(5) MY HUNGRY GIRL was a victim of pace and trip last week and she was likely best, but she had no chance of catching the leader who crawled around the track for the opening 3/4. She should get a more aggressive steer tonight; top call. (6) ANGOSTURA HANOVER was good in the Blizzard series final, but the undefeated winner was a bit better. She fits well here, and she is one of the main contenders. This is a better class for (2) SPLASH OF PINK, who flew home to win at this level two starts back. She is another Pick 5 possibility. (7) GLENBORO got gifted an easy trip on the engine and she converted last week. I don’t see a repeat of that trip coming and I’ll play to beat her.

Race 2: F&M 5YO and younger NW2 or $34,250 LT AE: 4YO NW $21,350 in 2023/24

Unbeaten (9) MARGOSGOTTHECARGO raced terrific first-over to take the Blizzard series and she will likely keep her perfect record intact tonight. (8) STARBETS has raced well in two straight, and she will likely get under bet here starting from a wide post. She could add some value to the Exacta. (4) STAY SPECIAL got the job done at odds on and she adds Lasix now. She should close for a share here. (1) BETH will be passing rivals late. She is a good one to use underneath.

Race 3: F&M NW $10,450 L5 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 AE: NW $3,150 L3

(6) WILDCAT STAR beat a better field five starts back than she faces here, and she is the one to beat on the class drop tonight; top call. (1) BETTER BE DONNA N gets both class and post relief tonight and she is the other one that I’ll use in the early Pick 5. (5) KELE KELE cut a big opening 1/2 last week and continued on to beat easier. She is likely to take a small share here facing tougher. (8) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL is capable of passing a few of these late and landing in the bottom of the exotics at a price.

Race 4: NW $2,050 L3 or $7,300 L8 - Pick 4

This should be a much easier spot for (2) PRINCE OF SUSSEX, and he gets a better post to work from. I expect an aggressive try vs. these; top call. (1) SHESTHELUCKYONE was 2nd to a classy rival last week and she fits well here. She will probably be the one to fend off late. (9) HEY RALPHIE is another dropper that should go better here but from a wide post I’ll use him underneath. (5) TYMAL RIGGS raced a bit better last week. I can see him cracking the bottom of the exotics at a price tonight.

Race 5: F&M that have started for a purse of $9,000 or less in 1 of L4 AE: N/A $830 P/S in 2023

Inside droppers (1) POWERED BY MACH and (2) SAUBLE AMBER should dominate this race. Nod goes to the former who will likely set up shop on the engine early and play come and catch me. (6) WILDCAT DELIGHT is another that fits better here, and she should close late to take a share. (7) BLUEMEA KISS raced better last week. She is in the exotics mix again.

Race 6: F&M 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT - Pick 5

$25,000 London sale buy (9) SHES LAWLESS looks well primed for a good debut effort by trainer Pentland and I’ll give her a slight nod expecting a good price. (6) CATCH MY BREATH will take a lot of action here based on her blowout debut win at Flamboro Downs and she is hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (4) MCWICKED BEACH fired a nice kicker in her recent qualifier, and she can close for a share here. (10) THINK AHEAD closed mildly in her debut and she is worth a look for the bottom of the Tri and Super at what should be a big price.

Race 7: F&M NW $20,500 L5 AE: NW 8 LT - Pick 4

(8) SHES GOT IT ALL raced well last week and just missed on the class drop. Her price will be better here, and I’ll give her the nod over (2) HUNTRESS, who moves to Menary’s barn for this race, and figures on the class drop. The concern with her is the stale date. (4) JM BETONSIX has been racing well every week and she should be in the exotics mix again. (10) STYLE FOR A MILE was a game winner last week and she would be rated higher here if she drew better.

Race 8: NW $2,050 L3 or $7,300 L8

Tough race here. I’ll stab with (2) MASSIVE PROFIT on the trainer change to Merner who has had a good start to 2024 at this track. (1) BLOGMASTER had two starts vs. tougher since shipping north from Buffalo and he should improve sharply in this spot; using. (8) SOUTHWIND CAESER will likely get put into this race by Cullen leaving the gate. He is another in with a chance. (9) ESQUIRE is another that will likely leave hard for position. I see him sticking around for a share.

Race 9: 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT

(10) LAMBORGHINI LOU raced great in defeat to a strong winner last week. He won’t get bet from out there with Mackenzie in the bike and that’s enough for me to want to take a price swing with him. (7) CAPTAIN NASHVILLE was out a long way and he closed off stalled cover for 2nd, but he was starting to hang at the wire. He can win here, but I wouldn’t take a short win price. (2) PURELY WICKED shriveled up late on the lead last week. I think he will look for a helmet to follow this time and he is in with a decent chance tonight. (3) ALLSTAR PLAYBOY takes frequent shares, and he is a good one to use on the bottom.

Race 10: NW $4,000 L5 AE: OPT CLM $25,000

(7) MISTER MAGIC was beaten on the square by a class dropper last week, but he is the one to beat vs. these; top call. (9) MEADOWBRANCH NOBLE fits better at this level and he is worth using at a price on multi-race tickets; using. (3) STELLA ALPHA was out tripped last week. She is capable at this level if she can trip out racing near the front and she is another possibility for late Pick 4 and Pick 5 tickets. (1) ROYAL LEAF was on a 51-race losing streak when Macdonald sat in the bike two starts back, now he is shooting for a threepeat, but he loses the leading driver to the choice, and he faces tougher; small share predicted. (5) COOL CLIFFORD had a tough trip last week and he still stuck around for a share. He should be in the exotics mix here.
