Race 1: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS Leg 4 3YO Colts and Geldings **Guaranteed $100,000 Pick 5**

This race is being re-run from Monday night because it was declared no contest with one of the horses loose and galloping the opposite direction of the field. (5) RED OVERBACH was no match for Star Power Hanover but he stacks up well here and he was leading the no-contest race early when it was called off. (6) MAPLE LEAF BOUND was first up last time and that's not his best trip. He likely sits and rallies for a share tonight. (7) FEEL THE FORCE looked good taking a Grassroots win from off the pace before the no-contest which he caused when off stride and loose. I can't take a short price on him now. (4) ANGELS EXPRESS is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics drawing inside for this.

Race 2: F&M NW $2,000 L3 AE: OPT CLM $15,000

(2) MY MOTHER PEARL gets a catch driver back for her second try at this level after the trainer drove last week (only his second drive of 2022). Expect sharp improvement here; top call. (5) MY BABY GIRL is sharp now and she should be right there again starting from a good post tonight. This is a better spot for (7) KICKIN COWGIRL, who also gets a positive driver change. Filion should put her into play early and she is in with a shot. (8) NIGHTLIFE SEELSTER will take action on the class drop tonight but she is 2 for 38 over the past two seasons. Your call, but I would demand a price.

Race 3: OPEN

This is a prep for next week's prestigious Maple Leaf Trot, so I would be careful here. (4) IT'S ACADEMIC raced well in Ohio last time and previous to that he faced the monster Alrajah One three times in a row. He should be a threat to lead these all the way. (5) ATLANTA was used hard in the Steele and she was a sitting duck for a fresh Bella Bellini late. She hasn't raced since and I can see her getting an easy trip here prepping for next week. (1) FORBIDDEN TRADE was really good last time but he was too far out of position to get up in time. I wonder if we see more of the same here especially starting from the rail. (2) LOGAN PARK was given a perfect trip last week and he knew what to do with it in the lane. He should offer another good price here if you are sticking with him.

Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GOLD Leg 4 3YO Colts and Geldings - Pick 4

(1) KOLBY TWO STEP got a useful tightener in for this after missing four weeks, now it's 'go' time; top call. (7) SPORT SECRET did well to get a check in the Milstein now he is back in where he fits better and he is the one to fear. (3) MACHO PHIL is another that got a tightener in last week that figures to be in the mix tonight. I'll use him underneath. (5) CENTURY INSPECTOR comes off a good Gold try and big odds but other have a recency edge on him. I'll use him on the bottom.

Race 5: F&M 5YO and Younger NW3 or $40,000 LT AE: 3YO to be claimed for $50,000

(3) COME ROLL WITH ME gets a barn change and McNair back here and she does her best with him in the bike; slight nod in a tough race. (1) CONTROL THE THONG adds Lasix tonight which could lead to a form reversal. I'll use her on multi-race tickets. (10) CHELSIS CHOICE is capable, even moving up one class, but post is the big obstacle again. I'll use her underneath. (6) INTOTHEMYSTICMOON has a good record in limited action. I can see her taking a share racing off the shelf tonight.

Race 6: CASUAL BREEZE 3YO Fillies - Pick 5

(4) ADARE CASTLE is the local queen of the castle until dethroned and there is a chance she may not even go off chalk here; top call. (3) WARRAWEE XENIA was on a big roll leading up to the Hambletonian Oaks but she broke at the start and she couldn't show what she could do. This has the potential to be a great showdown between the top two choices. (5) PENCILS DOWN raced well here Monday night against the boys and I can see her getting a piece of this at a price. (2) SAUNDRA is having a good year racing in Golds and she should be part of the Tri or Super here.

Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GOLD Leg 4 3YO Colts and Geldings - Pick 4

(1) STONEBRIDGE HELIOS got a great tightener for this Gold event and you can be sure he will be put into this race much earlier. He is strictly the one to beat here. (3) RON is another that used last week’s start in an overnight race to stretch his legs and he is in with an upset chance here. (4) SOUTHSIDE EDDY probably should have won a Gold race on 7/23 but the trip didn't pan out. He is sharp and he should contend for a good piece of this. (2) ST LADS STERLING is always around the money. He is in the exotics mix here.

Race 8: F&M NW $15,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 or NW $150,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $75,000

(2) MISS ROCKADALI consistently produces a good effort every week. That's how she worked her way to this level from racing in $8,500 claimers in February. She is sharp and she should be right there again tonight; top call. (9) SNOW SHARK should get an aggressive Cullen steer on the class drop tonight and she should be the one to beat at this level. (5) TRAFALGAR got a tough trip last week and she was still only beaten 2 1/2 lengths. She is in the mix here. (8) DABARNDAWGSWATCHIN dropped and popped as expected but McNair gave her a perfect trip and it still took her most of the stretch drive to get by the leaders. I'll use her underneath on the class rise tonight.

Race 9: F&M OPEN

(2) SO MUCH MORE just keeps gutting out wins and she is the one to beat again. (5) AMAZING DREAM N has faced the best all year but the choice is no pushover. She is the obvious threat in this spot. (1) SHES NUN BETTOR N got everything her own way last week and she still couldn't seal the deal. Maybe she looks for the pocket tonight. (6) AWESOME HILL is sharp and she was 2nd to the choice last week. She is in the exotics mix again.

Race 10: F&M NW $6,000 L5 or $12,000 L10 or NW4 LT AE: OPT CLM $40,000

(8) SPORTY TORI comes off a nice effort at a similar level and she should be the one to beat in here tonight. (2) GOT SEXY SCARS steps up off a sharp win and her driver continues to run hot. She is another in with a chance here. (5) BETTOR BE DONNA N was used hard early last week and she had nothing left for the stretch drive. She can get an easier trip here and she has upset potential. (4) TWIN B TIPSTER can close for a share starting from a better post tonight. (1) GOODNIGHT IRENE is capable of better than she has been showing. I think she will be part of the exotics tonight.
