(4) CHARLIES WISH is a 1/2 to a five-time winner and he qualified well enough to suggest he can contend at first asking. I’ll take a stab with him in a wide-open first leg of the early Pick 5. (9) JMR SPEAK AWAY comes in off one of his best efforts and he will likely be the one to catch here; using. (3) BROOKDALE J MAC’s slow start doomed him last time. He will contend if he leaves quicker here, and he is another in with a chance. (8) BRINGITONHOMETOME probably needed that first start back and he can improve enough to take a share.

Race 2: F&M winners of 2 but not more than 5 or $48,000 LT AE: N/A $620 P/S L10

(3) ETHEL can be tricky because her typical style requires some racing luck, but she was airborne at the wire last time and she can win here if she is in striking range at the 1/8th pole. (2) LADY GET LUCKY finished behind the choice but that was her first start back and she will likely be better tonight. She is the other one that I’ll use in the early Pick 5. (1) BLUEMEA KISS will likely get put in a good spot leaving the gate and take a following trip leading to a share. (4) ONLYTHEGOODDIYOUNG will pass some of these late. She is a good one to use on the bottom of the Tri or Super.

Race 3: F&M PREFERRED

(2) TELLS ON A ROLL gave Taurasi a race and he has been unbeatable for several weeks. She stands out here. (1) SO MUCH MORE dropped and won as she was supposed to, and she is sharp now. She is never a surprise when she wins at this level. (4) WESTERN WISH is in the mix every week. She should take another share here. (3) MS QUICK SANE got hung the mile and was still only beaten two lengths. She can land in the bottom of the exotics here.

Race 4: NW $5,950 L5 AE: OPT CLM $25,000 or NW $7,850 in 2024 - Pick 4

(7) MISTER MAGIC is back at the level where he performs best, and he should offer a decent price starting from an outside post. He can rally past these if the pace is honest; top call. (6) GRATEFUL also drops and he is another that will probably get put into play leaving the gate. He should be a threat racing from close range. (2) KEVIN ANTHONY is worth a look getting Henry in the bike. He is capable at this level. (3) VILLEFRANCHE AS should close for another small share in this spot.

Race 5: NW1 or $7,500 LT

(2) HOUT BAY got hammered down to 3 to 5 and delivered with a solid first-over winning mile. He will be tough to beat if he repeats that effort; call to repeat. (4) MAX PATRICK had a good rookie campaign and he finished well in his qualifier on 4/1. His best puts him right there. (6) SOLID NINE HANOVER was better in his second start back and he is worth a price look for the exotics here. (7) SAULSBROOK TSUNAMI’s decent late kick should get him a small slice here.

Race 6: F&M NW $9,750 L5 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 - Pick 5

(9) ALABAMA HANNAH chased So Much More home last week in a solid effort at 107 to 1. There are no So Much Mores in here and this mare has a big shot to lead these all the way. (3) JM BETONSIX won last time she raced this low, and she was only 1/5th of a second off her lifetime mark in that front end score. She is the one to fear. (6) IRIS SEELSTER raced well for the second time in a row, and she should be in the exotics mix again racing from close range. (7) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL gets Ratchford here with Hudon out injured. She tries hard every week, and she can land in the exotics again.

Race 7: NW $20,000 in 2023/24 or N/A $1,255 P/S in 2023/24 AE: Starters for a purse of $9K or less last start - Pick 4

Tough race here. I’m going to take a price shot with (9) ESQUIRE who could be very tough if Roy sends him from the widest post. (2) SPICY RED HEAD shaded the choice on 3/1 and she fits well here. She will probably be the one to fend off late. (6) TEXACO MAN comes off a good first up win at Flamboro and he has had success at this track in the past; price look. (3) MASTER GRAND got room in the lane and had a clear shot last week, but he could do no better than 4th. I’ll use him underneath.

Race 8: F&M 4YO and younger NW $15,000 LT

(4) MIKKI SIXX made an impressive late move racing in the snow to stay undefeated and this is another field that she should beat to score the threepeat. (8) CATCH MY BREATH was out of position and she paid the price as it was tough to close from where she was sitting. I think she gets more aggressive here and she can be an Exacta factor. (7) GOGETTERMISSCHEDDR was only two lengths behind the choice last time and she should be in the exotics mix again here racing from close range. (6) ALLSTAR FINEST flew late but the pace was slowing noticeably. I see her as a fringe player here.

Race 9: NW $20,000 in 2023/24 or N/A $1,255 P/S in 2023/24 AE: Starters for a purse of $9K or less last start

This looks like a good spot for (9) TYMAL TAROT who gets Borth with Hudon out. I expect an aggressive steer vs. these. (2) MEMO improved his form racing at Flamboro and he was facing better last time he raced at Mohawk Park. He should be a threat here. (7) NO ANGEL LIKE ME comes in off two decent closing efforts vs. similar and she is another in with a chance in a wide-open race. (3) AMERICAN BLIZZ K can close for a small share vs. these.

Race 10: F&M NW $4,700 L5 AE: OPT CLM $25,000

(10) THE TURNING POINT gets J Mac back tonight and she will likely get an aggressive steer this time; top call despite the wide draw. (1) SPLASH OF PINK is in easier here and she should get a solid pace to chase. She will probably be the one to fend off late. (9) TWIN B TIPSTER is one of the best mares in here but she keeps drawing wide posts. She will leave one of these times to get better position. Will it be tonight? Your guess is as good as mine. (7) BETTER BE DONNA was better last time but racing first up isn’t her best trip. She is another that could blast here; using. (8) TAKEYOURBREATHAWAY should pass a few of these late and take a share.
