Race 1: F&M 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**

(9) JACINDA makes her first start since being sold and she should get an aggressive McNair steer leaving from a wide post here; top call. (1) HOT COE COE raced well last time, and she provided perfect cover for the rival that beat her on the wire. She should be right there again. (4) SHE COMES AND GOES makes her sophomore debut coming in off a qualifier where she did what she was asked, finishing up her mile well. This isn’t the toughest spot, and she should be a threat vs. these. (3) PASS CODE’S BREAK was due to her running in and contacting a rival bike, perhaps it doesn’t show an interference break in the program because of heavy fog. Now she has missed more than a month though, so she is probably best used underneath tonight.

Race 2: SNOWSHOE PACING SERIES 2nd Leg

(1) CABOT BEACH made two moves on a string winning favorite and he dug in late to preserve 2nd in an excellent effort in leg 1 of this series. He is the one to beat here. (7) WRY also raced well to get 2nd behind the favorite last week and he races best with McNair at the controls. He is the other one that I’ll use in the early Pick 5. (2) BET THE BB got a good following trip but he couldn’t pass the choice for 2nd. I’ll use him underneath here. (6) CALL ME IT rallied with a sharp final 1/4 last week and he is another to consider for the bottom of the Tri or Super.

Race 3: 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,550 LT

(8) DANCE ON THE MOON raced first up last time and it didn’t work out. The strategy he deployed two starts back can bottom out this field and I expect an aggressive steer tonight. (4) ERINWOOD BIGRIG took money at the windows, flashed speed then took a shuffle. I like the driver change to Borth here and he is another that should get an aggressive steer; using. (3) WATCH YOUR TONE is worth a look for the Pick 5 on the barn change to Fellows alone. (5) BET ON LUCAS had the second tier post in two straight at Flamboro Downs and he can get a better trip here and take a share.

Race 4: NW $2,000 L3 or starters for a purse of $9,000 or less L3 AE: OPT CLM $20,000 AE: Mares NW $1,500 in 2024 - Pick 4

(7) GRATEFUL was circling up to trot off to a decisive win when he jumped it off last week. He should win here if he stays flat. (10) JAYPORT ROADRUNNER T comes back quickly here, takes a big class drop and he gets off the rail. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he led all the way. (6) LOOK AT DAT KAT puts the trotting hopples back on after getting a needed clean line and he has an upset chance here, but he is another that needs to stay trotting. (4) EPIC DREAMER raced okay from the 10-hole last time. He is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics here.

Race 5: F&M 5YO and younger winners or 2 but not more than 4 or $45,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO CLM $50,000

(3) SPLASH OF PINK has excelled in the Burke barn, reaching the potential she hinted at when she raced here to start her career. The only concern here is her stale date, but this is a field that she should beat. (1) DUCHENNE, coming off an easy win at this level, is the logical alternative; using. (2) IRIS SEELSTER comes off a nice effort to finish 2nd and she is in the exotics mix again. (4) ONLYTHEGOODDIYOUNG faces tougher, but she is sharp enough to take a slice here.

Race 6: NW $2,000 L3 or starters for a purse of $9,000 or less L3 AE: OPT CLM $20,000 AE: Mares NW $1,500 in 2024 - Pick 5

(7) OVERKILL HALL made a decent wide charge late in the mile last week now he picks up Hudon who has been driving aggressively and winning regularly this winter; top call. (6) COOL CLIFFORD drops to a good spot and Jones will surely blast with him here facing easier. He will probably be the one to catch when they turn for home; using. (4) SHES GOT PIZAZZ is another dropper that should improve sharply in this spot. I could see Cullen sending her and finding the pocket early and that makes her a threat. (3) MEMO closed for a slice at this level last week and he can take another share here.

Race 7: F&M 5YO and younger NW2 or $19,000 LT

(6) STAY SPECIAL had a tough assignment las week, attempting to close into a 27 1/5 kicker on a good track. She has a much better shot here and she picks up Borth with Macdonald in PEI for the ‘O Brien Awards. I think she gets a more aggressive steer here and converts. (7) INDRA caught the choice for 3rd but she had an easier trip. I’ll use her underneath here. (8) WILDCAT LISA exits the same race as the choice and she is capable of taking a share in this spot. (2) RED DIRT FLASH comes off a nice win at Flamboro but this is tougher; small share predicted.

Race 8: 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,550 LT - Pick 4

(4) TRICKY MCWICKY was moved earlier in her second start and that was all he needed to break his maiden. He looks good to repeat vs. these. (1) LOGAN BEHOLD is the unknown shipping west from the Maritimes following four easy wins and he is the other one that I’ll use on late multi-race tickets. (3) DON’T FREAK OUT closed well to get close to the choice last week. He is in the exotics mix here. (6) LYONS BRUSHMARKS is 1 for 30 but he has taken 10 shares and he is a good one to use underneath.

Race 9: NW $4,000 L5 AE: OPT CLM

(4) RITSON takes a big class drop here and Drury will likely look to send him right down the road; top call. (7) BELLA CAVALLA was game in defeat last week but the winner would not be denied. She is another that can win here and she will get an aggressive steer from McNair in this spot; top call. (3) MISTER MAGIC was simply too far back last week. The closing style he has been using recently has been effective and he is worth a look, but he can be a tough horse to drive and he loses Drury to the choice here. That concerns me a bit. (6) BETTINA HANOVER rarely misses the board and she looks good to take another share here.

Race 10: SNOWSHOE PACING SERIES 2nd Leg

(3) KYLES ART closed in 55 1/5, 26 1/5 in the opening leg and he had no shot of winning because the winner was allowed to crawl around the racetrack. There is a better chance of getting a solid pace to chase tonight and I’ll take a price stab with him. (5) LETS GO JUDE looked good winning an opening leg last week and he should be the one to beat here. (10) SPEAKER OF PEACE is on a roll but he has probably already made the final with last week’s win and he might be carefully driven here. I’m inclined to try to beat him from post 10. (4) SHREDDAR got a 1:00 3/5 middle half last week which is unlikely to be repeated here. He is another that I must try to beat here.

Race 11: NW $20,000 in 2023/24

In a race with no standout, I’ll side with (6) ON THE ROPES, who gets the first time McNair angle in his favor tonight. (8) MAJORDANCEMOVES drops to a good spot and he will likely carry his speed a long way here; using. (9) TYMAL TAROT has been racing well and he has the gate speed to get a good spot early in the mile. He is another that is in with a shot. (4) SPICY RED HEAD closed nicely for a slice last time and she is a good one to use on the bottom of the exotics here. (1) CADILLAC is another closer that should be good for a small slice tonight.
