(6) MISTER MAGIC sat a pocket trip to his stablemate (4) BUCK DANCER in his latest victory and drew away from him at the top of the stretch. I’m expecting a similar trip between these two in this spot yet again, and I’ll side with the former to double-up. (5) ALLSTAR GOLDI ships in from London after hitting the board in his last two and can continue that trend here. (8) KAMERAN HANOVER returns to the big track where he’s had some good showings in his career; he can round out the exotics late.

Race 2: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $67,500 LIFETIME.

(6) MOTHER MARY missed one month going into her latest start and likely needed that tightener. This 3YO had strong showings competing against a pair of quality fillies in the Niagara Series and should be sharp enough here; top call. (5) GRAND CIRCUIT angled off a 2nd-over tow but took time to get into gear; she’s handy and should appreciate this draw. (4) GRANNYS WATCHING went on a speed mission and was 5th by a 1-½ lengths on a night where the track wasn’t favoring speed; she can hang around for a share. (7) CAUGHTSTEALINGHOME stickhandled in between rivals to score in her latest; she’ll have to work from the outside but is a threat with the right trip.

Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000

(7) FOXY SEASIDE will make her first start in 2025 off a pair of winning qualifiers. This 3YO filly was guided by Borth in those preps and was moving well in the stretch in each of them. J-Mac will take over the lines this evening and she looks primed for a winning effort. (5) I DREAM OF JEANIE debuts here for trainer Kyle Fellows after exiting a winning qualifier. This 4YO daughter of Big Jim was under tight lines to Tyler Borth and should be aggressively handled off the switch here. (3) SUNSHINE MAGIC drops back down to a nw2 this evening and should be able to compete; draws well. (6) TH SANDRA DEE will take a step up here but is likely only good enough for a share in this spot.

Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $35,650) LIFETIME.

(4) ROYAL BELUGA has shown flashes of ability in his career but is a bit quirky. Tonight, trainer Mark Etsell hands the lines over to Bob McClure, who will sit behind him for the first time since 2023 and provides some intrigue. (3) QUICKERTHANTHEYE was moving well late in the mile in his most recent start, which should have him primed for a good effort here; contender. (8) SPIN FOR LIFE was a solid 2nd last time out and should be able to sit close turning for home. (7) WHEELIN N STEALIN should be aggressively handled here and can hang around for a piece.

Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, NW $8,750 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $18,250 LAST 10 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000.

(5) ALABAMA HANNAH takes a drop in class and reunites with Doug McNair who guided her to a win two starts back. (7) BETTERNOTMACHME was flying late in the mile to round out the super; she’s versatile, but will likely be racing off a helmet here. (8) STONEBRIDGE HALO hasn’t hit the board in four straight tries but finds herself in a better spot this evening; p5 use. (3) CHARMBRO STORMY has been very sharp for several weeks and can find herself on the ticket despite moving up in class.

Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 5 STARTS.

(2) STONBRIDGE DRAMA didn’t have real estate until late in the stretch and had plenty of pace when shaking loose; I’ll give her the nod here off that try. (3) ACEFORTYFOUR DAISY didn’t have much of a chance from an outside draw but was motoring home late to be 2nd; she’s a main contender with an improved post. (5) CHOCOLATEFORLUNCH was a winner in her latest when she powered home off a 3rd-over trip; contender. (7) LADY GET LUCKY was aggressively handled on a night that didn’t favor speed; she can hit the ticket.

Race 7: POP UP SERIES FINAL: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW $20,000 OR NOT AVERAGING $1,500 PER START IN 2024

(6) STEELWHEEL HANOVER had favorable fractions but quit on the lead on a night that wasn’t kind to speedsters; she draws well and should be on the lead – or close – turning for home. (5) HAZEE COAST was behind a rival who wasn’t advancing and was gaining on her rivals late for a narrow miss; she is a big threat here. (3) ALLSTAR PLAYBOY found a seam late in the mile and shook through with plenty of pace; she draws better and should be in a striking spot late. (7) GRAVITATIONAL has won the first two legs of this Pop-up series and warrants respect here as well.

Race 8: BLIZZARD PACING SERIES FINAL: 3 & 4 YEAR OLD FILLIES & MARES IN 2025. NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 LIFETIME AS OF OCTOBER 31ST, 2024.

(9) OH A LEGEND has won the first two legs of this series and this filly appears to be a notch better than the rest. (3) DIRTY DIANA was a runner-up to the choice two starts back and she draws well enough where she can work out a favorable trip here. (2) LOVE ON ME was tight on a helmet, sandwiched in between a few rivals in her latest and looks like a very good value player underneath. (7) ABSOLUTION flew home to score in her latest but will likely be up against it early and should be able to grab a share here.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, NW $18,950 LAST 5 STARTS.

(5) HUNTRESS avoids taking on some salty pacing mares tonight and finds herself in a spot where she’s going to be the one to beat. (8) GLENBORO is a handy mare who always puts herself in a winning spot, so long as she’s good enough; she’s a use in pick-5’s. (6) ANGOSTURA HANOVER was outsprinted in defeat last time out and draws well here; she can grab a piece. (9) LYONS LEGEND made her first start vs. tougher company in her latest and should be able to build off that effort here; a share is likely.

Race 10: SNOWSHOE PACING SERIES FINAL: 3 & 4 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS IN 2025.NW OF 2 RACES OR $30,000 LIFETIME AS OF OCTOBER 31ST, 2024.

(10) G A SPEED EXPERT is looking for a series sweep tonight. He draws outside but has shown versatility in each of his last two victories and will be sent out by a barn that is having success early on in 2025. (2) A CLASS YANKEE has been no worse than 2nd in his last five tries and will be tough to fend off turning for home. (3) T H BOOMTOWN has won 3 out of his last 4 and will pose as the biggest threat to the two above. (4) BETTERDEALMEIN showed good speed late in the mile in his latest and should be able to close for a share.

Race 11: FILLIES & MARES, NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $12,250 LAST 10 STARTS.

(4) LADYTERRA drops down here this evening and should enjoy the company she keeps tonight; I’ll give her top honors. (2) GOUDAWON missed three weeks going into her most recent try and was a winner at this level on 12/21. (9) FIRSTOFANERA left out for a good spot and slipped up the rail to grab a share; can do the same. (6) SAULSBROOK OLYMPIA does her best work late in the mile and she should be able to close for a share here. (1) BETTER BE DONNA N didn’t have much to offer over her last two tries but draws the pole position and can stick around to hit the ticket.
