(3) LADY WICKED was aggressively handled at big odds in her latest and worked out a pocket trip. She faded badly off that effort but had shown she isn’t as bad as that effort indicated. I’m willing to forgive her and hope she bounces back. (8) LITTLE MOMENTS closed nicely to be second in her latest and should be in store for a good effort; only problem is she draws furthest outside this evening. (6) CALCITE has shown some quirks early on in her career but it appears that they she has speed. If she can piece it together, she has a chance. (7) FULLOF PERSONALITY made an aggressive bid in her latest and was out away in a strong, 3rd-place effort. That was a good effort and warrants respect.

Race 2: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 5 STARTS (W/O $12,500 LAST 10 STARTS N/E).
(4) NO MONEY HONEY was taken out of the race in her latest after being stuck behind a pair of rivals who began to go backwards. She showed good speed at the end of her mile when she shook loose, and we’re hoping she can avoid any troubled trips this evening; top call. (5) MYSTIC WILD ROSE got away towards the back of the pack after drawing post 10 in her latest. She rallied well to round out the super and can pick up a bigger piece here with an improved draw. (1) STONEBRIDGE DRAMA came out of the same race as the two above and was also unable to get involved early on in the mile, by virtue of an outside draw. She draws the rail this evening and can get situated a lot sooner in this spot. (2) SWEET GADGETS will make her 2025 debut after a trio of qualifiers in preparation for it. She can hit the ticket but I’ll need to see a start.

Race 3: POP UP SERIES FINAL: HORSES & GELDINGS 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW $25,000 OR N/A $1,500 P/S IN 2024-25
(6) BOOTS has won back-to-back starts for new trainer Ben Hollingsworth and was in absolute cruise control in his latest. He will look for the Pop Up Series Sweep and looks awfully tough to beat. (1) ROBBY LOVE DAT stormed by his rivals late in the stretch for an easy victory. He showed good late speed in the first leg of this Pop Up Series and will be a value player to use underneath. (5) WHY WOULDNT YA had every chance to get to the choice in his latest but posed as no real threat. He should work out a nice trip but will need to find more. (4) SMILES FOR MILES has been no worse than 3rd over his last three tries and will have every chance to hit the ticket in a field of six.
Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $20,000 (OS $30,500) LIFETIME.
(3) EYE OF AN EAGLE was stuck fourth over on cover turning for home and made nice gains to miss by a nose. He draws inside, will only have to deal with seven other rivals in this contest and look poised to find the winner’s circle coming off a pair of good efforts. (7) OH HILL NO got the jump on the choice in her latest and was able to hang on for the victory despite facing some pressure approaching the 3/4 pole. She should be able to have a tactical advantage on the one above but will likely need to find a little more here. (8) MAJOR BANK didn’t have much to offer despite a good effort two starts back. He draws outside but should be good enough to hit the ticket. (4) MR JAZZ MAN broke his maiden in dominant fashion but can land on the ticket here.
Race 5: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $20,000 (OS $30,500) LIFETIME.
(1) MASTERWORK was 3rd over as they approached the 3/4 pole but got caught in a blind switch as others tipped 3-wide before he did. He got trapped behind a wall of rivals and showed good late trot when shaking loose to be 3rd. He’s been sharp and will have every chance at finding the winner’s circle with a clean trip. (8) LUVUTOTHEMOONANBAK made a miscue off the gate but was back trotting and finessed beautifully around the racetrack by Doug McNair, en route to a narrow score. He is a perfect 2-2 to start his racing career and will be a win candidate in this spot, so long as he behaves. (6) ROSETTA angled off cover turning for home and had absolutely no pop. This filly is better than what she showed in her latest effort and should be able to show improvement this evening.
Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,900 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000.
(7) WESTERN WISH was trapped along the inside with nowhere to go in her latest effort. She had sneaky pace in between rivals in a 6th place effort. She drops down a level where she was a narrow 2nd two starts back and gets top honours here. (3) FOX VALLEY TESSA picked up the services of James MacDonald in her latest and found the winner’s circle. She draws inside and should have every chance to get a big piece in here. (2) SHOOT THE WHISKEY sat in the two hole and angled out at the top of the lane but was unable to pick up more momentum than the choice. She should be able to work out a favorable trip yet again and is a win candidate in what is a wide open race. (4) CHARMBRO STORMY was 3rd-over, directly behind the choice but lost ground to her as they sprint for home. She paced well to grab a piece and the same can be done here.
Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS.
(1) ACEFORTYFOUR DAISY showed good wheels at the end of her like to grab the show spot. She had been racing very well as of late and should have speed to chase in here to be a big threat. (7) COZ IM SPECIAL finished above the one above but didn’t have as much pace as that one late. She can trip herself out here and is a threat because of it. (4) WILDCAT STAR takes another dip in class here and should appreciate the company she keeps. (2) POWDER PLAY is capable of better despite a very poor try in her latest.
Race 8: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $41,500 LIFETIME.
(5) FOXY SEASIDE disappointed as the favorite in her most recent try after going on a speed mission. It was the first time she was on the engine in a while and might be better suited with a target to chase this evening. She should bounce back. (2) PRESCELTO left out for early positioning and was trapped in behind a few rivals. She had pace when shaking loose but it was too late to catch the eventual winner. She seems to be trending in the right direction but might be in too tough as far as being a win candidate. (4) JOB HUNTER was 4th in her latest, exiting the same race as the choice. She has won 2 out of her last 3 starts but is likely racing for a piece. (1) KANDY KISS broke her maiden in her latest and should have every opportunity to hit the ticket in her first try in nw2.
Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $67,250 LIFETIME.
(3) MISS DUTTON made a few moves in her most recent effort in a strong 3rd-place effort. She ended up being placed but had bounce back potential with a favorable draw here. (7) SWIFT TALKER was a narrow winner in her latest before being placed to 2nd after causing interference. She had been racing well and will have every opportunity to get the job done in this field. (5) LOVE ON ME showed some good pace late in the mile behind rivals but had too much work to do late. She is a contender with the right trip. (1) SUNSHINE MAGIC grabbed a share in her latest and she will have every opportunity to do that here

Race 10: NW $2,500 LAST 5 STARTS (W/O $12,500 LAST 10 STARTS N/E).
(3) DERF HANOVER is coming off a winning qualifier at Flamboro after having not aced since December. He has the back class to take on this group and picks up the services of James MacDonald, which adds some intrigue. (2) BUCK DANCER was a winner in his first start for new trainer Kyle Fellows. He hooks a similar group and will have every opportunity to double up. (4) MISTER MAGIC raced on Monday and put forth an underwhelming effort given his trip. He’ll likely be forward place from this spot and that merits respect. (5) EYES OF JUSTICE has been closing well over his last few tries to pick up shares. He will likely get away towards the back of the pack but had the luxury of a short field this evening.
Race 11 FILLIES & MARES, NW $19,250 LAST 5 STARTS.
(2) OH A LEGEND missed in the Blizzard Series final as the overwhelming choice on 2/7. She will be taking a step up in class but is fast enough to go with these — the only concern is that she has missed a few weeks coming into this contest. (9) CAVIAR N CRACKERS worked out a perfect trip in her latest and couldn’t go by a game winner. She has to start from the outside and will need things to set up for her to get her picture taken; contender. (7) GLENBORO went on a speed try and faded to 4th. She will be summoned for the gate early and will likely try to score form up close. (5) ANGOSTURA HANOVER has hit the board in 3 of her last 4 and she can do so here once again. (3) GRIT N GRACE was placed up to victory after finishing a narrow 2nd. She is racing well and should have every chance to grab a share.
