Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,500 LAST 8 STARTS.
(2) SHES A STREAKER gets a double drop in class and a major post switch. An aggressive steer likely gives her every chance to hold off the pack. I think (9) SORCHA SEELSTER has been better of late and didn’t race that bad last time. Some live cover could tow her right into things. (6) TWIN B EMPRESS has displayed a solid turn of foot recently against these types. She’ll have plenty of options given this draw.

Race 2: SIMCOE: (GR 3). 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES.STARTING FEE: $1,500 CDN ($1,150 USD).
(5) DAYA picked off A Clean Deal in her latest, finally besting that rival for the first time this season. She hasn’t raced since, but I’ll give her the nod. (3) EASY STATION has been flashier than Daya, but I’m still slightly hesitant about Lexington shippers. It wouldn’t shock me if she got picked off. (1) LAVENDER SEELSTER comes off a strong second place finish at Pocono and has gotten around the track nicely this season.
Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, NW $27,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: 3 YEAR OLDS.
(5) CARRERA SUNSET N got stuck behind the fading favorite last week and it was too late once she found clear sailing. Try her again. (3) ALWAYS DAWN raced sharply off cover and held off a charging Glenboro to her inside. She should be in the mix again with an outside move. (2) MADRID A was fortunate that Carrera Sunset didn’t get room until late, but she returned to winning form with a solid first over grind. She deserves another look.
Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: N/A $1,910 P/S IN 2026. AE: NW 4 RACES LIFETIME.
I thought (1) DIRTY DIANA closed nicely after being in the outside flow of the aforementioned Madrid A race. She gets away from those rivals tonight and looms large at a price. (2) PERFECTLY CHIC got away towards the back in that same race and was never able to get involved. The broken equipment she had likely didn’t help. She was in top form prior to last week and has a similarly sharp turn of foot. (3) POWNAL BAY BOBBI has been in excellent form against some top fillies, but finds an interesting spot against older mares because of Easy Station’s presence in the Simcoe. She should hold her own.
Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 4. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).
I think now is the time for (3) MAJOR CONTENDER who could look to quarter move given the presence of (6) VERILY who has a slightly better turn of foot. That could give the former the opportunity to get the jump on the latter, who finished a very good second in the Peaceful Way Final behind Athena’s Girl. (8) ROYAL MOON clearly wasn’t at her best in her Peaceful Way elimination. She has looked best thus far when racing off a helmet from up close.
Race 6: SIMCOE: (GR 3). 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES. STARTING FEE: $1,000 CDN ($775 USD).
(3) STORYBOOK LOVE has yet to get her picture taken this year but she has gotten back to form against some of the best filly trotters in the sport. I’ll excuse the miscue at Yonkers where she was in tight quarters with another rival. (1) WILD ROSE HANOVER gets a driver change and could take her shot at securing a decent trip against a somewhat lackluster group. (5) BINGO NIGHT raced well considering it was likely a tightener and she was up against the boys. She draws well and has plenty of gate speed.
Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 4. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).
(5) D A JOHNNY CASH was under a snug hold by McNair at the wire in his latest and draws well tonight. He has been excellent when he has minded his manners. (3) DETONATER HANOVER dug in more than I originally thought once he was headed at the top of the stretch in the Wellwood, but he returns in just six days. It wouldn’t shock me if he’s a step short. (1) THREE SIX ZERO has had a very solid campaign up to this point, but I thought he would be a little better in the qualifier. He could need one.
Race 8: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW $23,500 LIFETIME. AE: 3 YO NW $8,250 LAST 8 STS.
(7) COLD CREEK CALI suffered broken equipment in her latest and had to pull up. I’ll pitch that line. Her Grand River races prior were very sharp and still hold plenty of weight. (2) PLAY DATE likely benefits from another off-the-pace trip tonight. A live helmet can tow her right into contention. (5) ALEKSOVA had little chance when chasing Adina Hanover from well back. This field should be more to her liking.
Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 4. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).
(5) TREASURE KING was overmatched in her Peaceful Way elim but needed to wait for room to materialize two starts ago. By the time she started accelerating, the race was over. I think she could trip out tonight. (7) FLAWLESS LADY demolished a group of maidens where literally half of the field made breaks. We’ll get a much better idea of where she’s at tonight. (4) DREAMTRADE was trending in the right direction but jumped it off at Hanover in her latest. She could rebound given she also gets away from some top fillies.
Race 10: SIMCOE: (GR 3). 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES. STARTING FEE: $1,000 CDN ($775 USD).
(5) BLUE JEAN GAL shows up for the big pots and typically does very well. She trotted a nice mile last time but (4) CHER HILL got the jump and was extremely good in that outing. I’ll look for the former to turn the tables on the latter. (1) TWIN B SHOWBIZ looked like she hung again in the stretch and was unable to finish passing rivals as the odds-on favorite. Still, her turn of foot can allow her to grind into an underneath spot.

Race 11: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $38,000) LIFETIME. AE: 3 YO NW $15,000 LAST 4 STS.
(3) ARTISTIC DELIGHT has burned her fair share of money this year but her performance from post ten last week is hard to look past. She will win again soon. (8) NAUGHTY DELIGHT is another filly with a quick turn of foot that should put herself into contention. These two could tow each other right into the race. (2) HORSE WITH A PLAN tried to squeeze up the inside in her latest but there just wasn’t any room. I’m surprised nothing was charted because that line is a bit misleading. I think she rebounds for at least a piece.
Race 12: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 4 OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. (W/O $10,000 LAST 8 STS N/E). AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: N/A $1,100 P/S IN 2026. (MIN 5 STS).
(7) DIXIE DREAM finally doesn’t start in the parking lot and is likely to be given a much better chance this week. J-Mac piloted her nicely to a win five back. Looking for something similar. (6) PRETTY MISSY MAY is third back and had to wait for room to materialize after getting shuffled. Multiple moves may need to be made to avoid traffic trouble. (5) SUPERIOR DELIGHT is also third back after a much-improved outing in her latest. Stalking trips are her bread and butter. This draw will help with that.
