Woodbine: Horses to watch from October 17 - October 19

Ken Walters|Oct 23, 2013

Thursday, October 17

PAZZO LINDY (NW1/2-3YO) Went down the road easily the best and should step up for another.

HUNKOFBURNINLOVE (NW1/2-3YO) Won in hand as much the best last time and seems primed for a winning streak.

D GS PESQUERO (NW2FM) Had the pocket, pulled in the final turn with great cover and charged home strongly to win going away.

KENNAIRN BUCKWHEAT (CLM8000) Closed strong while chasing the favorite to the wire and should find a winning spot soon.

Friday, October 19

DUKE DID IT (CLMHCP12/15000) Left, took the top, yielded, sat pocket with plenty to offer but had no room to maneuver.

JUSTALITTLEFASTER (CLM15000) Sat the rear to the lane, hit the motor, swung wide, hit overdrive mid-lane and closed a ton but had too far to come.

LIGHTNING CHARGER (CLM15000) Sat in but was blocked through the lane and never had a chance to rally.

EAT ME UP (NW2FM) Rallied gamely up the inside and nearly got it done at 10-1. Should be along in time.

Saturday, October 19

FRIDAYNIGHFLIGHT (NW5000) Got shuffled badly behind a quickly fading leader in the final turn last time out. He cleared early in the stretch but despite a big rally ran out of racetrack.

AMAZON ART (NW5000) Sat third on the rail in last but was shuffled out when the leader backed through the field, slipped out and came wide but it was too late. Beaten favorite will be hard to beat in next.

PISTON BROKE (NW14000) Beaten favorite left, tucked, pulled to the third panel, rallied gamely through the lane but just missed.

PAMPERO FIRPO (NW2) Was victimized by poor cover in his last effort but came on gamely through the lane to just miss. Should be hard to deny in next race or two.
