Top Pick Stats: 11/45 (-$35.30) Best Bets: 2/3 (+$2.30); Spot Plays: 0/4 (-$8.00) Best Bet: SAULSBROOK OLYMPIA (Race 7) Spot Play: GRIT N GRACE (Race 9) Early Pick 5: 2,4,6,7,8,9/6/4,7/5,7/5   $4.80 Late Pick 5: 1,2/4/1,3/6/1,6   $1.60 Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $32,500 (OS $51,500) LIFETIME. (6) ROCKS SHADOW qualified well twice to prep for her first action at four. Many of these are mid-pack/closer types, but she could get the early jump on them if ready to roll off the bench. (4) DIRTY DIANA was interfered with in her latest and jumped it off. She has the speed to beat these, but could be left with just a little too much to do if conservatively handled again. (7) DARLENES ANGEL kicked huge in the stretch and passed a fair number of horses. She can work out a trip and hit the board. (2) KANDY KISS has gotten a check in five of her last six. She can sit close and pick up another minor share.  [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. AE: NW $2,500 IN 2025-2025. (6) THE WRITER was contested throughout much of the mile, but put forth a strong effort to finish third. He should only continue to improve with more starts under his belt. (4) BACKUP PLAN had an adventurous career debut through no fault of his own. He was already being angled to the outside before he made his break, so McNair knew something had gone awry. He should stack up as a major player tonight. (5) ALL TIME ROCK has shown versatility in three starts this season, which can be difficult to find at times with these types. He can find any trip and hit the board. (1) NOVA BLU is a grinder who has found decent success as of late. He can find his way to a minor share tonight. Race 3: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES NW $30,000 IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $12,000 OR LESS IN LAST START. LEG 2. AE: LEG 1 STARTERS. (7) KIERA SEELSTER was aggressively handled in her latest and battled all the way to earn the win. She is improving with every start and is a major repeat possibility. (4) STYLE FOR A MILE crushes these when she is at her best, but she has just one win this season, and is a favorite that, although I respect, could get picked off. (1) JOB HUNTER used a second over trip to score in her latest and comes right back to try leg two of this series. She has been sharp since the claim into the Tackoor barn and is another logical threat if the trip sets up right for her. (3) ONE LAST BET has hit the board in 10 of 19 starts this year, but may need to find more late in the mile if she sits close again. She can pick up a share.  Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,500 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: N/A $1,700 P/S IN 2024-25. (7) LADY GET LUCKY is one of a few horses that could be tricky to read given the classes they move from, but she gets Doug McNair back in the bike who could easily give her a speed try. She’s done well in recent starts when up close. (5) ROCKNROLL ANNIE is another that tends to sit close but doesn’t get quite the job done. I can see her as another early pace presence and sitting an inside trip to a strong finish. (4) GOT SEXY SCARS is a major wild card in this field. She gets a drop, and no doubt has the back class to be a contender, but I’ll look elsewhere, at least on top. (3) MISS DUTTON always brings strong late pace in her races and can use it to pick up a share here. Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 2. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($675 USD). (5) ROXIE HART was an off the pace winner on a track that was quite biased towards front runners. That came off the heels of a second place finish at the Gold level, where she’ll take another crack tonight. She is in very good form right now and is one who can repeat. (2) FOXY AMEE cruised to a career best in her latest and gets a deserving shot at the Gold types. Look for her to be put in the mix early. (10) SPRITE SEELSTER was an upset winner in her latest at this level, but that was four weeks ago now. Borth may not have a choice but to put her in play, but it will be tough from the far outside. (6) EXQUISITE TASTE is versatile and can get into the mix with any trip. It’s a deep race, but she can hit the bottom of the ticket here. Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, NW $15,000 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: NW $51,500 IN 2025 (MIN 8 STARTS). (1) SHES GOT IT ALL looked like herself again with an extremely strong drop and pop performance. She should be brimming with confidence heading into tonight and can repeat. (2) TELLS ON A ROLL got a tough trip on NA Cup night, but now gets major post relief. I would expect her to be up close and a major threat. (3) SORCHA SEELSTER could be sitting on a big effort if the race sets up right for her. Her late kick makes her dangerous, and a must use on exotics. (4) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL should be closer than she was last week and can close for a share. Race 7: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES NW $30,000 IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $12,000 OR LESS IN LAST START. LEG 2. AE: LEG 1 STARTERS. (4) SAULSBROOK OLYMPIA was moving extremely well on the end of her latest mile. A similar kick can see her blow by her rivals. Big fan of hers tonight. (3) BETTERNOTMACHME found a spot at Grand River that she seemed to like, though her races before that weren’t bad. She is another that has speed on both ends of her miles and can be a major threat. (7) BLUEMEA KISS got a confidence boosting win in her latest, and now gets leading driver James Macdonald. We’ve seen this mare have success here in the past, and she could be rounding into form at the right time. (8) CHARMBO STORMY sat the pocket in a wicked fast race at Grand River and capitalized. She can pick up a share on her return to the Mohawk oval. Race 8: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: NW $80,000 LIFETIME. (1) LANESIDE INCONTROL produced a career best win in her latest from post nine. It was an extremely impressive effort. She deserves a shot at this level and can make it three straight wins. (3) COZ IM SPECIAL got a good setup in her latest and just missed. If she can sustain her move, she can get a major piece. (6) SANTAFES APPETITE has done good things at The Meadowlands over the last couple years, and now moves into the Cullen barn who has a knack for improving shippers. She can hit the board tonight. (7) ABSOLUTION has big late kick but will likely be closing from last. She can earn a minor share. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: FILLIES & MARES PREFERRED. (6) GRIT N GRACE has been pacing some extremely strong miles, and gave Sylvia Hanover all she could handle in her latest. I think she’ll take some strong support. If she is put in play again tonight, she has a major chance. (5) CAVIAR N CRACKERS has become the new queen of this Preferred level, but her last race was almost four weeks ago now. She is a major player, but could be just half a step short. (2) ODDS ON PLATINUM had a tough trip in the Roses Are Red Final. She can sit much closer tonight and pick up a good piece. (4) ANGOSTURA HANOVER got a cheap middle half and couldn’t lose after that in her latest. She takes another crack at the top level, but I’ll put her underneath tonight. Race 10: POP UP SERIES FINAL: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $60,000 (OS $75,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (1) VIS A VIS BLUECHIP made her first over move work to great success in her latest, and she’ll look to repeat in tonight’s Pop Up final. There’s enough early speed in this group to where I think she can get another setup. (6) LIL SEBASTIAN looks for the sweep in this series and draws the perfect post to do so. He looms as a threat to take this field all the way. (4) JIMMY WHISPERS has hit the board in 14 of 20 starts this season, despite just one win. He cannot be left out of your exotics. (3) ABOVEMYPAYGRADE tends to work from mid pack, and could get a good trip along with the #1 if the pace sets up for him. I’ll use him underneath tonight. (5) NO FOOL MACKINLEY has picked up minor shares in his two starts in this series. He can do so again tonight and close out the Hi-5.
