(8) SUNTAN CITY raced decently vs. two McIntosh pupils in her sophomore debut. That’s a race she can build from, and she gets top billing in the opener. (6) GOGETTERMISSCHEDDR paced a 55-flat back 1/2 when 2nd to a very impressive debutant that simply crushed the field. She is in with a decent chance here. (10) PORCH PIRATE exits the same race as the top two choices, and she paced a 27-flat kicker. She is another possibility for the early Pick 5 in this second start of 2024. (5) PERFECT SET was okay in her sophomore debut and she can take a share here.

Race 2: FILLIES and MARES PREFERRED Posts 1-5 drawn, posts 6-7 drawn

(6) TELLS ON A ROLL was on a big roll in February, but there hasn’t been a Fillies and Mares Preferred race carded since 2/9. Assuming she will be sharp enough tonight, she should get the job done. (1) HUNTRESS will offer a big price here off her most recent line and I could see her sitting in the pocket and coming on late to blow up the tote board if the choice is a bit short; using. (7) SO MUCH MORE races best on a 7-day rotation and she is the other mare in here that has been off since 2/9. I’m inclined to use her underneath this time. (3) WILDCAT STAR is as sharp as she can be and she can come on late to take a slice here.

Race 3: F&M 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT

(5) TAMWORTH BOY debuts for trainer Brethour who blew up the board with a firster on 2/8. This colt is a 1/2 to Better Sunset, who took a mark of 1:52 4/5 in his sixth start. I’ll take a price swing with him here. (7) GIGITYGIGITYGIGTY qualified fast enough to suggest that he will be a major factor here in his sophomore debut; using. (2) BROOKDALE J MAC fired a 27 2/5 kicker in his preparatory qualifier for this sophomore debut and he gets his namesake in the bike. He is another contender in a good betting race. (10) DANDYS PANDEMIC took some money at the windows and he paced a nice back 1/2 in his 2024 debut and he should offer a good price starting from the widest post and he is yet another in with a shot.

Race 4: NW $20,000 in 2023/24 or not averaging $1,100 per start in 2023/24 (Min. 10 starts) - Pick 4

(1) CLASSIC MAGIC dropped and improved racing first-over and he faces easier again tonight; top call. (9) ROYAL LEAF raced better as expected last week when he moved back into this class. He should be a threat here. (7) TYMAL TAROT was a distant 2nd to Royal Leaf at this level two starts back. He should be in the exotics mix tonight. (4) KATKIN MORGAN will likely sit another good trip and stick around for a share.

Race 5: F&M winners of 4 but not more than 6 or $80,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO CLM $60,000

(8) MIST AMBER has ramped up her late speed in each of her three starts this year and I’ll give her the call to upset here. (5) MOMENTARY CONTROL was a very good sophomore, finishing 2nd in the Gold Superfinal. The late speed she has shown in her last two qualifiers indicates that she is ready for this four-year-old debut; using. (2) DUCHENNE tried to advance first up on the 1 to 2 favorite after that rival stole a cheap second 1/4 and that was mission impossible. She is capable here and she will likely get a better trip this time. (4) LADYTERRA closed some ground while lacking room in the lane last week. She is an upset possibility in this second start back.

Race 6: F&M 5YO and younger NW2 or $30,000 LT - Pick 5

This is a good betting race with some sharp and talented fillies knocking heads. I’ll side with (9) ALWAYS A CATCH, who stepped up to this level and knocked three seconds off her lifetime mark last week in a strong performance. (10) MARGOTSGOTTHECARGO puts her unbeaten record on the line and she is an obvious threat, but they all get beat and the 10-hole could be the equalizer here. (7) CATCH MY BREATH is improving rapidly for Hall of Fame trainer McIntosh and she is in with a shot here. (5) MONSOON was no match for the choice after cutting the mile last week. I’ll use her underneath tonight.

Race 7: F&M that have started for a purse of $9,000 or less in 1 of L4 - Pick 4

The two big class droppers in here (7) BETTER BE DONNA N and (8) TWIN B TIPSTER will likely battle for the win. The nod goes to the former, who typically has more tactical speed. (6) DARKRSHADEOFPALE N adds Lasix which explains her last chart line. She is capable of closing for a share at this level. (1) MCVERA will likely work out a trip racing close to the front and stick around for a slice.

Race 8: F&M NW $15,000 L5 or $30,000 L10 or NW $105,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $70,000 or NW1 in 2024 (Min. 5 starts)

(5) MYSTIFYING was ready to rock in her seasonal debut last week and she easily paced away from the favorite who she provided perfect cover for. I’ll call her to repeat here despite the class rise. (2) SHES GOT IT ALL is the one to fear getting class and post relief tonight. She is hard to leave off late multi-race tickets. (8) SETTN A PRECEDENT drops and gets J Mac back, but I prefer to use her underneath starting from the widest post. (3) PARISIAN BLUE CHIP is the other dropper in here and she should be part of the exotics.

Race 9: NW $2,000 L3

(3) SOUTHWIND DOMINO drops after qualifying with trotting hopples on and I’ll give him a slight nod expecting a square price. (9) VILLEFRANCHE AS jogged last time he raced this low, and he is an obvious main contender in this spot. (7) KEVIN ANTHONY took lots of action but he never really got in contention. I think Cullen puts him into play here on the class drop; using. (5) COOL CLIFFORD will likely show speed here and stay for a small share.

Race 10: F&M NW $4,250 L5 or $10,250 L10 AE: OPT CLM $25,000 or N/A $1,245 P/S in 2023/24

(9) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL got a horrendous trip last week as the big favorite and she was still only beaten a length. I’ll stick with her tonight expecting a much better price. (8) GOLDIES ROCKIN just took a new lifetime best and she is sharp and dangerous here. (2) FLIGHT CREW N was involved in a race that featured a lot of action and a live flow now she gets to drop because she missed a check. She is another possibility for late multi-race tickets. (1) E L CITADEL is another dropper that should improve but I prefer to use her underneath. (5) BLUEMEA KISS tries hard every week and she can sneak into the bottom of the exotics at a price.
