closest to the choice last week and he likely completes a chalky Exacta here. (3) H P MAMA B raced great against the two best aged trotting mares on the continent, but this spot is no easier and another share is likely for her. (6) FORBIDDEN TRADE will probably close from the back again and finish on the edges.

Race 10: NW $4,850 L5

(8) TORONTO drops and last time he raced against similar, Hensley sent him right down the road. Expect an aggressive steer here. (9) SUN CHIP raced well from this post last week and he is capable vs. these when he is sharp; using. (3) INSTANTANEOUS was a game first-over winner and he is another that could do in this contentious finale. (2) MAD MAN HILL steps up and likely finishes on the edges in this spot. (4) BOLT POWER regularly takes slices. He is a good one to use on the bottom here.
