Race 1
(4) PASSPORT TO ART was a good second to a strong winner here on Thursday night. That was after missing three weeks, so he should be better here returning quickly; top call. (2) BLUE FOX exits the same race where he broke behind the gate, re-set, then worked first-over. A better trip puts him right there with these. (8) FANCOURT closed into a slowing late pace to get up on the wire last time. Any early battling will play into his wheelhouse here. (7) WINDSUN GOTHAM should be closing for a slice here.
Race 2
(3) THINK AGAIN closed for third in a fast mile vs. open claimers here on Thursday night. These should be easier and Henry will likely put him into the race earlier in this small field; top call. (4) EAST END has some sneaky good form vs. better but he needs to be positioned better to have a shot at the win here. (1) SIX BEFORE SEVEN roared up late to beat easier, but an expected faster pace here could take some of the sting out of his finishing kick. (2) KEYSTONE KEEN beat much better four starts back, but has missed a month now after vet scratching; your call.
Race 3
(3) TOUR DE LINDY raced well from the outermost post a class higher last time and he is obviously on the improve and he will get better positioning early here; top call. (6) SUMMIT CITY TURBO went a long mile here on Thursday and paid the price late. Starting from the best post, he has a better chance to clear or at least find a spot near the front at the start here; using. (7) SOUTH WIN BAX got a major upgrade in drivers last time and he was a clear winner. She can go with these and she may be a good price. (8) VASCO BI's race two back would put him right there with these, but the break in stride following a 3 1/2 week break last time is concerning.
Race 4
(6) BEYOMBO put in what should have been a winning effort last time but a rival that roared down the far outside blew by him late; another chance. (9) MYSTICAL SUN has been educated out of town now ships in off a sharp win and picks up the leading driver taking the reins for his father; using. (8) NASCAR SEELSTER - Nirvana Seelster's 1/2 brother - was bought for $87K at Harrisburg and he certainly has licence to win this if he is cranked up enough at first asking. (3) SEDONA SEELSTER came within a foot of upsetting a huge chalk on Thursday night, but that just added to his string of 30 consecutive losses. I will continue to play against him to win.
Race 5
(5) ODDS ON AMETHYST has been trained by conditioner Hudon to save his best for the stretch and that strategy could work to perfection here with lots of early speed signed on. (7) MARQUIS VOLO has only lost to A Rod Hall in his last six starts and that rival doesn't show up here. Expect a strong showing. (1) FINISH LINE took a new life's mark last week and it's folly to discount anything this trainer/driver combo is sending out at the moment; using. (3) CATCH THE DREAM is in great form and he could get a beneficial pace scenario here. He could easily better this placing.
Race 6
(1) LATE NIGHT got cooked in an early speed duel last week when making his first start in this class. The rail post gives Hudon more options this time. I'm thinking he makes amends here. (2) HOUSE OF TERROR improved his late speed last time and this isn't a tough spot at all; using. (10) BURNING SHORE was cooked early last time now he plunges to the bottom class. He's not out of this, but he must avoid a similarly destructive duel here. (4) ROCKABELLA is worth a look switching to the Auciello barn here.
Race 7
(1) ROCKIN WITH DEWEY raced well in two straight using a closing style. She can get away in mid-pack here and chase down some faltering leaders late in the mile. (9) BIG RICH fits this class and he should be able to get a spot near the front early. He could take this with a bit of racing luck. (2) WILD AND CRAZY GUY threw in a clunker last week. Perhaps returning to a 7-day cycle can lead to a better performance. (8) APRIL ROSE will be part of the early pace here - for as far as she goes.
Race 8
(5) CHEYENNE FORD drops back down to where he was winning earlier in the meet and he should get an honest pace to stalk here. I'll give him the nod over the other class-dropper (7) OCAPTAIN MYCAPTAIN, who will likely try to bottom out the field. (3) VITAL SIGN couldn't get close to a powerful winner in his first start out of Allard's barn, but he kept his good form and is worth including here. (1) NO BU faces tougher off a win here and he is unlikely to get the same sweet trip this time.
Race 9
(7) P L JILL went a long trip last time and understandably tired. She was a very good closer last year and I have a hunch she will change styles here and capitalize late on some winded leaders. (1) FREE WILLY HANOVER exits a very quick race in which he was picked off late. He is an obvious Pick 4 must-use. (9) MIGHTY NICKY steps up here, but he can use his powerful closing kick to take a share. (8) SERGEANT SEELSTER likely gets pressured into defeat here, ending his perfect start to the season.
Race 10
(7) FOUR CARD MAJOR went a big mile last week only to be picked off late by a rival that flew home. He has been a new horse for Marfisi and he can take this if provided with a decent trip. (5) FLYIN ORION is an obvious threat for hot connections and the one to knock off. (6) FUTOMAKI raced okay the first time he was in this class last week and he is in with an upset chance here. (2) CLASSIC NEWS faces tougher here but he is in sharp form and can take a share. (3) TRIGGER sets the early pace then hangs around for a small slice.
