Top Pick Stats: 351/1103 (-$513.60)

Best Bets: 42/98 (-$27.70); Spot Plays: 22/102 (-$69.00)

Best Bet: LANESIDE INCONTROL (Race 11)

Spot Play: KISS N (Race 10)

Early Pick-5: 3,7/5,6/5,7/5,6/4,7 $6.40

Late Pick-5: 3,4/1,5,8/5,6/1,7/1 $4.80

Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: 4YO NW 2 RACES LAST 8 STARTS.

(7) MADAM X drops back to face optional 30 claimers where she just missed two back. I expect a speed try to carry her a long way. (3) TAMARA HANOVER has lowered her lifetime mark in back-to-back weeks and is in the best form of her career. (5) PIPERS LUNA has been pacing some sneaky good miles and could benefit from a forward trip.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 1: 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).

(5) GOGO GADGET was an impressive winner on debut and will look to continue that form in his first stakes attempt. (6) WHEELS UP paced strongly through the wire in his second morning prep and looks like a horse that should improve in start number one. (2) BULLDOG XPRESS is a well-bred colt for top connections who is likely to improve off the bat.

Race 3: 2 YEAR OLDS.

(5) HONCHO was well-supported on debut but spoiled his chances with a miscue. He looked strong in his second morning prep; I’ll try him again. (7) GREAT WHITE NORTH trotted a decent mile behind Stable Genius’s full brother and is making his debut after that lone event. If he is ready, he should do well. (1) LETS PLAY ECURIE should show more in start two, especially if he gets away a little better.

Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 1: 2 YEAR OLD PACING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).

(6) ACEANDATEN has cruised in all three morning preps and looks to have more in the tank. We’ll see if she can hold off (5) TWIN B GIRL TALK who was widest of all when pacing home in her debut. She was able to just get up in the final few strides. J-Mac gives her the nod. (2) CHAROLAIS CATTLE was motoring late on debut but just missed. Having that experience under her belt will help.

Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $6,000 LAST 8 STARTS. (W/O $22,500 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: N/A $1,675 P/S IN 2026.

(7) GLENBORO didn’t get her kind of trip last week but drops again and should be forwardly placed. (4) PRETTY MISSY MAY got another quality steer from McClure and just missed against the white-hot Tamara Hanover. Look for similar tactics to net her a similar finish. I’ve always liked (1) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL and she puts in decent efforts most weeks. That’s not enough to get her higher than an underneath spot, however.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 1: 2 YEAR OLD PACING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).

(3) MONEY CARLO caught some eyes right away and followed it up with a blowout win in her second morning prep. She looks like the filly to beat. (4) QUED UP has a race under her belt and was able to hold off Charolais Cattle in a final quarter sprint. She should be right there. (2) NZINGA has gotten over the Meadowlands track decently and should continue to improve tonight. I can see her snagging a piece.

Race 7: NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $12,500. AE: NW $15,500 IN 2026.

(8) YOU GUESSED IT is a risky play given recent breaking history but he qualified nicely. If he can get back to form right away, he could upset. (5) BUCK DANCER is logical after his win but he had to hang on as the favorite and might have to hang on tonight. (1) FRENCHY HANOVER tends to pick up pieces at this level and should do so tonight if she gets away okay.

Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 1: 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).

(6) STAMPEDE was a strong second behind Gogo Gadget who many will be backing earlier in the card. He should provide similar speed. (5) THE SWOOPER nearly lived up to his name on debut but had to settle for second. If he continues to progress, he should do well again. (2) TONITE SHOW has shown that he can get around bigger tracks and should be in line for improvement for top connections.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, NW $20,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: NW $55,000 IN 2026 (MIN 6 STARTS).

Tough race. (7) MADRID A isn’t normally a fit at this level but she ripped off an effort that would have her contending with Open mares. McNair may say catch me if you can. (1) ALWAYS DAWN tried to storm home from the back against top mares, but that wasn’t going to work. If she gets away a touch closer and finds a live helmet, this week could be hers. (3) CARRERA SUNSET N saw the rail open up in her latest which allowed her to steal the win. I think her race is entirely determined on trip, but she has been pacing good miles.

Race 10: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: N/A $3,875 PER START IN 2026.

(1) KISS N took some support in her first start back after a month and got what looked like a perfect tightener. She could provide a big effort tonight. (6) ABSOLUTION tried a similar route to Always Dawn and was unable to make that stick. She could be in line for a forward trip tonight. (2) COLD CREEK FUEGO got a great drive from Louis Roy two starts ago and showed speed last week that should allow her to hang with these. She could provide value underneath.

Race 11: POP UP SERIES FINAL: F&M STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $12,000 OR LESS IN L4 STARTS. (W/O $50,000 IN 2026 NE). AE: N/A $2,000 P/S IN 2025-26.

(9) LANESIDE INCONTROL looks for a series sweep and should be on the move in the early stages. (10) SENSATIONALIZE A could find herself having to make multiple moves from the high draw which could leave her slightly out of position against these. (1) FATED FIRE has gotten two nice steers from Thiessen in this series and could work out a winning trip if others mix it up.
