(5) TWENTYDOLLARDOLLY should have every chance if she gets away near the front. The draw favors this class dropping filly. (7) CHAROLAIS CATTLE could see the stakes droppers finish 1-2. She has held her own against tougher company all season. Not quite sure what to make of (2) PHAST PHYLLIS who is a fringe NYSS type, but she got around Vernon decently in her lone big track start.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 5: 3 YEAR OLD PACING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).

(5) A CLEAN DEAL took a detour into the overnight ranks when Fellows took shots with his others a couple of weeks ago. She looked excellent in her qualifier and will look to get back on the winning path. (1) POWNAL BAY BOBBI did the same and held her own extremely well with a sustained middle move. She deserves a long look. (7) DAYA has been the main rival of A Clean Deal since the beginning and will look to pick up where she left off in the Simcoe.

Race 3: NW $1,500 LAST 4 STARTS (W/O $7,500 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: N/A $875 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 8 STARTS). AE: NW $13,000 IN 2026.

(5) DANCE CAPTAIN can go a long way on the front when he is used early in the mile. I could see him bottoming out this group. (7) LARCENY has been sharp in his last two outings but will need to do a little work early in the race to make sure he isn’t starting his move from eighth. (2) FOREFATHER is rounding back into form and could be in line to pick off more rivals if my top pick falters.

Race 4: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $25,000. AE: N/A $1,545 P/S IN 2026.

(2) ALL GAS NO BRAKES takes a double drop in class and I don’t see anyone who could sneak away from him in this spot. I could see (6) THE BEAR A CUDA trying another first over blitz in this spot. I’m not quite sure what I make of that race because the leaders completely wore themselves out. (10) FIREINSIDEMYVEINS has been solid at Mohawk over the last month. Despite the wide draw, he can get into the race in a variety of ways.

Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $15,000. AE: NW $70,000 IN 2025-26.

(9) SANTAFES APPETITE tried her usual grinding approach last week but was able to work into the race much better. I’ll look for her to work out the winning trip this week. (8) PREMIER DELIGHT races off the claim after two strong wins and will likely take some play given who the new connections are. (1) ONE LAST BET was unable to finish her mile last week which doesn’t leave me too optimistic for tonight. Her ceiling appears to be an underneath spot.

Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, NW $20,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: NW $120,000 IN 2026.

(8) ULTIMATE DESBI N was closing best of anyone after getting to the outside in the stretch. She gets away from Open types and should be tough here. (4) SENSATIONALIZE A was in the live cover flow and managed to snag a check in that same race. A live helmet could be just what she needs again. (2) GLITTERING HOPE shipped up to Mohawk and made her debut in the Menary barn a winning one. We’ll see what she can provide tonight.

Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (OS 5) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $81,750) LIFETIME.

(8) MOLLYS ON FIRE had little chance in her latest given the pace setup but still managed to snag a check. She should be more involved this week. (4) BETTER B SOMETHING finished just ahead of her in that race and could be set for a speed try this week. (1) SINGINGINTHERAIN was a good second last week and could track along again to get a piece.

Race 8: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $9,750 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $1,935 P/S IN 2025-2026.

(5) BATTERUP HANOVER could be sneaky good here with a forward trip. Many of these are grinding types that he could get the jump on. (2) LOUS WORLD hasn’t raced in over a month but at least got a qualifier under his belt. A little reset could be what he needed. (7) RBSTENACIOUS T wasn’t great in his latest and continues to look for a wakeup call. It could come here.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $13,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $2,445 P/S IN 2026.

(2) MARGOSGOTTHECARGO is capable of producing consistent miles like that if she stays sound. I’ll side with her tonight and hope she steps forward. (8) TELLS ON A ROLL takes a sizable drop in class which could easily be more than enough for this classy mare. (1) ONE LAST WISH does her best work when forwardly placed. She could get her wish, no pun intended, in this spot.

Race 10: NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS (W/O $7,500 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: N/A $1,165 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: OPT. CLM. $15,000.

(5) WASTINGNOTIME has been racing well at this level in the month of September and could finally work out a winning trip tonight. (2) WILDFIRE BLUE CHIP managed to snag a piece after getting away at the back of the pack. He can get into the race regardless of trip. (9) SAY OUI got shuffled in her latest and didn’t have the best opportunity to get going late. She works from the outside post but a better trip could be the difference.

Race 11: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS OR PROSPECT STARTERS FOR NW $15,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: OS 3 YR OLDS NW $20,000 IN 2026.

(8) CACKLE BERRY hasn’t had the best form of late but has been chasing some sharp fillies. She could surprise at a price with the right trip. (6) HORSE WITH A PLAN draws well this week and should be one of the first to the lead. (10) ALEKSOVA finally put it all together last week but now has to navigate the high draw. She can close for a piece.

Race 12: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $6,500 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $25,000. AE: NW $46,500 IN 2026 (MIN 20 STARTS).

(6) SORCHA SEELSTER may have been the best in the group last week but didn’t get outside until it was too late. We’ll see if she works out a winning trip this time. (5) SETTN A PRECEDENT was better in her latest and picks up a new driver tonight. (2) LANESIDE INCONTROL is a hit and miss type but can really perform when she’s on her game. I’ll split the difference and use her underneath.
