Race 1: Grassroots starters 2YO colts and geldings **Gtd. $75,000 Pick 5**
(6) COUSIN HALIFAX is on a roll, and he just won a Grassroots race as the chalk at five cents on the dollar. He is the one to catch and beat here. (1) THE BEAR A CUDA was first up a long way trying to pass the choice and he hung in there for 2nd. He could turn the tables if he gets a better trip this time. (4) HAY DAD notched two wins in his past three starts at this track and it appears as if he is better racing on the bigger track. He can be a threat racing from close range, and he is another possibility for the early Pick 5. (2) HP LUCAS comes in off an improved effort and he can land another share tonight.

Race 2: 5YO and younger NW1 (winners for a purse of $9,000 or less NW2) or $8,500 LT
In a race with no standout, I’ll side with (1) RISE N GRIND, who was interestingly chosen by Macdonald who drove him two starts back when he was beaten only a length at this track in a Prospect series race. (9) MINOTAUR is sharp, and he comes in off a decent first up effort, and he should be the main threat to the choice; using. (4) JULIUS HANOVER was a close 2nd here two starts back and he could beat these if he gets put into the race early enough. (6) MELS LEGACY failed twice to last on the lead when bet heavily and he is now 0 for 17. I’ll play to beat him in this Pick 5.

Race 3: F&M NW $8,600 L5 or $18,250 L10 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 AE: NW $39,850 IN 2024 (MIN. 10 STARTS)
(6) SHESASHARPSHOOTER missed a check racing at a much higher level last week and that allows her to drop multiple class levels and meet a field that she should handle racing on the lead all the way. She will be a single for me in the early Pick 5. (5) BETTERNOTMACHME raced well first up last week, but she couldn’t hold off sharp closer (7) LADY GET LUCKY. Both of these mares should be part of the Super in this field. (1) LEE LOO got brutalized trying to make front last week. She should get a better trip here and she can land a share tonight.
Race 4: Pop Up Series Consolation - Pick 4
(9) MAGICAL ARTHUR raced better last week, and it appears the lead is his for the taking tonight; top call. (2) FOREFATHER got two brutal parked trips in a row now he draws inside where he should find a spot on the pylons for the first 1/2 of this race. He should be closing late, and he is a threat in this field. (4) LETS GET PICKLED fired a sub-27 kicker last week and he will be coming late again tonight but I wonder if he will fall victim to pace and trip. I’ll use him underneath. (5) UP JOEYS CREDIT is another closer that should pass some rivals late; small share predicted.
Race 5: F&M NW $4,550 L5 or $8,800 L10 AE: N/A $1,535 P/S IN 2024 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: NW OF A RACE IN 2024 (MIN 10 STARTS)
(4) FIRSTOFANERA finished 2nd against better two starts back and she likely drops and pops here. (7) DUCHENNE comes off a sharp Pop Up win and she gets McNair with Macdonald opting for the choice. She should be a speed threat again here. (5) MY ONLY SUNSHINE’s closing kick should play better in this field; price look for the exotics. (9) STONEBRIDGE DRAMA hasn’t missed the top four since August 8th and that trend should continue here.
Race 6: F&M 4YO and younger NW2 or $24,850 LT AE: 4YR N/A $390 P/S LAST 10 STARTS - Pick 5
(9) DUCHESS DEO looked good dusting a field of maidens and she gets the call to repeat here as this isn’t the toughest step up to NW2. (4) ROSE COLORDGLASSES shoots for three straight in 2024 and she picks up McNair tonight. She is another that’s steps up to NW2 but she is clearly improved, and she would be no surprise here. (1) POINT BREEZE raced off a stale date when she shipped north but it didn’t matter. She produced a strong first up effort to win, and she is another option in a good betting race. (6) LITTLE PAPI got room late in the mile last week, but she was one-paced. I’ll use her underneath here.
Race 7: Claiming $20,000 for NW $39,000 LT AE: 4YO NW1 L10 - Pick 4
(2) OLAF DU LAC has compiled a good record racing in Quebec for breeder/part-owner Roy who takes the lines tonight. I’ll give him a slight nod in a wide-open race. (5) ALLADIN DU LAC comes in sharp from Grand River and he gets the leading driver. He should get a setup for his late kick in this spot, and he will be on my multi-race tickets. (10) BETTOR ON ICE will get put into play by Henry but he is more likely to take a share than a win starting from out there; using underneath. (1) FRIAR VOLTAIRE frequently finishes on the edges, and he is a good one to use on the bottom.
Race 8: F&M NW $14,000 L5 or $33,800 L8
(3) DABARNDAWGSWATCHIN was a good 2nd to the tough Huntress last week now she gets to take a class drop. She should dominate here at a short price. (5) STYLE FOR A MILE was 3rd in that same mile. She can get a good trip racing close to the front tonight and compete the Exacta. (2) SHES GOT IT ALL dropped and popped but this is a tougher spot tonight, and she will likely close for a small share. (4) MS QUICK SAND should lay closer to the pace tonight and land in the bottom of the exotics.

Race 9: Claiming $20,000 for NW $67,000 LT AE: N/A $695 P/S IN 2024
(7) KEYSTONE DORAL couldn’t be any sharper and he is the one to beat here as he looks for a fifth straight win. (6) KYLES ART gets Roy in the bike with Macdonald opting for the choice and he is also on a good roll. These two will likely battle for the win. (4) MANHAWK has been unable to beat Kyles Art in recent starts. I’ll use him underneath tonight. (8) BERENS WEAPON will be closing from the back again and he will likely be too late; small share predicted.
Race 10: Pop Up Series Final
(5) PIPEWRENCH CHARLIE will be even sharper this week in his third start back and there should be lots of action in this Pop Up final. I give him the nod to chase down the leaders in the stretch. (7) BETTORBEFLYIN dominated on the engine when beating the choice and he is an obvious threat here; using. (9) WILDRIVERBUMBLEBEE was a strong first up winner, and he took a new life’s mark and he’s hard to leave out, but he can get over bet here. (4) DELIGHTFUL LEADER is another very sharp horse and he looks for a fourth straight win. He is sure to contribute to what should be a hot early pace. (2) PALLADIUM HANOVER should sit a nice trip and take a share.
