Top Pick Stats: 42 - 128 / $215.70 (-$40.30) Best Bets: 6 - 12 / $17.90 (-$6.10) Spot Plays: 1 - 12 / $3.20 (-$20.80) Best Bet: SPEAKER OF PEACE (3RD) Spot Play: BET THE BB (10TH) Early Pick 5: 4,5,7/3,4,6/6/1,5/2,7,8,9 = $14.40 Late Pick 5: 2,3,7/3,5/2,3,5/4,7/4,6,7 = $21.60 Early Pick 4: 1,5/2,7,8,9/2,3,7/3,5 = $9.60 Late Pick 4: 4,7/4,6,7/1,2/1,2,6,9 = $9.60 Race 1: NW $20,000 in 2023/24 **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (5) TYMAL TAROT got hung the mile from a wide post, but he stayed game and still finished in the money. Post improvement might be all he needs to get the job done tonight. (7) SO NOT COOL was the winner of that race as the chalk and he should be right there again. (4) EZRA will get bet on the class drop here and getting Macdonald back, but he failed as the favorite three times in similar spots in December. I wouldn’t take a short price here. I don’t love the rail post for (1) KATKIN MORGAN considering her typical lack of gate speed. I think she closes for another share here. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M 5YO and younger NW2 or $30,000 LT (3) ETHEL was steamrolling late in her Mohawk Park debut, but she was simply too far back to threaten the winner. A more aggressive steer should get her a win here. (4) STAY SPECIAL was perfectly tripped out by the leading driver to win off a seven-month layoff. She could be even sharper now and she is an obvious threat. (6) ONLYTHEGOODDIYOUNG was another that was flying late last week, and she shaded the choice for 2nd. She is another to consider for the early Pick 5. (2) MULLIGAN PHILLY should sit a trip and land in the bottom of the exotics here. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: SNOWSHOE PACING SERIES: 3YO and 4YO COLTS & GELDINGS IN 2024 NW2 OR $30,000 LIFETIME AS OF 10/31/2023 1st Leg (6) SPEAKER OF PEACE shoots for a threepeat coming off two wins where he was 1 to 5 in both. He looks best here, and he should take beating. (1) WRY, 2nd to the choice last time, should be the main danger here. (4) SERGENT SLAUGHTER will likely blast for position, sit a trip, and stick around for a share. (2) ARIZONA JACKSON is another that will likely look to sit an inside trip then come on late; using underneath. Race 4: F&M that have started for a purse of $9K or less in L4 AE: NW $1,850 L5 - Pick 4 (1) BETTER BE DONNA N faces much easier here and this is a spot where she should wake up; top call. (5) TWO PISTOL ANNIE was over bet last week, and probably under driven considering she was kept in rather than sent first up, then had to wait for room before closing late in the lane. She looks solid here, but considering she has fallen short in three straight, it’s hard for me to eat a short price. (3) BUTTERFLY KISSES flashed speed last week which can be a hint at improving form. She should be part of the exotics. (9) BLUEMEA KISS takes frequent small shares. She is a good one to use underneath. Race 5: 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT (9) EARLY PLAY looked good winning two straight at Flamboro Downs and he should be the one to catch here; top call. (8) TRICKY MCWICKY was conservatively driven in his first start, and he produced a nice wide rally late in the mile. He has shown sharp late speed in both his qualifier and debut, and he will probably be the one to fend off late. (2) REGGIE DESBI showed decent late pace in his debut, and he can close for a share here. (7) SAILORS SHADOW’s sophomore debut was decent. He is worth a look at a price for the exotics. Race 6: SNOWSHOE PACING SERIES: 3YO and 4YO COLTS & GELDINGS IN 2024 NW2 OR $30,000 LIFETIME AS OF 10/31/2023 1st Leg - Pick 5 (3) HIGH VOLTAGE DEO should appreciate not having to face Speaker Of Peace tonight and he gets top call vs. these. (2) PEETIE is 8 for 19, and Thiessen drives him best. He is an aggressive teamster that won’t be afraid to take his shot. (7) ALL BETS ON TEX got a tough trip from the 10-hole last time. He can get an easier trip here and that gives him a chance in