He broke a bit slowly in his debut in a five-furlong maiden special for Ontario-sired 2-year-olds. After racing in 10th on the outside on the turn, he closed powerfully through the stretch and then galloped out well.

After breaking from the rail in a large field, he rallied for second for the third straight time. The one-time winner was competing out of his condition in this nonwinners-of-three Ontario-sired allowance.
