Race 1
(4) VITAL SIGN is on a roll and goes for Weller off the claim. The step up in class may not matter; top call. (5) CRANKIN IT UP was 2nd to a sharp winner last time and he has been racing well for Allard/Roy. He is the main threat to the choice. (6) JULERICA should get a better trip this time and he can share. (3) DINNER AT THE MET raced decently last time. He could take a slice here racing closer to the front.
Race 2
(8) LATE NIGHT drops to the bottom class here and he should get put into play early by Hudon; top call. (6) BS TYRRIFIC ships in sporting good form for trainer Weller who is starting to heat up; using. (7) B N BAD has good enough form at London to be competitive here. (1) IM THE PIED PIPER also figures in a race that is likely to be decided by trip. He's another for Pick 5 consideration.
Race 3
(1) MAJOR ATHENS raced well in his first start of the year and that came vs. better. I'll give him the nod here. (2) APRIL ROSE is more effective racing on the lead and Hensley will likely blast off looking for the front here. (7) FINISH LINE overcame a long journey to win last time and he is an obvious contender for hot connections. (5) CUE HALL should be an early pace presence here and stick around for a slice.
Race 4
(9) FOUR CARD MAJOR was impressive two back in victory in his first start for trainer Marfisi then he had an impossible trip five days ago. He gets the top driver here and from post 9 he might be a square price. (4) JUST A THOUGHT has a stale date but gets huge changes at trainer and driver here; using. (2) IGNITION SWITCH made two moves to beat similar last week. He is in with a good chance again. (7) SPORTS VISION was driven to victory at 106/1 by this driver at Mohawk last summer off similar lines; beware.
Race 5
(4) WORK THAT MAGIC has shown some life late in her past two miles. She may get asked for more speed early here and could mow these down at a price. (9) LITTLE STUIE was a good second here on Thursday night, but he has still gone a long time between wins. He will get there one of these times when he trips out rather than doing all the work. (5) SUMMAJESTIC had plenty of trot in the lane last week, but the leaders were not slowing down any. He is in with a shot here - especially if he lays closer to the pace.
Race 6
(4) BIG RICH drops to a class where he may be able to carry his speed all the way this time. (6) WILD AND CRAZY GUY also drops and he will likely be put into this race earlier than he has been recently. (2) OLYMPIC SON raced well last week, but he couldn't each a very sharp winner. He's a threat here and he should get a good trip. (8) ABC MUSCLES BOY is in great form, but the outer post may relegate him to a smaller share here.
Race 7
(7) MICKEY HANOVER went a big trip from the worst post last time. Moving inside three slots gives him a decent chance to turn the tables here. (3) ASAP HANOVER drops again and should be prominent throughout here. (2) JAKE LOEWEN fired off a huge mile last time but it's hard to say if he can repeat that performance vs. better here. (8) PAR INTENDED drops one level for his second start off the claim and he can pass most of these late and take a slice.
Race 8
(1) BEYOMBO was only nailed very late in the mile last time in a solid effort. He should be tough in here making his third start of the year. (5) UNDRAFTED was just behind the choice after missing 18 days, now he returns quicker; using. (6) GILLYS BOY couldn't close into a rapid final 1/4 last time, but he fits well here. (2) CHUMMY PRIDE at 0-30 doesn't inspire confidence on the win end, but, he can hang on for a slice.
Race 9
(6) MISTER HERBIE was solid in his return to action following a long layoff. He can take this group if he gets good position early. (3) A ROD HALL is in sensational form - when he stays flat, which is not easy to predict. (1) ETRUSCAN HANOVER was forced out 3-wide on the backside last time which cost him any hope of winning. He should go better here. (5) FEARLESS MAN will set the pace; the question is for how long?
Race 10
(1) FREE WILLY HANOVER was impressive racing on Lasix last week and looks good here to take his eighth win in a row. (8) BATOUTAHILL was too far back and on excess cover last time and as a result she couldn't get close to the winner. She is the logical alternative here if the choice fails. (6) MAJOR MUSCLE was a distant 2nd to the choice last week. She should share here again. (3) AIR GLIDER can take a big piece of this if he stays trotting this time. (4) MACHO MASS keeps McNair here and he's worthy of exotics consideration.
