Race 1: F&M 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**

(6) CRAFTY CRYSTAL, a $22,000 Harrisburg buy, is a full-sister to $659K earner Clear Idea, draws best for this debut and she attracts the leading driver. That’s enough for me to give her the nod in a field that has no standout. (7) HOT COE COE is sharp and she keeps coming close. She will get there one of these nights and it could be tonight. (3) STAY CLASSY regularly fires home quickly at the end of her miles and she is another that merits a close look for the early Pick 5. (1) ALWAYS A CATCH was 2nd in 1:54-flat at 2 to 5 when last seen here. I don’t love the rail post for her in this 2024 debut. I’ll use her underneath.

Race 2: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT

(9) MVN was simply beat by a better horse last week. If she can produce the same effort here, she can win. (5) LOOKS LIKE GAME ON has been right there in five of his last six starts and he is the obvious threat here, but he has three weeks which was the deciding factor for me. (6) HP ADALINE probably needed last week’s start after missing a week. She can rebound here and take a share. (7) ALLSTAR GOLDI disappointed as the chalk last week and this is a tougher spot; small share predicted.

Race 3: F&M winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $45,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO CLM $50,000

(4) SPLASH OF PINK looked like a mare than needed a race last week coming in off a five-week layoff. She was motoring late and that race should serve as a perfect tightener for a much more aggressive try here. She will be a single for me. (1) STAY SPECIAL jogged for Borth with J Mac picking up his ‘O Brien Award in PEI. She is the logical alternative to the choice. (7) ETHEL was a predictable winner last time but she is in tougher now. Her high late speed gives her a chance and she will offer a good price if you still like her. (8) ONLYTHEGOODDIYOUNG is in terrific form but she will likely close late for a slice after starting from out there.

Race 4: NW $20,000 in 2023/24 - Pick 4

(4) MAGNIFICENT SEVEN was much better last week and I could see Borth getting more aggressive with him now; top call. (7) R ROYAL PORT took his first win of 2023/24 last time at Flamboro now he gets the leading driver here in a spot where he should content; using. (3) SPICY RED HEAD is another that showed improvement in her last start but she has taken two wins vs. 15 slices in 2023/24. I wouldn’t take a short win price here. (1) TYMAL TAROT is capable of taking a share here moving to an inside post; using underneath.

Race 5: F&M 4YO and younger NW2 or $17,750 LT

We have a wide-open NW2 dash here and I’ll try (4) INDRA who has improved her late speed recently and gets the leading driver in the bike. (5) RED DIRT FLASH was 2nd to a dominant winner that trotted a fast mile for the class, and she looks like one of the main contenders here; using. (9) BETH showed last fall that she is fast enough to beat these. She could do here if she gets put into the race from her wide post. (10) WILDCAT LISA comes off a decent effort and she can add some value to the Tri or Super here.

Race 6: NW $4,450 L5 or $9,550 L10 AE: OPT CLM $25,000 - Pick 5

(3) GRATEFUL had a tough trip but he kept coming in the lane to just miss in a good effort. He gets the nod to turn the tables here. (1) STELLA ALPHA gets Roy back tonight and this duo teamed up for a nice win from the rail two starts back. She is sharp and dangerous. (5) PRINCE OF SUSSEX was given a perfect steer by McNair to beat the choice last week. I’m inclined to try to beat him here. (4) PHOENIX should be passing some rivals late to take a share here.

Race 7: SNOWSHOE PACING SERIES FINAL

(7) SPEAKER OF PEACE took most of these down last week despite starting from post 10 and he is the clear one to beat in this final. (2) WRY was McNair’s choice over other contenders here and he is as sharp as can be. He figures to be the main threat. (4) LETS GO JUDE raced well in defeat to the choice and he should be part of the exotics here. (1) CALL ME IT can get a good following trip here and spice up the exotics.

Race 8: NW $2,050 L3 AE: OPT CLM $20,000 - Pick 4

(6) RITSON raced better last week now he drops to the bottom conditioned level and meets a field he should beat; top call. (4) ON THE ROPES raced well last week but he was too far back. He can be an Exacta factor here. (8) EZRA won at this level with Macdonald in the bike two starts back but this is a tougher NW $2,050 L3 field. I’ll use him underneath here. (5) IMA STANDUP GUY is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics moving into the Barrington barn.

Race 9: FILLIES AND MARES PREFERRED

(5) SO MUCH MORE rarely gets beat three times in a row at this level and she gets the call to break her short losing streak here. (6) TELLS ON A ROLL has been just that and she has hard to leave off late multi-race tickets as she shoots for the threepeat. (7) SHES GOT IT ALL worked her way up to this level and she keeps hitting the board. She can be part of the exotics again. (4) STYLE FOR A MILE can close for another small share here.

Race 10: F&M NW $5,100 L5 AE: Starters for a purse of $9K or less L4

(4) SAUBLE AMBER dropped and got claimed by Moreau and she seems to fit well here. I’ll give her the nod expecting improvement racing off the claim. Her stablemate (7) RAPTORS WON has only six rivals to her left at the start this eek and I think Filion will put her into play leaving the gate. She can be a big speed threat in this spot; using. (6) POWERED BY MACH is another one that should be blasting with McNair in the bike and she is another to consider for late multi-race tickets. (3) TWO PISTOL ANNIE disappointed twice at 3 to 5. She seems more likely to take a share than a win tonight.

Race 11: F&M NW $8,600 L5 or NW $19,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 or NW $100,000 LT or NW $33,500 in 2023/24

(4) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL raced well at this level two starts back when she made a big move and tried to bottom out the field. She was nailed by a rival that stepped up and won right back and I’ll try this one at a price here. (8) SAULSBROOK OLYMPIA drops and gets J Mac and she can be a threat here despite drawing widest; using. (7) ALABAMA HANNAH had speed both early and late when winning at this level last week. Her good tactical speed makes her a threat to repeat. (3) NEED TO BREATHE raced okay first up last week and she can take another share here. (10) TWIN B TIPSTER is a good one to use underneath at a price on the class drop.