this spot. (5) GATOR HANOVER fires back fast after finishing 2nd on Monday night and he should be part of the Tri or Super. Race 7: NW $4,100 L5 AE: OPT CLM $25,000 AE: NW1 L10   (5) MISTER MAGIC raced well again last week falling just short and he gets top billing here back in for a $25K tag. (3) BELLA CAVALLA gets to drop tonight, and I can see her getting more aggressive in this spot. She is the other one that I’ll use on multi-race tickets. (2) PHEONIX and (1) RIVERS, who finished 1-2 vs. easier last week, will likely find the top two choices too tough here but both can contend for a share. Race 8: NW $2,000 L3 or NW $7,700 L10 OP CLM $20,000   (3) OVERKILL HALL drops after taking a check despite finishing with broken equipment last week. I expect an aggressive Jamieson steer here. (2) GRATEFUL disappointed as the chalk when doing most of the work. It would be no surprise to see Macdonald trip him out and win this time. (5) DOWEDEALINANDWHY had no chance of closing from where he was last time but missing a check means he can drop in class. He is another in with a chance. (4) VILLEFRANCHE AS, 3rd vs. similar two starts back, can take another small share here. Race 9: M PREFERRED - Pick 4   (7) SO MUCH MORE returns to a 7-day rotation which should mean a return to form tonight; top call. (4) TELLS ON A ROLL took her first win as a four-year-old in that race. She is sharp and dangerous and still likely has room to improve, too; using. (6) DABARNDAWGSWATCHIN did most of the work and held for 2nd. She is in the mix again, likely racing on or near the front again. (3) SHES GOT IT ALL brings her best effort every week and she should be part of the Tri or Super. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: SNOWSHOE PACING SERIES: 3YO and 4YO COLTS & GELDINGS IN 2024 NW2 OR $30,000 LIFETIME AS OF 10/31/2023 1st Leg (6) BET THE BB has shown that he can blast, yield, and re-rally for wins in two straight starts and he is the one to beat here in the opening leg of this series. (4) LETS GO JUDE has raced against the best company recently and taken checks. McNair will put him into play tonight and he should be the main danger. (7) CABOT BEACH raced well in defeat in his first start racing out of the Moreau barn. He can be even better tonight, and he is an obvious threat; using. (8) YANKEE CLOUT took slices in more than half his starts last year and he has shown good gate speed regularly. He can land in the exotics. Race 11: Horses that have started for a purse of $9K or less in 1 of L3 (1) STELLA ALPHA raced okay in her first try at this level and Macdonald, who sticks, wins these types of races regularly; top call. (2) ARRAKIS brings strong form with him from Flamboro Downs, and he is no stranger to Mohawk Park, having taken 8 of his 46 wins at the oval. He figures to be a big threat here. (10) FLOYD THE FREAK raced well at this level last week and Team Hensley had a nice winner already this week. He is worth a look at a price here. (4) TYMAL RIGGS stayed in at odds-on last week and once he got clear he only closed mildly. A small share is likely for him here. Race 12: F&M 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 5 or $45,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO CLM $50,000 (6) STARLIGHT DANCER was given an aggressive steer by Thiessen last week and she came close to pulling off a huge upset. Her price will drop now, but she is in with a good shot vs. these and she gets the nod. (9) IRIS SEELSTER blasted, yielded and re-rallied to beat the choice and she should be a threat right back. I don’t see a wide post as a big issue for her. (2) GLENBORO can get a good trip racing close to the front throughout in this spot; price look for the late Pick 4. (1) IMA DOLL was a decent sophomore last year, taking a check in the Gold Superfinal in her final start. She should contend for at least a share in this four-year-old debut. (8) ELISES DELIGHT has been a money burner recently. She is a great one to use underneath, but I will play to beat her.
