Top Pick Stats: 315/904 (-$329.00) Best Bets: 40/82 ($8.10); Spot Plays: 17/81 (-$42.00) Best Bet: SAVOUR THE MOMENT (Race 2) Spot Play: CRUNCH HANOVER (Race 4) Early Pick-5: 3,4,8/4/3,9/1/3,6,10   $3.60 Late Pick-5: 2,6,8/5,8/4,7/5,6/3,6   $9.60 Race 1: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $62,500) LIFETIME. AE: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER OPT. CLM. $60,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (4) TITIAN finds a much softer NW3 group this evening, and was leading driver James Macdonald’s choice in this race. She has the ability to win, but needs to mind her manners and put it all together. (3) TRIX UP MY SLEEVE earned his third win in a row after a first over move. He had Houston Seelster measured in that race, and looked strong when trotting to the wire. He is a logical contender again. (8) ALURE has been solid in her three starts since shipping in from Ohio. Billy Davis can get a horse off the car with the best of them. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: HARVEST SERIES: ONTARIO SIRED 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES, NW $30,000 IN 2025 AS OF SEPTEMBER 30TH 2025. LEG 2. (4) SAVOUR THE MOMENT has had some tough trips of late against faster fillies. She is better than her record shows. I expect her to get a much better trip in a short field and for her to get the job done. (5) ANNIES DIVA sat a tracking trip last week in a race where the field was strung out in the early stages. When she made her second move, a rival had already snuck inside and drawn away. She is another who should shine in this spot. (6) JOSIES JOULES was rather empty after what looked like a reasonable first half on paper. I would look for her to race from off the pace this week. Race 3: HARVEST SERIES: ONTARIO SIRED 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES, NW $30,000 IN 2025 AS OF SEPTEMBER 30TH 2025. LEG 2. (3) KOUNTRY CLOVER was as advertised when making her Canadian debut. She blasted to the lead from post nine and never looked back. She is the horse to beat. (9) LOVE WINS was a very good third last week after starting from the second tier. The outside draw may not be much better, but she has the gate speed to land in a stalking spot from out there. (6) TH TRIX R FORKIDS is showing improvement with each start. She will be making up ground late and is an exotics possibility at a double digit price. Race 4: CLAIMING HANDICAP $30,000 TO $40,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE & SEX. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000. (1) CRUNCH HANOVER has been frequently pacing big miles of late against similar types, and has a couple of main contenders to his far outside. We could see a quarter move en route to a repeat win. (8) BOLD SPIRIT will probably go off as the favorite, and I completely understand that given his last two efforts. He is a down the road threat again tonight. (9) LARRY KARR is in a tricky spot. He looms as a down the road threat on his best day, but has the quickest horse right to his inside. He may be pressured too much in the early stages, or be forced to make two moves. Race 5: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $6,350 LAST 8 STARTS. (W/O $10,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. (6) HF PANS SHADOW had plenty of punch last week from off the pace. He is extremely sharp right now and deserves plenty of respect. McNair is listed, for now. (3) R J RINGO gets a drop in class which could result in a big effort. His last few starts have been very solid against tougher competition. (10) LETS GET ROCKED is nearing six figures on the season after gutting out another win at this level. He will have to overcome the widest post, but that will only inflate the price on a very game horse. Race 6: WINNERS OF 3 (FM 4) BUT NOT MORE THAN 5 (FM 6) OR $110,000 LIFETIME. AE: 4 YEAR MARES NW $50,000 IN 2025. (2) WILDTURKEY HANOVER should probably have more than two trips to the winner’s circle this year. He is a horse who catches your eye most weeks with how he moves, but doesn’t string wins together as often as his backers would like. I’ll give him the nod. (6) MYFRIENDJOSE is another horse I usually come back to. When he is able to sit a stalking trip, his punch is better than most. He draws perfectly if some gate speed wants to be used. (8) RIGHT HERE HANOVER was blasted from post nine against tougher horses and reasonably tired after sitting in the pocket with fast fractions being set. McClure should have an easier time getting towards the front if he so chooses. Race 7: NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,750 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. (8) WILLOWTIME finds a group that he can unleash his back class on. He has made his money in recent starts by grinding into contention, but there’s every chance he could be driven like the best horse in the race. (5) HANDSOME SEBASTIAN is probably the biggest anomaly of Mohawk’s trotting crop, maybe besides Pemberton, who is ironically also in this race. When he is right, he is very good. (1) ALL GAS NO BRAKES came up empty last week, but tends to show more punch than that when sitting close. I’ll use him underneath tonight when dropping in class. Race 8: HARVEST SERIES: ONTARIO SIRED 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES, NW $30,000 IN 2025 AS OF SEPTEMBER 30TH 2025. LEG 2. (7) ALEKSOVA looks for three wins in a row after another sharp sprint home to get the job done. Borth should have her on the move early. (4) FAVORITISM showed some pop in the stretch despite sitting at the back in leg one. Tonight marks her second start on Lasix; She could step forward. (5) PLAYSOMETHINGSWEET made a decent first over move to take the lead, but was overtaken by a filly up the inside who showed more pop. Doug McNair gets the call tonight; I think she can sit close and pick up a piece. Race 9: NW $12,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $33,500 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: NW 10 RACES LIFETIME. (5) HASTY BID got J-Mac’s nod, and now he adds Lasix after an anomaly of a race where Quebec Hanover tried to bottom them out and came back to the field. I would expect him to sit close again and provide more punch this week. (6) WHAT ABOUT ELMO will be five times the price this week after coming up short as an odds on choice. I won’t forget about him after picking him on top last week. (3) DAHLQUIST HANOVER came right back after making a break and tripped out to produce a career-best win. He doesn’t appear to be any worse for wear after some big efforts. He should be used on the ticket somewhere. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: NW $6,600 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS AE: 3 YO NW $25,000 IN 2025. (3) WILLYS HOME RUN just missed by a nose after ending up with a second over trip from post ten. He is too classy for these on his best day. (6) VILLEFRANCHE AS got a slick steer from J-Mac last week and was able to just pick off Willys Home Run. She could see herself in a similar perfect trip spot tonight. (1) TREGARON was a fine fourth in his first start off the bench. This may be a bit too much of a step up, but if he moves forward in his second start back, he can get a piece. Race 11: NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. (9) LAMBORGHINI LOU has paced two huge miles coming into tonight and retains James Macdonald despite drawing wide. She clearly has the ability to get the job done. I’ll look for J-Mac to work out a winning trip. (3) LIVINTHEBEACHLIFE was a strong second behind the sharp Lets Get Rocked last week, and now draws inside. He is a trip out candidate if Borth can get him off the car in good enough order. (5) MOMAS SON BYRNE had no real chance off the move up in class when drawing post ten, but he paced home well and looks to be staying in form. He will have to bring a good effort to contend against these. I’ll use him underneath.
