(6) ALCHEMY HANOVER continued his sharp form when transitioning back to the bigger track and looks in line to make a big late charge for the win. Interesting that (2) LOU WHO was sent down the road and smashed his career best just before transitioning to a new barn… Anyways, an encore of that mile could definitely see him repeat. (3) EVANS LEGACY made a nice bid on the lead in his latest but had to settle for second. Another burst of early speed should allow him to work out a good trip.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).

(7) VERILY came up half a length short at 1/9 in leg four, but the exact chain of events I thought needed to happen for her to get beat actually happened. This time, however, I think she overpowers her rivals late. Will we get an encore from (5) NORTHERNLIGHTS GLO? If so, she could honestly find her way into the winner’s circle at an inflated price. She finished second behind Verily in leg one. (1) REBEL MOON hasn’t gotten great setups in her last two outings but has still raced well. I think she earns a big piece again regardless of the trip. Hard to fault a versatile young trotter.

Race 3: NW $1,100 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: NW $20,000 OR N/A $1,190 P/S IN 2026 AE: 3 YO NW 2 RACES IN 2026.

(8) KISS IN THE SKY doesn’t have the experience of others but is third back after a much-improved outing from the high draw. We’ve seen these types have a hard time sustaining front end bids. (6) LARCENY deserves some credit given his ability to stay sound, but you just wonder how much more he could’ve provided this year. He looked to capitalize on back-to-back sharp starts but tried a second move in a quick race and faded as a result. We’ll see if he can rebound from a good post. (5) DANCE CAPTAIN doesn’t have the punch in my opinion to sustain a forward move all the way to the wire, but he is more than likely to remain in the mix as they hit the wire.

Race 4: NW $2,800 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $9,600 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $25,000.

(8) I GOT THE LOOKS has been frequently in the mix at this level but will need to avoid racing from well back. (6) VICTOR INVICTUS is rounding back into form after a month off. He could be poised for a big effort third back. (7) L P BAY finds an easier field this week but that likely doesn’t stop him from another off the pace try.

Race 5: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. (W/O $10,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: N/A $1,705 P/S IN 2025-2026.

(3) THAI TOUR has provided an extended form cycle despite many trips where he has grinded on the outside. He draws a much better post tonight and could pop at a price. (6) WATERLOO is logical given the company he has been facing. We could see a Mark Mac speed try given this post. (1) BLAZING CRUISER is third back now and could step forward again and land himself on the ticket.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).

(2) D A JOHNNY CASH just missed against (1) DETONATER HANOVER in the last Gold leg but was charging home nicely and just got a piece in the Mohawk Million, which is a big accomplishment. I’ll side with the former who I think has a form edge. (6) THREE SIX ZERO should be tight enough headed into tonight given the qualifier. His early speed makes him a presence in a short field.

Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $24,500 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. AE: NW 8 RACES OR $80,000 LIFETIME. AE: N/A $2,600 P/S IN 2025-26.

(6) MARGOSGOTTHECARGO dug in gamely between horses and secured the win last week. She looks to continue her return to form. (4) TELLS ON A ROLL nearly picked Margo off up the inside but had to settle for second. She finally draws a better post tonight and should be involved early again. (3) GRIT N GRACE couldn’t quite sustain her second move but raced decently. She takes a steep drop in class and could take this field down the road.

Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).

(5) MAJOR CONTENDER has been one of my favorite fillies to follow in this division and she looked even better in her latest. The one to catch. (8) DREAMTRADE couldn’t catch Beauts Cabaret in a race with a swift final half. She might be just a step behind the eight ball when chasing Major Contender in the stretch. (7) FLAWLESS LADY has been in and out at the Gold level but just won as the favorite two starts ago. I think she gets a piece tonight.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES OPEN.

(5) LETS N JOY N put forth her best effort in weeks and that was after a four week break. I’ll give her the nod. (3) ABSOLUTION was outsprinted in the lane but only lost by a length. When she works out a trip up close, she is usually right there. (8) WISE PROFESSOR absolutely flew home last week which added a layer of versatility that I wasn’t sure she contained.

Race 10: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 L 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 L 8 STARTS (W/O $15,500 L 8 STARTS N/E) AE: OPT. CLM. $40,000. AE: NW $22,500 IN 2026. AE: NW $1,500 L5.

(5) TAMARA HANOVER had to settle for a check in her latest but faces a slightly easier field tonight. She has a chance to work out a better trip than her main rivals. (10) MADRID A takes a steep drop in class and could bottom these out if she is unleashed up front. (7) DIXIE DREAM draws slightly better tonight and should have a better opportunity to work into the mix.

(3) ROXIE HART made a miscue in her latest, but we don’t see that often from her. Tonight’s fractions shouldn’t be as demanding, but she could rush past for the win late. (1) WASTINGNOTIME is inching closer to his first win of the season. He is a consistent presence at this level and should be again tonight. (4) ALL GAS NO BRAKES drops to the bottom level after faltering when trying an outside move. He could wake up here, but not for my money.

Race 12: FILLIES & MARES, NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS (W/O $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: N/A $1,115 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: OPT. CLM. $15,000.

(2) MORE THAN A WOMAN gets a key driver change for her second Mohawk start and second start on Lasix. I expect her to show even more tonight. (1) STAG ROYAL has been pacing decent miles but doesn’t have much to show for it. She should provide a better effort against these. (4) WIFEY SAID SO is usually a grinder but she showed more gate speed in her latest. I’ll use her in for a piece.
