Early Pick-5: 2,4/3,7/3,8/1,2/3 $3.20
Late Pick-5: 4/5,10/4,5,6/4/3,5 $2.40
Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000.
(2) LANESIDE INCONTROL gets a sharp drop in class that really propels her over the top. Last week’s effort from off the pace should have her tighter. (4) CARRERA SUNSET N was better last week with a conservative drive. We could see some more gate speed tonight. (1) UTOPIA BLUE CHIP also gets a drop, but her form hasn’t been quite up to par. I think a patient drive can get her a piece.

Race 2: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(3) STEAL MY SUNSHINE was heavily backed last week and nearly went down the road. Similar tactics should be in play. (7) SPORTY EVIE made a strong middle move to get into contention, but couldn’t sustain it. I can see her working off a helmet and adding value to exotics. (1) WINDSUN CHELSEA was kept to task in her lone morning prep and retains the services of James Macdonald. She will need to step forward.
Race 3: NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $4,500 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $975 P/S IN 2025-26 (MIN 10 STARTS).
(8) VIMY RIDGE VENTI gets an interesting driver change after two efforts where he stayed flat. We could see some different tactics tonight. (3) STORMONT CHEERIO should be a main player here after holding his own against the class above this. The post favors him as well. (4) ARCHIMEDES is 0-for-33 over the last 14 months, but he will take plenty of support because of J-Mac. He will be too much of an underlay for me.
Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $50,000 (OS $69,500) LIFETIME. AE: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER OPT. CLM. $60,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(1) CC ROCKIN ROSIE flaunted her back class right away after a stalking trip. I would expect her to show more in start two off the bench. (2) LETS N JOY N is 3-for-3 since shipping from down under, and shows no signs of slowing down. She can trip out in multiple ways. (8) STELLRMANIPULATION logically worked out an off the pace trip in her first start back. If she steps forward, she can get a piece.
Race 5: POP UP SERIES FINAL: STARTERS FOR PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS IN L3 STARTS (W/O $50,000 IN 2025 NE). AE: NW $20,000 IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS).
(3) ETERNALLY HANOVER should be the value of the race after a sharp move saw him get into contention. He needs to avoid an early self-destruction. (4) CLASSIC MAGIC has cruised through this Pop-Up Series, and draws perfectly for another speed try. (2) JOKIC worked out a nice trip in the snow last week and edged away late. He is in top form.
Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $38,500) LIFETIME.
J-Mac knew exactly what he had with (4) DAY OF DELIGHT last week and wasn’t keen on pushing her more than he needed to. We haven’t seen the bottom of her yet. (7) EA MONEY MAKER worked out a nice trip last week and looked good while drawing away. I would expect a little more patience this week, but I trust McClure to get her in a good spot. (8) TROPICAL CYCLONE didn’t get a fair shot last week after an equipment break, but she draws outside of her main rivals.
Race 7: NW $2,650 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $7,500 LAST 8 STARTS. (W/O $10,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000.
(5) BUCK DANCER rebounded nicely last week after sitting a good trip. He’ll provide a little extra value if the bettors flock towards the outside. (10) DAHLQUIST HANOVER looks for a wake up from the high draw, but his form hasn’t been the greatest. He should be on the move and try to get to the lead, but a horse like Buck Dancer or Mister Magic could easily trip out and beat him. (8) MUSCLE FASHION is another contender, but he was hardly at his best last week. We’ll see how aggressive J-Mac is this time.
Race 8: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 4 OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS (W/O $24,500 LAST 8 STARTS N/E) AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: N/A $1,985 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 5 STS).
(5) SETTN A PRECEDENT drops back to the level where she was live two starts ago. Plante should look to take her down the road. (4) WASSAIL BLUE CHIP continues to get big pieces from off the pace. I don’t see that changing here unless a big pace meltdown occurs. (6) FATED FIRE looked live in the stretch after blasting to the front in the early going. Don’t overlook her.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES OPEN.
(4) ABSOLUTION was a good second in last week’s edition of this race after a first over move. I expect her to be even tighter tonight. (1) STYLE FOR A MILE got a perfect tow into the race by Absolution and pulled off the upset. She has been sharp in recent weeks. (5) TELLS ON A ROLL was hardly pressured again last week, but couldn’t finish the job at 3-5. Am I a Tells On A Roll hater? At the moment, yes. Money will find her again.
Race 10: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: N/A $2,705 P/S IN 2025-2026.
Last week’s effort from (3) BLINDED BY DELIGHT was the best I’ve seen from her in a long time. She gets a deserving shot at the next class, and I think she can make a big impact. (5) GLENBORO has been a real thorn in the side of her supporters for a while now, but it’s hard to deny her gate speed, which should be on full display tonight. Still, she looms as an underlay. (7) SEACLUSION N is another underlay possibility, mainly because we have seen what she is capable of when she is right. Her last effort was a step in the right direction, but we also said that three back. Your call.
