She now has back-to-back starts at this level and looks primed for a good effort tonight, in a race that should consist of plenty of speed to chase. (5) LADYTERRA had sneaky pace in between rivals in her latest in what was a tougher spot. She drops down here this evening and should be activated early off the switch tonight; contender. (2) GOUDAWON takes a dip in class off an underwhelming effort vs. tougher company. She draws inside, picks up JMac and should find this group more to her liking. (8) POWDER PLAY comes off a 4th place effort in her latest but missed three weeks leading up to that contest. She reunites with Jody Jamieson who has guided her to 7 of her 12 lifetime victories. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: FILLIES & MARES PREFERRED. (5) DABARNDAWGSWATCHIN got away 4th off the car and wasn’t able to improve a position, proving no match her to stable mate (1) BLUE PACIFIC, who has been bionic rallying off three-consecutive victories. Tonight, I’ll side with the former, who will offer up a better price and will be back on a regular rotation against her toughest counterpart. (3) SO MUCH MORE was second at this level last time out but will need to reach for a bit more vs. the top two right now. (4) CAVIAR N CRACKERS does her best work late and should have every opportunity to hit the bottom of the ticket. (8) ANGOSTURA HANOVER finished a narrow second in her latest try and should be able to land on the ticket in vs. this group. Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, NW $8,000 LAST 5 OR NW $18,075 LAST 10 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. (6) COZ IM SPECIAL was never a factor in her most recent try after shipping back from The Meadowlands, but had missed one month going into that contest. Tonight, trainer Mark Etsell hands the lines over to Bob McClure, who will sit behind him for the first time since 2023 and provides some intrigue. (4) NEVER LOSE FELIX has drawn outside over his last two tries and never got involved in either of them; he should have every chance to here. (3) HEY DUDE will make his sophomore debut off a 3rd place qualifying effort under urging from Jody Jamieson. It’s not a deep group overall. Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $67,500 LIFETIME. (1) MOTHER MARY missed one month going into her latest start and likely needed that tightener. (10) TH SANDRA DEE will take a step up here but is likely only good enough for a share in this spot. Race 9: NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $24,500 (OS $35,750) LIFETIME. (9) QUICKERTHANTHEYE was moving well late in the mile in his most recent start, which should have him primed for a good effort here; top call. (6) PARADISE MONI has worked out nice trips over his last two but has gotten weak late in miles. He shows up on Lasix here which provides some intrigue; using. (1) STEELWHEEL HANOVER had favorable fractions but quit on the lead on a night that wasn’t kind to speedsters; she draws inside and will have to work out a favorable trip from the pole position. (4) BOOTS made a couple of moves in the mile and was able to reign victorious; she draws well and will be aggressively handled early. (9) ALLSTAR PLAYBOY found a seam late in the mile and shook through with plenty of pace; she draws outside yet again and will likely be racing for a piece because of it.
