Race 1: ONT. Sired 2YO that have started in Grassroots, NW $10K LT **$100,000 GTD Pick 5**
(1) SOUTHWIND PHAROAH shows two decent Grassroots tries and driver Young has been heating up here recently; top call in the opener. (6) JUJU HANOVER was right there in his opener and he is an obvious threat and the probable chalk; using. (7) ATS HANOVER has been stymied by accelerating late paces in his last two starts. He is likely to be aggressive leaving the gate and he is another in with a chance in the opening leg of the early Pick 5. (4) SPORTS FAN wasn't asked to do much in his debut. From a better post facing easier here, he could improve sharply.

Race 2: F&M 5YO and Younger NW3 or $60,000 LT
(6) MYWISHLISTFORYOU was pinned down on the inside by the leader until it was too late last week and when she finally got room the race had been decided. That rival that kept her buried is gone and she gets top billing here. (5) SPELLCHECK HANOVER had a hand in keeping the choice pinned as she idled first over due to the late pace being very strong. She should be a threat tonight; using. (3) DOCS HARMONY motored up late after getting a great following trip and she past both top choices. I prefer to use her underneath envisioning her coming late for a share again. (4) NECTAR exits a fast race where she couldn't get involved. She can go better here.
Race 3: Claiming Handicap $17,500 for NW $35,000 LT
(2) BAD N ROYAL turned things around in a hurry racing off the McKibbin claim last week, grinding out a long first-over trip and prevailing. He gets the call to repeat. (5) MYINSIDEVOICE was about a length behind the field leaving the gate and that cost him position but he was moving well late. He can be a threat here. (1) ADRENALINE RUSH is another one that should be closer early and that should lead to him landing a spot in the Tri or Super. (8) OUTLAW STATEOFMIND qualified well for this but he needs a clean line here and I expect him to make a late charge for a share.
Race 4: F&M NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10 - Pick 4
(7) FREE FLYIN TICKET made a second 1/4 power move to the front last week but a 56-flat middle 1/2 was not a recipe for success at this lowest conditioned level. A slightly easier trip tonight puts her right there on the wire. (9) QUESO RELLENO was a winner last time she raced this low on June 15th so Jamieson will likely motivate her early here. She is in with a decent chance despite drawing widest. (2) MACH MY KISS was close at this level two starts back and her good tactical speed puts her in the picture with these; using. (4) SECRETS LADY’s best recent race came at this level two starts back and she can take another share vs. these.
Race 5: NW $3,300 L5 or $7,200 L10
(6) FREE WILLY HANOVER gets to drop to the bottom while making his third start of the year here. He should be formidable in this spot. (4) BRONZE YANKEE was picked to win here last week when dropping several classes but he was scratched. He stacks up well vs. these and he should be right there at the wire. (3) LIFE IS A FEAST improved when he dropped to this level and he should be good for at least another share tonight. (9) NOTHING BUT MUSCLE is capable at this level but his recent form south of the border is uninspiring. He could improve here and sneak into the Super.
Race 6: F&M 4YO and Younger NW2 or $30,000 LT - Pick 5
(4) VOLUPTUOUS shoots for her fourth straight win and she is the one to beat again in another winnable spot. (8) SETTN A PRECEDENT has produced big speed on more than one occasion and she can give the choice a race here if she can work out a trip from the widest post. (2) JANE DIAMOND exits some tough races south of the border but she hasn't raced since July 7th. She is likely capable vs. these on her best day, but I wouldn't take a short price. (1) CONTROL THE THONG can take another small share in this second start of the year.
Race 7: Fillies and Mares 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT
(5) NORTHERN LUXURY was being pointed to the front by McClure last week when she jumped it off at the start and she also got skippy in the lane when she had a good head of steam built up and was closing ground. I think she handles these maidens if she stays flat. (4) TWEETER HANOVER closed a bit of ground into an accelerating pace here on the 20th now she moves inside where Henry is likely to get more aggressive early. She is the logical alternative to the choice. (8) JENNA WATCH split rivals late and looked briefly like a winner in what was a decent effort here when she finished ahead of the choice and she should take a share vs. these. (7) MARETRAFFICCONTROL should improve with the drop to face maidens. She can land in the Tri or Super.
Race 8: FILLIES AND MARES PREFERRED HANDICAP - Pick 4
(6) LIT DE ROSE was airborne late in the mile last week but she was simply too far back to threaten the leaders. I expect a more aggressive steer from Roy tonight. (7) SO MUCH MORE is always the mare to beat in this class and she comes off a gritty win over most of these. (3) MAJOR OCCASION A is an interesting new shooter coming north who faced some of the best mares on the continent in her last start but this is no easy spot; using underneath. (5) KARMA SEELSTER is always in the mix and she should be part of the Tri or Super tonight.
Race 9: 2YO NW1 or $10,000 LT
(2) UP THE CREEK left well enough from the 8-hole to get early position at Grand River then he had the impossible mission of going first up trying to chase down a leader that was accelerating away in a 28 1/5 final 1/4. He stacks up well tonight and he gets the nod. (8) CONTACT ZONE figures to improve dropping from the Golds but this is no soft spot as there are a few promising colts in here. I won't take a short price. $50,000 Harrisburg buy (4) CASSINI is a 1/2-brother to local millionaire Solar Sister and he goes for a barn that typically sends them ready to fire early; using. (5) OUTCLASSED already has a sub-1:56 win on his card and he is another capable colt in a race with many options.

Race 10: F&M NW $17,600 L5 or $31,500 L10 or NW $110,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $35,000
(2) IVANA FLYBYE N returns from a two race stint at Georgian Downs with an easy $13K and she looks best at this level; top call. (1) WESTBEACH fires home quickly every week but she needs a trip. She might just get one starting from the rail tonight; using. (5) PARISIAN BLUE CHIP endured a tough first-over grind last week and she stayed game. She's not out of this. (4) COUSIN MARY was cleverly driven to a win by Henry last week in a lower class, but she is sharp and she can round out the Super.
Race 11: F&M NW $8,500 L5 or $17,000 L10 or NW $80,000 LT
(4) LADY ROCKNROLLA A gets to drop off a strong effort vs. tougher last week and making her third start back over this track since returning from the U.S. she has a good chance vs. these. (2) SOMEWHERE NORTH got stung in the third 1/4 last week and she couldn't hold her lead late. She could beat these off a different and easier trip. (5) LYONS TILT HANOVER mowed her rivals down with ease last week and she merits a look for the late Pick 4 despite moving up tonight. (3) KICKIN COWGIRL is a good one to use in the bottom rungs of the Super and High-5 and is (9) SPORTY TORI who figures to take a slice on the class drop.
