(5) SWIFT TALKER gets off the rail and gets Borth tonight, so a more aggressive drive is likely. She would be no surprise in this spot. (6) TWIN B EMPRESS left for position, took a shuffle then re-rallied. She is another in with a shot here. (4) ALWAYS BE MERRY gets J Mac for trainer Moore and they have clicked together recently. She comes in from Ottawa in decent form and she is yet another possibility in a race where it makes sense to spread. Race 5: F&M NW $14,900 L5 AE: OPT CLM $70,000 AE: NW $500 in 2024 (6) CAVIAR AND CRACKERS looks like she is sitting on a win, and she fits well vs. this group. She gets top billing starting from the best post tonight. (1) GLENBORO finished with pace last week and she is another that seems to fit well at this level. She can be a speed threat in this spot, and she is the other one that I’ll use on multi-race tickets. (10) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL drops but draws worst and post 10 will likely be her undoing here. I’ll use her underneath. (7) BLUEMEA KISS is usually in the mix and her speed makes her a contender for a slice here. Race 6: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M4) or $21,000 LT - Pick 5 (2) SEVEN SUMMERS seemed to be straightened out when she jogged over maidens last week. I’ll give her the nod to repeat against NW2 tonight. (5) CRAIGIEBURN shows a pattern where he races well then breaks stride. This is supposed to be the start where he stays flat and if he does, he should be right there. (6) CAPULET requalified decently, and she is fast enough to contend with these if she behaves. I prefer to use her underneath in this spot, however. (8) CHAIN GANG looked sharp winning last week despite his stale date, and he can complete the Exacta here. (7) WIKIPEDIA paced a sub-54 back 1/2 in his last start and he can pass enough of these late to take a slice. (6) CRUSH KILL DESTROY was 3rd to the choice in the mid-season final and he should be in the exotics mix again here. Race 8: FILLIES & MARES PREFERRED. (3) JM BETONSIX comes off a win for a hot barn. She is worth tossing on late Pick 4 tickets. (6) SPORTS DUCHESS gets Macdonald tonight and that makes her worth a look for the exotics at a price. (10) FLIGHT CREW N drops but draws worst in a field where there seems to be several that want to leave. She should be rated higher if she drew better.
