(8) CANT TURN YOU DOWN pulled away very impressively without much urging from McClure. Hard to get past her. (2) FAVORITISM looks like she developed over the winter. I’ll count on her to be ready to go off the bench. (3) LAINEY BLU is better when forwardly placed and is usually a consistent enough pacer to keep herself in the mix.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(7) SPEEDY MICHAEL was first over on debut and trotted a nice mile. I think he gets the best of this field tonight. (5) DA TRIXTER was gapping cover but still sustained his middle move, then ducked inside and picked off a rival. (1) KING OF THE SOUTH is progressing nicely and should be in the mix for a piece. He has navigated the inside posts very well.

Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (OS 6) RACES OR $60,000 LIFETIME.

(1) EASY STATION was the easiest of winners two starts ago at this level. She stands out here despite the growing time away. (4) NAUGHTY DELIGHT kicked big again last week but was just a little too far back when starting the move. A live helmet could make her dangerous. (6) JEN TILLY adds Lasix this week. She was used too hard in the early stages last time, but draws better tonight.

Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(6) GRACEFUL KING produced a promising debut from off the pace. He looms large here and should take plenty of support. (8) GREAT WHITE NORTH raced well first over and ultimately provided cover to the winner. He is a main threat in this field. (1) CLARKY was first over into a quickening third quarter and couldn’t sustain his move, which is logical. A better trip could see him make a late charge.

Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $46,250) LIFETIME. AE: 3 YR OLDS NW $15,000 IN 2026.

(7) MADAME PANIC is second back after a strong second behind Cackle Berry. If she steps forward, she should pose a big threat to this field. (3) ON FLEEK set a career best in her latest and has a good draw to compliment her early speed. (5) KISSEDBYASTRANGER hasn’t quite had the punch to step up against these types, but she is always in the mix. She also draws well tonight.

Race 6: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS.

(1) ACCESS NOW was probably best in his debut but was out of position. He trotted home nicely and should improve a lot in start two. (7) THE ITALIAN JOB got the jump on Access Now and looked solid in his own right. He should be in the mix again. (2) POINT BLANK has looked solid in both outings in the morning and looms as a bit of a wild card here.

Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(6) ERINWOOD COSMO is continuing to progress and just missed as the favorite last week. Likely an early pace presence who should be in the mix late. (8) KINGS CROWN N COKE held off all of his rivals after getting to the lead. I would expect a similar trip for him tonight. (4) STORMONT MAROON looms as a bit of an unknown, but it’s hard to not imagine him stepping forward here. I wouldn’t want to get beat by him in multis.

Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).

(7) UNSTABLE GENIUS flashed some huge potential on debut when professionally tracking down the leader. He is the horse to beat. (1) DETONATER HANOVER was tracked down by Unstable Genius but showed promise of his own. They are the main two in this race. (5) SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE had to race from the back against some quality colts in his debut. Expect him to be positioned much better tonight and get a piece.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $46,250) LIFETIME. AE: 3 YR OLDS NW $15,000 IN 2026.

(4) ARTISTIC DELIGHT had to swing way wide around the final turn and lost ground which halted her big kick. I think she can sustain that middle move this week. (5) NO BETTER AIR had no chance last time when leaving from post ten. She should be put in play tonight. (3) EMCEE bested Artistic Delight last time out but that was four weeks ago. She could be a step short fitness wise.

Race 10: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(2) BALIUS gets a big change of connections after his career debut where he made a miscue. I think he puts forth a winning effort tonight with a better draw. (8) R NORTHERN STAR hasn’t been able to string together flat efforts but appears to have some ability if he can put it all together. (4) BLACK SHANK is progressing decently for top connections and should show more tonight.

Race 11: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $15,500 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: NW $35,000 IN 2026 (MIN 15 STARTS).

(8) TAMARA HANOVER should find more success grinding against this group who is a bit of a question mark right now. (2) MADAM X is second off the claim and could try to go down the road or make a quarter move. (6) SETTN A PRECEDENT nearly pulled off a gigantic upset last week when positioned near the front. She has been successful with that tactic lately.
