Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $11,850 LAST 10 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: N/A $1,415 P/S IN 2024-25 **$75,000 Pick 5**
(2) CHARMBO STORMY had a long trip culminating with an aggressive wide move in the Pop Up series and she still almost survived it. I think she resumes her winning ways tonight. (5) FLIGHT CREW N finished 2nd to the favorite in two straight starts and her good gate speed and strong current form make her a threat in this spot; using. (1) SAULSBROOK OLYMPIA gets needed post relief here and she is capable at this level. She should get better positioning at the start, and she is the other one that I’ll use in the Pick 5. (3) LADY GET LUCKY got McNair at this level two starts back and she broke. He returns and she gets post relief. She can be part of the exotics.

Race 2: POP UP SERIES: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW $20,000 OR NOT AVERAGING $1,500 PER START IN 2024 (MIN 10 STARTS). NO ALLOWANCES. LEG 2. AE: LEG 1 STARTERS
(3) JIMMY WHISPERS chased dominant DA Magic Mike around the track in the previous Pop Up series and that was an exercise in futility. He is in with a good shot here vs. this group; top call. (6) BOOTS was a belated 2nd as the chalk in Leg 1. I think he gets more aggressive here and that makes him a serious threat; using. (9) ALLSTAR PLAYBOY rode the winner’s cover last time, but he couldn’t sustain his move, and he was beat for 2nd by the choice. He could do here if he gets a decent trip, but he draws widest so I’d demand a price. (1) MAGICAL AOINE brings some solid form in from Flamboro Downs, and he should be good for a share here.

Race 3: SNOWSHOE PACING SERIES: 3 & 4 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS IN 2025. NW OF 2 RACES OR $30,000 LIFETIME AS OF OCTOBER 31ST, 2024. LEG 2 - Pick 4
(2) A CLASS YANKEE almost won from the 10-hole in very fast time in Leg 1 and he finds a short field now that he can beat; top call. (6) TH BOOMTOWN is another that raced great from post 10 as he got up to dead heat for the win. He has been impressive since shipping west from the Maritimes and he would be no surprise here. (3) MIKI RAY missed more than a month, but it didn’t matter as he hung on for the dead heat won with TH Boomtown. He will likely lead early, but I’m not sure he lasts. I’ll use him underneath. (4) PENDLETON RODEO figures to sit and rally for another small share.
Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, NW $14,000 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $29,250 LAST 10 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $70,000. AE: NW $100,000 LIFETIME - Pick 6
(6) LYONS BETTORDAY drops, gets away from streaking Blue Pacific, and draws best. She gets the nod here. (3) FOX VALLEY TESSA made the first wide move on 1/10 racing in a mini blizzard, and she made it up to 2nd chasing the loose leader before being passed by the choice. I like that she gets off the rail and she is in with a chance tonight. (5) SHOOT THE WHISKEY drops, gets Cullen back along with a good post. She should be more aggressively raced tonight and that gives her a chance. (1) ANGOSTURA HANOVER can get over bet here and I don’t love the rail post for her. I’ll play to beat her.
Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME
(10) PLAY PAL made what looked like a winning wide move coming off the final turn last week but the 4 to 5 favorite towered up late to pass her. I don’t mind that she drew widest here as that should add some value; top call. (9) BETTERNREDDER got an aggressive Hudon drive last week which included a pocket pop at the 3/4 pole, but the fresh choice sailed past her three wide. That was a decent effort, and she is in with a puncher’s chance tonight; using. 0 for 33 (2) AMERICAN STARLIGHT split the top two choices when she finished 3rd, and she can take another slice here. (7) SUNNYS GIRL gets off the rail and she can improve enough to sneak into the exotics in this second start.
Race 6: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $22,250 (OS $30,250) LIFETIME - Pick 5
(7) P C PETERBILT was well driven by Young last time and he won well responding to aggressive handling on the final turn; call to repeat. (3) PARADISE MONI’s comeback race when 3rd to the choice was good and he will probably get more aggressive earlier in this mile. He would be no surprise in this spot. (9) C KAN TROT raced well in defeat to the choice, and she draws slightly better now. She can be an exotics factor again. (1) ROYAL BELUGA is going to get a faster start and score an upset one of these weeks, but it probably won’t be tonight starting from the rail; small share predicted.
Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $7,800 LAST 10 STARTS. AE: NOT AVERAGING $1,190 PER START IN 2024-25 (MIN 10 STARTS)
(1) VIOLETS RAINBOW paced a sub-56 back 1/2 now she drops to the bottom conditioned level. I think Plante gets more aggressive with her tonight. She gets top billing. (5) CHOCOLATEFORLUNCH got the trip in the Pop Up final, but she had to sustain a long drive to get the job done, and she was up to the task. She has been good in her past two starts and she will likely be the one to fend off. (3) STONEBRIDGE DRAMA was beaten only a head last time she raced at this level. She can improve sharply in this spot; price look. (10) ACEFORTYFOUR DAISY paced a 27 2/5 kicker racing off the claim and I think she can sneak into the bottom of the exotics despite drawing widest here.
Race 8: SNOWSHOE PACING SERIES: 3 & 4 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS IN 2025. NW OF 2 RACES OR $30,000 LIFETIME AS OF OCTOBER 31ST, 2024. LEG - Pick 4
(1) G A SPEED EXPERT bottomed out the field in a fast mile last week despite missing a month and he will be hard to beat here if he can produce another similar mile. (3) BETTERDEALMEIN made a good late move to get 3rd behind the choice. He can be an Exacta factor here with a better start. (7) D A MAGIC MIKE was driven with intent from the start in the Pop Up final as Hudon didn’t even consider taking a hole at any point. That was an impressive mile, but the choice might be too tough for him in this spot. (5) GANSBAAI can close some ground again and land in the bottom of the exotics.
Race 9: FILLIES & MARES PREFERRED
(1) BLUE PACIFIC is clearly the “now” mare in this division and she gets McNair tonight in quest of a threepeat. I think she gets the job done. (3) SO MUCH MORE was given an easier trip last week after racing her eyeballs out. She is one I rarely predict correctly, but I’ll use her underneath tonight. (4) DABARNDAWGSWATCHIN tripped out on So Much More’s golden cover two starts back and got up late then she skipped a week. She is another that I think takes a slice here. (2) GLENBORO tried the choice first up, and she couldn’t get close to her last week. Another share is likely in the cards for her here.

