Woodbine: Jenna’s Wabbit goes all the way in Frost King
ETOBICOKE, Ontario — Jenna’s Wabbit set a slow pace and kept on going to notch his second straight stakes win in the $125,000 Frost King on Wednesday night at Woodbine.
With Patrick Husbands up, Jenna’s Wabbit recorded splits of 23.41 and 46.63 in the seven-furlong sprint for Ontario-sired 2-year-olds. He drew clear of several stalkers at the three-sixteenths pole and then coasted home on his left lead to win by 2 1/2 lengths in 1:23.29. He paid $3.10.
True Executive finished a clear second in his stakes debut, and King City outran 2-1 second choice Courtville for third in the seven-horse field.
Jenna’s Wabbit collected $75,000 for the partnership of Danny Lococo and Mary Biamonte, the wife of trainer Ralph Biamonte, who was winning his seventh 2-year-old stakes of the meet.
Jenna’s Wabbit also took the Bull Page Stakes in front-running style Oct. 10.
