Interesting race with several returnees and the guessing game being intent for many of these sophomores. I'll side with (5) ESPLOSIONE, who attracts the leading driver and looks ready to fire. (2) BLUE BAYOU DEO raced well against a hot mare that has won several starts in a row. This filly should be a player in this spot. (4) MONEYWORTH, last year's Grassroots champ, had two so-so qualifiers which might explain the addition of Lasix for this start. Her best puts her right there vs. these. (7) SEA CAN will likely close from the back in this spot and land a small share in her 2022 debut.

Race 2: F&M 5YO and Younger NW4 or $50,000 LT AE: 4YO to be claimed for $40,000

(9) GOT SEXY SCARS was game in defeat despite parking a long way first up and her drawing widest should ensure a good price tonight. I'll side with her to turn the tables on (1) IN THE MOOD who has come back razor-sharp and shoots for a threepeat here. (2) FADE OUT was a good earner at two and she took a fast mark. She is capable and she could do in this sophomore debut if she gets put into the race. (5) EMMY LOU HAYES should be a speed presence again and stick around for a share.

Race 3: Horses that have started for a purse of $8,000 or less in 1 of L4

(2) HIGH GEAR NO FEAR raced much better last week but the winner was too good. A repeat of that effort would give him a big shot vs. these; top call. (1) AWORLDY GOODTIMES was used up early in that race making front from the 10-hole. He can get an improved trip and a better result tonight. (3) I GOT THE LOOKS brings solid form in from Flamboro and he has been part of the Exacta in 21 of his last 53 starts. He isn't impossible in this spot. (10) OVERSERVED is probably one of the best ones in here, but he is likely going to be far back early again and come on late for a slice; using underneath.

Race 4: F&M NW $18,000 L5 or NW $29,000 L10 AE: NW8 LT - Pick 4

(7) KICKUPYAHEELS N was probably going to pace a 25-flat kicker and win if she didn't break at the tote board in the land last week. That miscue appeared to be a speed break and she can make amends here. (8) SILVER LABEL's only two losses in a stellar campaign at two were to her slightly faster stablemate who was an absolute killer. She is obviously fast enough to win this race but I’m not willing to take a short price in a spot where she doesn’t need to win. (6) CUSTARD LITE was a victim of pace last week and she couldn't chase down a loose leader. She should be in the exotics mix tonight. (3) LYONS TILT HANOVER should be in the exotics mix on the class drop here.

Race 5: F&M Who have started for a purse of $12,000 or less in 1 of L4 or NW1 L10 AE: OPT CLM $25,000

(5) BLACK BETTY drops and Macdonald sticks with her. She should go much better vs. these; top call. (9) RANDOMIROGEO is in sharp form and she should bring a good price from the outside and with Macdonald opting off for the choice; using. (7) GOODNIGHT IRENE comes off two solid efforts vs. similar and she should be in the exotics mix again racing from close range. (4) BLUEWATER BEACH is sharp but these are tougher. I'll use her on the bottom of the exotics.

Race 6: CLM HDCP $12,000 to $18,000 - Pick 5

(3) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ was sent hard last week because of the claim but racing on the engine isn't his best trip. Racing for Moreau off that claim he can rebound and his price will be better here; slight nod. (7) JIM STRIKESITRICH should improve sharply dropping back into a claimer and he should be a big speed threat here; using. (4) BETTOR NOTBITTER A was 2nd in a very fast mile for the class and he should contend again making his second start off the Fritz claim. (1) THE OPTIMIST was no secret last week racing off the claim but these are much tougher and I'll play to beat him tonight.

Race 7: F&M That have started for a purse of $9,000 or less in 1 of L4 or NW2 in 2021-22 AE: OPT CLM $15,000

(2) YNOTHOS was a victim of pace and trip last week. I think McNair blasts for position this time and I'll give her the nod looking for some multi-race value. (7) NAUGHTY LADY B gets major class relief and a better post here and Sorrie should put her into play. She should wake up in this spot. (1) CRANBERRY BRIE, 3rd to the choice last time, adds Lasix and is worth a look for Pick 4 and Pick 5 tickets. (3) CENTURY GEORGIA had an eventful trip last time. Her race two back is a better indication of what she is capable of and she is worth a look racing off the claim.

Race 8: Horses that have started for a purse of $15,000 or less in 1 of L4 - Pick 4

(5) BUCKYS ANGEL made two moves last week but the winner was just too strong. She should get another good trip racing near the front; slight nod. (10) ESQUIRE trotted a sub-28 second 1/4 to make front and he still held on well, considering. He is worth using at a price making a quick return. (7) VILLEFRANCHE AS got a confidence-building win vs. easier and she is in with a shot vs. these; using. (1) TREASURED TEE should take another slice racing near the front.

Race 9: F&M PREFERRED HDCP

(9) SO MUCH MORE gets back in with mares and she hasn't been beaten in a mares restricted race in 2022; enough said. (4) SNOW SHARK has been on fire recently and I could see her slaying the queen if there is some early battling and a solid pace; using. (7) DABARNDAWGSWATCHIN is right there every week and she should be part of the exotics again. (8) SHES NUN BETTOR N comes off a gritty win and she is another that should be in the mix here.

Race 10: F&M NW $9,000 L5 or $23,500 L8 or NW6 LT AE: OPT CLM $35,000

(10) TRAFALGAR is in easier here and I can see McNair blasting with her and going right down the road. (3) SHES GOT IT ALL was a victim of trip and pace last week and she was flying late. She should be right there vs. these; using. (6) IMSHORTANDSWEET N looks like a good fit here making her first start for new connections but she has missed close to a month; your call. (8) KICKIN COWGIRL is sharp and she can close for a small share vs. these.

Race 11: Claiming $18,000 for NW $80,000 LT

A change in tactics didn't work for (6) PRIVATE SCOTT last week as he didn't get a check. Starting from the best post I expect him to be blasting for position this time and he gets the nod. (9) HIGH FLYING JAMIE is right there every week and he figures to be the one to catch again; using. (7) LETSFLYTOGETHER N drops in for a tag and gets a notable driver switch. He could wake up in a big way here; using. (1) BELIEVE IN BRIAN should close for another small share in this spot. (2) ROCKINMYDREAM will likely land in the bottom of the High-5 off an inside following trip.
