Race 1: POP UP SERIES: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000.

(6) ST LADS BEAT IT is coming off a 4th place try at Rideau. He draws well and fits this group well; he can grab a big piece. (3) HAPPY NEIGHS was a solid 2nd in his latest try and draws well enough to work out another good trip. (4) SENIOR ADVISOR should be competitive in this spot and draws well; using. (5) MACH STEADY worked out a decent trip in a 3rd place try at Flamboro and can do the same here. Contender in a wide open race.

Race 2: HARVEST SERIES FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS

(2) ANIBAL DUHARAS tired late in the mile to be second on a night where front-end speed didn’t hold. He should have every opportunity to bounce back in this final tonight. (4) SENDI KA beat the choice last week and will prove to be his biggest threat. He made a bridle change last week and looked more engaged. (5) WOLVERINE LEGEND has a good draw and can stick around for a piece. (1) TANGO IN THE NIGHT rounded out the super vs. this same group and can do the same again.

Race 3: POP UP SERIES: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000.

(2) UNISON was chasing some big panels last time out vs. a rival who was the easiest of winners. Jody Jamieson will be at the controls tonight and I think he can be a main factor with a better trip. (4) THATSWHATISAID N tired to be 3rd in his latest on a night where the front-end didn’t benefit pace-setters. He draws much better in this Pop-Up Series leg and should work out a favorable trip; contender. (5) HES SWIFT went a tough trip in his latest but still managed to nab the show spot. He draws well and will be put in play here. (1) RAYS KREDIT made a miscue at Flamboro last time out; he can close for a share on the big track.

Race 4: HARVEST SERIES: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES

(2) COLD CREEK FUEGO is coming off a victory in a Pop Up Series vs. tougher company and is undoubtedly the one to beat in leg 1 of this Harvest Series; top call. (6) MARLENES LEGACY rallied nicely to be 3rd in her latest. She needed that start and should be more aggressive in this spot. (7) SUNNYS GIRL has hit the board in 5 of 6 tries coming into this event (with two of them being wins). She’s sharp, and should have every chance to hit the ticket. (5) STEADY HEART comes off a 3rd place effort at Flamboro. She can grab a share.

Race 5: NW $1,100 LAST 4 STARTS (W/O $8,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E)

(2) WALKONTHEMOON was conservatively handled over his last two starts after a pair of outside draws. He finished up well in his latest and will now draw inside. He should be involved early and gets top billing. (4) CRYPTO HANOVER hasn’t bit the board over her last few tries but faces a group that lacks consistent form. She draws well and can close for a good piece here; using. (3) HEAD OF THE CLASS was claimed out of his most recent try. He hasn’t been racing well but will make his first start for new trainer Gerard Demers, who's had success with new recruits as of late. (9) WHIZZER WHALEE stuck around to be 3rd in his latest and will have a chance to hit the bottom end of the exotics.

Race 6: HARVEST SERIES: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES

(5) BETTERDOUBLEDOWN picked up her 2nd in her last 3 tries. She comes into this Harvest Series brimming with confidence and will have every chance to work out another winning trip. (6) SHOWMETHEMONEY DEO was conservatively handled in her latest despite having a favorable draw to work with. She draws well and reunites with Doug McNair and she should be forwardly placed in this spot. (4) PARKAVENUEJANET raced from off the pace and secured the show spot in her latest. She has been racing on the engine and getting tired late and could benefit from another off the pace approach. (3) MCJAZZ draws inside and can close late for a share.

Race 7: HARVEST SERIES FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS

(6) SCORPION SEELSTER bounced back after failing to deliver as the overwhelming choice two starts back. He draws well and is the clear choice in this Harvest Series Final. (2) EVANS LEGACY is coming off back-to-back, good tries and could prove to be the choice’s biggest threat with the right trip. (4) LOUS GAME was very poor in his latest after a strong win over the choice two back. Which version will we see tonight? (5) LETR SINK SON has rallied nicely over his last two and can close for a piece.

Race 8: FILLIES & MARES OPEN.

(5) GRIT N GRACE was aggressively handled in her latest and was a strong gate-to-wire winner. She draws well in this short field and will have a great chance to double up. (2) TALK CURDY TO ME rallied nicely to be 2nd to the choice. She draws inside and will undoubtedly work out a good trip in a short field. (3) ABSOLUTION has been razor sharp as of late and will could prove tough to fend off late in the mile if she’s within striking distance. (1) TELLS ON A ROLL was a strong 3rd in the Breeders Crown Final and can continue to build off that effort.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS

(6) JOB HUNTER was a strong 3rd in her third start back since early July. She tired, but hung around for a piece and should be even tighter coming into this outing. I’ll give her top billing with an even better draw this evening. (3) SANTAFES APETITIE has been hindered with outside draws over her last several tries. She finally draws inside and should have every chance to work out a better trip; contender. (4) POWDER PLAY exits a solid qualifying try and will come into this start adding Lasix. She should be competitive on class alone, and warrants respect here. (5) FLIGHT CREW N much better in this spot and will be put in play early; that makes her a threat.

Race 10: 3 NW $2,900 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $6,300 LAST 8 STARTS.

(1) STEAMER was conservatively handled last time out despite having a favorable draw. He will take a further dip in class and will pick up the services of Doug McNair this evening. He should prove tough to take down. (7) DONATOVER was claimed out of his most recent try in what was a winning effort. He will once again race for trainer Gerard Demers and can pick up a good piece. (6) YES is coming off a 2nd place effort and was put in play from pp9. He should work out a good trip and can stick around for a piece. (5) PESO HANOVER draws well and should have every opportunity to hit the bottom of the exotics.

Race 11: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5000 LAST 8 STARTS.

(1) MS QUICK SAND plummets even further down the class ladder after disappointing as the chalk in her latest. She clearly wasn’t herself and should be able to take down this group if she’s close to her best. (5) ONLYTHEGOODDIYOUNG has been hampered with outside draws over her last few trips. She always finishes up well and will be heard from late. (4) CATCHMEGRACEFULLY was very sharp in her latest and just missed as a result of poor cover. This is tougher but she can put forth a good effort. (2) GIMME A CORONA draws well with to be involved early and can stick around for a piece.
