It was extremely hard to see last Friday, but it appeared that (2) MISTER MAGIC had some trot, but limited room between horses. He has just one win so far this year, but has been right in the mix. (7) BUCK DANCER has been on an every other pattern, but besides his effort on January 30, the veteran has been good this year. After a week off, he should be ready to slot right back in. (3) SPARKS FLY comes out of the same race as Mister Magic, but had to settle for a small check after a speed try. His class is well documented, but his current form is on the wrong end.

Race 2: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
I’m not sure how they even charted some of these races last week. (5) LIZA MAE has been patiently handled in all three career starts, but looks to be getting a bit tighter with each. I’ll give her the nod tonight. (1) WINDSUN CHELSEA shouldn’t be dismissed after last week’s effort. She was pace compromised from the jump, and showed a much better mile the week before. (2) SIPSMITH was hard to find through the fog in last week’s morning prep (and so was the whole field), but her first qualifier showed her to be a smooth-gaited filly who has some ability.
Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: NW 10 RACES LIFETIME. AE: NW $38,000 IN 2025-2026.
I wouldn’t get majorly wrapped up in the final quarter from (6) LADY CAFE AU LAIT, but it was a better effort in her second start back. She knows how to get around the Mohawk oval. (1) BLINDED BY DELIGHT was a good third last week after leaving out and touching down on the lead. She always puts a good effort in at this level. (7) KELLINA DIAMOND just completed a Pop-Up Final win with an impressive down the road score. This will be a step up in class, but she has looked good in all five starts this year.
Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: N/A $1,185 P/S IN 2026. AE: OS 4 YO NW $8,000 IN 2026.
(6) GLENBORO was able to earn a win when last seen at this level. She is a polarizing mare because of her lack of wins, but she has the gate speed to once again get her into a good spot. (7) SHOOT THE WHISKEY loses the services of Travis Cullen, but is another mare who tends to thrive when on or near the lead. Cullen trainees could go 1-2. (9) MADAM X spoiled her second try at this level with an early miscue, but recovered decently. Her win two starts ago was very good, but she has to navigate the high draw.
Race 5: POP UP SERIES: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS IN 2026 (W/O $50,000 IN 2025 N/E). LEG 1.
(7) JOKIC has worked his way back into form that I honestly didn’t expect him to get back to. He gave the upper-level trotters a good effort two back, and was interfered with at the start of last week’s mile. He should slot very well into this Pop-Up if he keeps it up. (2) ROYAL BELUGA has produced two good efforts off the claim and returns to the Mohawk oval where he has found some success in the past. I don’t expect him to near double-digit odds. (8) LILYS LASS was right there at the wire when dropping in class. She is a versatile mare that has recent success.
Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $11,000 OR LESS IN LAST 4 STARTS. W/O $16,500 IN 2026 N/E.
(5) IMASHIPWRECK gets a drop in class after two trips where I thought she didn’t get the fairest shot in the stretch. She loses Roy, but Jamieson got early speed out of her two back. She could trip out at a price. (4) BADGIRL BRIDGETTE used a sustained middle move to get into the race and eventually wear down the leaders. She continued her winning ways for the new barn, and should do well again here. (6) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL was even better last week and had some good pace on the end of it when racing up the inside. She should be right in the mix again.
Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $32,000 (OS $46,250) LIFETIME.
(4) EA MONEY MAKER held her own against some much tougher fillies and mares last week. She was a good winner two back at this level. If McClure gets her into play, she should have a big chance. (2) DAY OF DELIGHT shook loose late and finished up decently to hit the board. She gets a big post switch tonight; A better trip can see her right in the mix. (7) ANGELS AMOUNG US was on the outside for a majority of the mile last week but still finished up strongly. Cullen gives her another chance.
Race 8: F&M, NW $1,000 L4 STARTS (W/O $7,500 L8 STARTS N/E). AE: N/A $1,210 P/S IN 2025 OR 2026 (MIN 2 STARTS). AE: OPT. CLM. $12,500. AE: OS 4YO NW $2,950 L4.
(3) KIERA SEELSTER held on decently to be third after making an extended move to the front last week. She gets a big post improvement tonight and should be right there. (2) BRYDOWN ALL KISSES was a mare I liked last week, but she came up just short after a good trip. She has improved with Lasix. (7) MADRID A has posted back to back strong miles from off the pace. She should be set to make another grinding move this week and get a piece.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES OPEN.
(3) CAVIAR N CRACKERS definitely needed that time off. She came back much fresher and got the job done after swinging outside in the stretch. The classy mare returns to the Open. (6) ANGOSTURA HANOVER has won three in a row and finally gained some more trust from the bettors last week. She continues to race extremely well at the top level. (5) ABSOLUTION burned even more money last week when finishing third. She has yet to get the job done this season.
Race 10: POP UP SERIES: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS IN 2026 (W/O $50,000 IN 2025 N/E). LEG 1.
(4) HUNGRY HILL was a good winner last week at Flamboro on the front end. He finds a softer spot in this Pop-Up Series and should race well here. (7) FRENCHY HANOVER has been racing okay at similar levels, but picking up Doug McNair tonight is a key factor. She could easily be first to the lead if he presses the pedal. (9) ARCHIMEDES was a good third from off the pace last week. Similar tactics could be in store from the high draw.
