Top Pick Stats: 244/790 (-$340.80) Best Bets: 29/72 (-$26.80); Spot Plays: 18/74 (-$44.90) Best Bet: KISSEDBYASTRANGER (Race 3) Spot Play: JAY (Race 5) Early Pick-5: 4,6,7/4,5/8/2,6,10/1   $3.60 Late Pick-5: 4,5/1,5/1,10/3,8/3,8   $6.40 Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: N/A $960 P/S IN 2025-26. AE: OPT. CLM. $12,500. (4) TAMARA HANOVER gets away from a top-heavy Pop Up Series and finds her way into a wide-open group. I thought she was improving before last week’s trip around the track. Using gate speed could do her some good. (7) WESTERN WISH clearly isn’t in the best form right now, but there’s nowhere to go but up. Literally, because this is the bottom level. Her back class will shine through at some point, and it could be tonight. (6) CHELSIS CHOICE is a grinder type who deserves forgiveness after last week’s parking ticket. These races tend to produce cheap speed which could favor her. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: FILLIES & MARES OPEN. (4) ABSOLUTION has been sitting on a win at the top level for a while now. Her sustained outside moves have been extremely impressive, considering she is usually chasing an odds-on favorite. (5) LETS N JOY N has stamped herself as the queen of this group. They definitely weren’t catching her last week after she got a soft middle half. She seems like a mare that will pop off a sub-1:50 mile in the coming weeks. (2) KISS N was better in her second local start, and is likely to get another piece if she can continue to step forward. Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (8) KISSEDBYASTRANGER makes her first foray into maiden competition after a loaded freshman campaign where she was only in stakes. Her second qualifier was sharp; I think she paces these off their feet. (1) BREEZY BELLE comes out of a race that is tough to read given how fast the leaders went, but she was never really asked when saving all the ground. She gets a big post switch and a group that shouldn’t go as quick. (4) LYONS ON THE BEACH posted a nice effort in her seasonal debut and is likely to build on it when returning to the big track. I would look for her to be in the mix for a piece. Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME. (6) EASY STATION found her best stride in mid-stretch and drew away after a first over move. It was a career best win in her seasonal debut. Hard to ignore an effort like that and a draw like this. (10) COULD BE QUEEN also posted a career best win in her seasonal debut, but that was three weeks ago, and now she has to maneuver the high draw. J-Mac’s decision looms large. (2) SAULSBROOK ROLO was at her best last week, and there might be more in her bag given her consistent improvement. She’ll have to settle for third, at least for me, in a competitive event. Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $60,000 (OS $82,000) LIFETIME. (1) JAY was never able to be fully activated after sitting a good trip. The room never materialized, but she still paced a fine mile in her return. The rail potentially limits how quickly she can get away, but an outside trip could limit traffic trouble. (7) LAVENDER SEELSTER faced some better fillies last week, and certainly was not aided by a pressured opening quarter. This group is no picnic, but a similar mile should have her right there. (10) BETTERDOUBLEDOWN pulled off the upset last week but will have to navigate the high draw tonight. Still, she is consistently improving and shouldn’t be overlooked. Race 6: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (5) RYDER ROSS went a strong mile in his first start back, and responded nearly immediately after being challenged. He was ultimately picked off in the end, but receives post relief that boosts him over the top. (4) ROUGH DEAL remains an unknown quantity despite an extremely easy win in his career debut. We just don’t know how much he has in the tank, but his dam made a sharp jump from two to three, and he could do the same. (10) AMICABLE couldn’t quite reach when bet down to favoritism, but flashed his late kick once again. He should be once again picking off rivals in the late stages. Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. (1) LA MIKI N gets a second try from me after an even fifth place finish against tougher competition. She finds a few others that are looking for a wake up, but I’ll give her the nod. (5) CC ROCKIN ROSIE has had the hardest time getting on a regular rotation, and I think it cost her last week after she was pressured to the opening quarter. She didn’t have much of a response when asked, but I can see her rebounding on the drop in class. (4) CANT SEE ME is capable of much more when at her best. I would expect her to be better tonight after two races under her belt. She can get a piece. Race 8: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW $15,000 (ON SIRED $20,000) LIFETIME. (1) MY GIRL FRIDAY went unbeaten in four starts at two, and hasn’t missed a beat when returning to action, posting back-to-back sharp qualifiers that appear to have her ready to roll. (10) PLAY DATE eventually wore down the leaders after working her way into contention. The field started to come back to her, so she took advantage on the outside. It’s a tougher task from the far outside, however. (9) MAKEMBLUSH HANOVER hasn’t been seen in over three weeks since losing the sprint to the aforementioned Could Be Queen. I’m not sure how aggressively she will be handled after the time off, but her kick makes her a factor underneath regardless. Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, NW $12,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $26,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: NW $160,000 LIFETIME. (8) CAVIAR N CRACKERS stormed from the back, as she often has been lately, and only ended up two lengths behind at the wire. I’ll look for this to be her week against a group that hasn’t been stringing together wins. (3) DIRTY DIANA had to settle for second after Sugar Pie Honey got the jump on her. Diana has been much better in her last two efforts and has the kick to make herself a factor in this tougher class. (5) CENTURY JAMILA was a strong second in her latest after another speed try. She has responded well after appearing to need a wake up a few starts ago. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS (W/O $15,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E) AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. (3) KELLINA DIAMOND decided her fate after 10 strides, but was running up on horses in the stretch and clearly had some pace. I’ll try her again at a likely price. (8) CARRERA SUNSET N caught my eye in the final eighth when posting a strong rally. That kick should allow her to be in the mix, assuming she doesn’t take back to last. (4) MADAM X is logical after a win in her latest, but it’s not like she paced away from those rivals. I think she could end up as a susceptible favorite in this spot. Race 11: POP UP SERIES FINAL: FILLIES & MARES, STARTERS FOR PURSE OF $12,500 OR LESS IN 2026 (W/O $50,000 IN 2026 N/E). (6) BLINDED BY DELIGHT draws very well after two sharp wins in this series. She is the mare to beat. (3) BETTERNOTMACHME was better last week, and is a mare that I’ve been waiting on for a couple of weeks now. She could put it all together with an improved draw and add significant value to exotics. (7) TWIN B EMPRESS also looks for a sweep of this series, and looks to extend her overall win streak to four. She could easily do so given her versatility.