Race 10: POP UP SERIES: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW $20,000 OR NOT AVERAGING $1,500 PER START IN 2024 (MIN 10 STARTS). NO ALLOWANCES. LEG 2. AE: LEG 1 STARTERS
(3) STEELWHEEL HANOVER cut a more honest pace than last week’s other winner (1) GRAVITATIONAL, and the former will likely look to impose his will and lead all the way again. The latter stole a glacial opening 1/2 then dropped the hammer in the third 1/4, an excellent drive by Davis. He might get forced to race from the pocket here, but he is the one to fear, nonetheless. (5) HEY JUDE HANOVER tried tougher in the Snowshoe series last time. He can take a share here at a price starting from one of the best posts. (8) WHY WOULDNT YA couldn’t stay with Gravitational when bet down to 2 to 5 last week. Another slice is likely his ceiling here.
Race 11: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $62,250 LIFETIME. AE: 4 YO NW $53,250 IN 2024-25
(9) ALLSMOKEANDMIRRORS kicked in 28-flat when racing against a repeat winner last week and she will probably offer some value tonight starting from a wide post; call to upset. (8) GRANNYS WATCHING is the hot mare in here and she will surely blast for the front again tonight. She should be the one to catch. (6) MISS DUTTON was preferred by many handicappers last week and she raced well in defeat. She figures to be a threat right back starting from the best post. (7) SUNSHINE MAGIC comes off a sick scratch, but she was racing well at the time, and she always seems to be in the mix for owner/trainer/driver Hunt. She is another possibility for the late Pick 4 in a good betting race. (5) CAUGHTSTEALINGHOME raced well last week, and she should be in the exotics mix again starting from the middle of the gate.
