Best Bet: D A BLACK BEAUTY (RACE 1)
Spot Play: MUSCLE FASHION (RACE 4)
Early Pick 5: 6/1,2,5/3,4,5,9/7/2,4
Late Pick 5: 2,5,7/1/2,3,4,6/4/5
Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES)
(6) D A BLACK BEAUTY was airborne in the late stages of the mile to just miss out by a nose. It was her second start of her career, and her first since June and she should be even sharper in this spot; top call. (2) RUNAWAY DIVA was in a three-way photo at the wire with the choice in her lifetime debut. She raced well and can take another step forward here. (8) MCMAYBEL tried to last on the lead through some soft panels and didn’t last. She can pick up a piece off a helmet but is tough to like as a win candidate. (9) PLAY AWAY BELLA was moving nicely at the end of it in her qualifying try. She starts from pp9 in her career debut and is likely racing for a piece.

Race 2: NW $1,250 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: N/A $840 P/S IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: OPT. CLM. $12,500.
(1) LUVUTOTHEMOONANBAK is coming off an even effort in what was his first start since July. He hooks a softer group and is James’ choice, and I’ll side with this 3YO gelding in a race with no standout. (2) OH LINA finished up nicely to be 4th in her latest. She draws inside and could be a threat late. (5) ULTRA LADY S hasn’t been much of a factor over her last several tries. She draws well and should be competitive here; contender. (8) TREGARON wasn’t a factor in his latest. He can pick up a big piece here with the right trip.
Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,250 LAST 8 STARTS.
(5) LADY GET LUCKY made a miscue off the car last time out. She drops back down to a class where she was a winner last time she was at this level and is our top choice here. (9) KIERA SEELSTER hasn’t been a factor in her last few tries. She gets reacquainted with driver James MacDonald, who guided her to a win the last time they were paired together; using. (3) FLIGHT CREW N is back at this optional $12,500 claiming level where she’s proven to enjoy. She’s a contender. (4) YODA QUEEN has taken on tougher in her last few starts and should find a group like this more to her liking.
Race 4: NW $2,600 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $9,500 LAST 8 STARTS.
(7) MUSCLE FASHION takes a dip in class off a solid, 3rd-place effort. He will get paired up with James MacDonald, who has hit the board 9 times in 16 starts with this 10YO (including 3 victories). I’ll give him top honours here. (3) KEVIN ANTHONY hasn’t hit the board in his last five tries but is taking a dip in class. He draws well and should be given every opportunity at this level. (2) MISTER MAGIC exits a 2nd place finish to a much classier rival. He draws well and should be right in the mix. (8) STONEBRIDGE GLEE enters a new barn and provides a bit of intrigue. I’ll take a wait and see approach.
Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,000 LAST 8 STARTS.
(4) LADY HESS made her Ontario debut in her latest in what was a good showing. She should be even tighter here but takes on another good group of mares. (2) ANGOSUTRA HANOVER was 2nd best to the choice in her latest. She is inching closer to notching another victory but hasn’t always been the most reliable when taking money. She is the one to beat. (3) BLINDED BY DELIGHT was up against it with an outside draw in her latest. She draws inside and can work out a winning trip this evening; using. (5) DIRTY DIANA draws well and should be able to stick around for a share.
Race 6: NW $1,250 LAST 4 STARTS.
(5) MERCUTIO appears to be in a much better position, class-wise and has a great draw to boot. I’m expecting him to be aggressively handled here and he gets top honors. (2) BUCK DANCER has raced well over his last two tries and is sitting on a good effort here; he’s a contender. (7) CABALLERO hasn’t been a factor whatsoever over his last few tries. He will race on Lasix and will be paired up with James MacDonald; he’s worth a look. (4) IM ABOVE AVERAGE would’ve picked up a decent share in his latest before jumping it off. I’d be using him underneath in exotics.
Race 7: HARVEST SERIES FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES
(1) BETTERDOUBLEDOWN has been racing well and has been improving. I will give this filly the edge off a sharp runner-up finish to turn the tables in this final on (8) COLD CREEK FUEGO who is undoubtedly the one to beat after her recent efforts in this series. (7) PARKAVENUEJANET should have every chance to race well for a share here. (3) MCJAZZ has rallied nicely to pick up pieces in her last few tries; I think she can do the same here.
Race 8: NW $1,250 LAST 4 STARTS.
(6) HEAD OF THE CLASS made a miscue in his most recent. He has not raced well but has been driven steadily by Travis Cullen, who was recently claimed by Jodie Cullen and co. despite that. Makes me wonder if they think that they know the solution to get this trotter back on track; I’ll give him the edge. (4) DONATOVER draws well and turned the tables on the choice a couple of starts ago; he’s a threat. (2) IRISH DREAMER raced well in his latest and can race for a piece. (3) CODE SWITCH is coming off a solid qualifying prep and is one that can grab a piece with the right trip.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, NW $12,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $32,000 LAST 8 STARTS.
(4) AVYANNA gets to sneak back into this class by virtue of her 2025 earnings. She has raced super since returning to Ontario and gets clear top billing here. (5) GLENBORO was able to go gate-to-wire in her most recent try and should be coming into this event a little more confident. She draws well and will likely be the one to catch. (3) OUTTATHISWORLD DEO was a strong 2nd in her latest. This is a tougher bunch but she should be able to hit the ticket here. (6) WICKED N SINGLE has shown improvement since notching her first win of 2025. She can hit the board.
Race 10: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,650 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $9,250 LAST 8 STARTS.
(5) LYONS BETTORDAY wasn’t a factor vs. tougher company in her latest. She plummets down the class ladder and should have every chance to flaunt her class and take down this group. (1) SUPERIOR DELIGHT has rarely put forth a bad effort all year and she will have every opportunity to big up a good piece underneath. (4) MADRID A is coming off a win in her latest. She can flaunt gate speed and pick up a good piece. (6) WOODMERE FLOJO angled out late in the mile and paced home well to be 3rd. She can grab a share. (8) SANTAFES APETITITE flashed gate speed in her latest and worked out a winning trip. This is tougher and she draws worse; she can round out the Hi 5.
