Top Pick Stats: 143/496 (-$266.90) Best Bets: 19/45 (-$12.50); Spot Plays: 14/47 (-$15.70) Best Bet: TELLS ON A ROLL (Race 9) Spot Play: SORCHA SEELSTER (Race 11) Early Pick-5: 6,8,10/2/2,8,9/7/2,5   $3.60 Late Pick-5: 2,5,6/7/2,6,9/1/3,4,7   $5.40 Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (6) HP DOROTHEE has shown good speed in the morning and looms large for top connections. I expect her to take a lot of support on debut. (8) COLD CREEK COTIJA showed her early speed was no fluke, but she was caught up in a ridiculously fast opening half. I think she deserves another shot this week. (10) ON FLEEK is one of a few horses that is difficult to read on the line alone. She comes out of that same race where Seven Summers Ago went so fast and left everyone else to stagger home. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $50,000 (OS $80,000) LIFETIME. (2) BRITTAS BEST BET took a clear step forward in her second start back and was a strong second when tracking the big favorite. She has returned very well. (3) HP JOSEPHINE produced a career-best win last week and has more than enough gate speed to get herself into play. The pace shouldn’t be too quick with a shorter field. (5) TORNADO RAIN has produced decent kick in her two starts at the level and has a little gate speed in her back lines that could give her a stalking trip. Race 3: F&M, NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $6,500 LAST 8 STARTS. (W/O $10,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: NW $100 IN 2026 (MIN 3 STARTS). (8) CHEESE PARTY returns to the level where Roy got plenty out of her two starts ago. A sustained middle move seems likely from the wide draw, and can see her in contention. (2) P L RINCHENIA got a good trip last week and has the strong combo of gate speed and a post edge. She has proven to fit at this level. (9) KIERA SEELSTER is in good form right now but might take more money than she should off the claim. A couple potential leavers to her inside could mess with her trip. Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $65,000) LIFETIME. (7) EUROBANK HANOVER successfully returned to the races with a win that instilled some confidence into his backers. McClure knew what he had and kept him to task late. Major repeat threat. (9) MR WALNER FASHION was stakes tested at three, and flashed sharp speed in limited outings. His two morning preps signal that he should return well, but I question the trip tactics from the outside. (10) VALIDUS is usually in the mix when she minds her manners. She has the gate speed to overcome the wide draw. Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $46,250) LIFETIME. (5) ESMERALDA DU LAC has been consistently put in positions to succeed, which is difficult to say about many mid-pack types here. Look for her to be right in the mix again. (2) PLAYSOMETHINGSWEET returned with a nice win after sitting a stalking trip. Hard to ignore her this week with an inside draw. (6) ANGELS AMOUNG US was mired at the back when in the same race as Playsomethingsweet and was unable to ever make any real impact. The post switch should give her more trip options. Race 6: POP UP SERIES: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,000 OR LESS IN 2026 (W/O $75,000 IN 2025-26 N/E). AE: OPT. CLM. $12,500. LEG 1. (6) GOOBER SMACK has gotten losing trips in his last two efforts, but draws away from the rail this week and has more options. Gate speed is his friend in this race. (2) BLESS ME FATHER is a horse that clearly has the ability to get the job done, and he gets away from the likes of Johnny Buckshot. J-Mac sticks and should have him right there. (5) ARCHIMEDES was better last week when taking some air on the outside. He is a logical underneath use most weeks. Race 7: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (7) JOHNNY ANGEL rocketed home in his lone morning prep and looms large for top connections. He looks ready to go right away. (1) P L TACO has put forth quality efforts in all four of his races, and the gate speed dimension is slowly but surely being added. If he can get away in decent order from the rail, I expect another good finish. (8) DEAD MANS CHAIN nearly pulled off the upset last week when racing from well off the pace. He is continuing to improve with each start. Race 8: POP UP SERIES: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,000 OR LESS IN 2026 (W/O $75,000 IN 2025-26 N/E). AE: OPT. CLM. $12,500. LEG 1. (6) ETERNALLY HANOVER can be a tricky horse to read from week to week, but his form in the last Pop-Up Series hints that he should be good to go tonight. Plante gives him the nod and should have plenty of trip options. (2) DOUBLE DIPPIN has been all over the place lately, but finds a group that he should be competitive against. The gate speed he showed back at Flamboro makes him an interesting use. (9) VICTOR INVICTUS got his kind of trip last week and pulled off a successful drop and pop. J-Mac might not be as aggressive from the high draw, but at least floating out should give him a chance at a piece. Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $19,500 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: NW 4 RACES OR $65,000 LIFETIME. (1) TELLS ON A ROLL majorly hinted at a return to form two starts ago, but was mired towards the back in last week’s Open and couldn’t get a check. I think she looms large on the drop back down. (5) TH SUMMER LOVIN was part of a ludicrous race last week. CC Rockin Rosie got loose on the lead and produced one of the fastest three quarters I’ve seen in the month of March. That rival obviously came back to the field, and McNair was right there with TH, but Glenboro went by on the outside. I can see her getting another good trip with this post. (4) PIZZAZZ HANOVER gets a fair shot at this upper level after a pair of sharp wins. She will need to class up to these, but she will provide value if she gets on the ticket. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: NW $2,600 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: N/A $1,440 P/S IN 2025-26. (4) STEAMER spoiled any kind of chance he had when making a miscue at the top of the stretch. He was between horses and took a shuffle down the backstretch. I wouldn’t overlook him tonight despite that. (7) THE BEAR A CUDA takes a significant drop in class, and has a good enough middle move to him which should give him plenty of trip options. (3) WHITE TIGER is out of form right now but gets a positive post switch. He showed more gate speed last week; I’ll use him underneath. Race 11: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: NW $40,000 IN 2025-26. AE: 4 YO N/A $1,540 P/S L8. (3) SORCHA SEELSTER was my top pick last week after looking like she had more to offer on March 20. Her price is gone, but I have to go back to her on the drop in class. Big chance in the finale. (4) VERITY BLUE CHIP will have something to say about that after a much better morning prep last week. She had a good four-year-old season and should get away in decent order. (5) MADAM X got back to herself last week when returning to the 30K claiming class. For my sake, I hope more money siphons towards her instead of the #3. An extremely logical contender.
