Race 1: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(1) SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE had to race from the back against some quality colts in his debut. Expect him to be positioned much better tonight. (5) POINT BLANK has looked solid in both outings in the morning and looms as a bit of a wild card here. (2) THE GREAT GAZOO has just one qualifier under his belt but it was a solid one. If he’s ready to go, he should be in the mix.

Race 2: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW $16,500 (ON SIRED $27,000) LIFETIME.

(7) ARTISTIC DELIGHT had to swing way wide around the final turn and lost ground which halted her big kick. I think she can sustain that middle move this week. (1) EMCEE bested Artistic Delight last time out but that was three weeks ago now. She could be a step short fitness wise. (5) FAVORITISM looks like she developed over the winter and could be in the mix off the bench.

Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(7) YANKEE SCOUT sustained a solid middle move in his second career start and looks like he is progressing nicely. I’ll give him the nod in an open race. (8) CATTLETRACKS raced well from an outside post on debut and sprinted well despite losing the lead. Does he blast again? (4) THE SWOOPER may look for an off-the-place trip this week given the early speed that might be shown. That could benefit him the most.

Race 4: TOMPKINS-GEERS: 2 YEAR OLD COLT & GELDING TROT. STARTING FEE: $500 USD $675 CDN.

(7) ACCESS NOW was probably best in his debut but was out of position. He trotted home nicely and should improve a lot in start two. (1) UNSTABLE GENIUS flashed some huge potential on debut when professionally tracking down the leader. He is the horse to beat. (8) THE ITALIAN JOB got the jump on Access Now and looked solid in his own right. He should be in the mix again.

Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $7,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: N/A $1,450 P/S OR $20,000 IN 2026 (MIN 10 STS).

(5) WICKEDPACE should flash early speed and will likely look to wire this field. I think she can. (9) DIXIE DREAM gets around the bigger track much better and showed that last week. She should improve second start here. (1) LADYTERRA doesn’t have the quickest turn of foot in the early stages but can take a lot of air and still move forward on the end of it. That should have her in the mix again.

Race 6: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: GRASSROOTS STARTERS FOR NW $16,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: PROSPECT STARTERS.

(9) BALIUS gets a big change of connections after his career debut where he made a miscue. I think he puts forth a winning effort tonight despite another outside draw. (3) DA TRIXTER was gapping cover but still sustained his middle move, then ducked inside and picked off (1) GREAT WHITE NORTH who raced well first over and provided that cover. Both should be in the mix tonight against these types.

Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(6) TH THEO got shuffled last week which took him out of contention. He finds an easier group tonight and should try to get out of traffic trouble. (5) NEVER AGAIN had no answer after the favorite cleared and faded back to fifth. He could look for a live helmet to follow tonight. (7) MARK THE MECHANIC is progressing nicely and could be ready to step up and get a piece.

Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 3. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).

(4) STROBE LITE prepped with a sharp mile for tonight’s Gold where he looks to win again. (2) TOUCHEDBYANANGEL went a similar trip and prepped similarly well in between stakes tries. He should be forwardly placed like in the past. (9) MAIZE AND BLUE continues to be extremely consistent and does his work well every week. I think that can continue despite the wide draw.

Race 9: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: GRASSROOTS STARTERS FOR NW $16,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: PROSPECT STARTERS.

(6) SPEEDY MICHAEL was first over on debut and trotted a nice mile. I think he gets the best of this field tonight. (5) ERINWOOD COSMO is continuing to progress and just missed as the favorite last week. Likely an early pace presence who should be in the mix late. (7) R NORTHERN STAR hasn’t been able to string together flat efforts but appears to have some ability if he can put it all together.

Race 10: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(4) ODDS ON HOAXSTER looks like a promising colt from Indiana. We’ll see what he has to offer on debut. (1) C SCRIPT drew away from his competition after moving to the front. He looks like the colt to beat on paper. (3) CHEDDARLUCKNXTTIME was a good second behind C Script and is likely to keep progressing for top connections.

Race 11: F&M, NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $15,500 LAST 8 STARTS (W/O $20,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E) AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: NW $35,000 IN 2026 (MIN 15 STARTS).

(6) TAMARA HANOVER should find more success grinding against this group who is a bit of a question mark right now. (1) MADAM X is second off the claim and could try to go down the road or make a quarter move. (3) SETTN A PRECEDENT nearly pulled off a gigantic upset last week when positioned near the front. She has been successful with that tactic lately.
