Race 1
(2) WINDSUN FALLS got hung the mile here Thursday night, but still wasn't beaten that far. A better trip should be in the offing here, so he gets the nod. (3) HP BLACK SHADOW closed well vs. a better field last time. He can win this with a decent trip. (6) LIVELY FREDDIE couldn't hack it first up last time, but Drury may send him here, which could make him tough. (7) COMEBACK MATT is sharp and dangerous, and he is the fourth contender I will use in the Pick 5 here.
Race 2
(3) JEFFERSON TARE was solid in victory last week and he should be tough right back in this spot. (2) MYBROTHERGEORGE was overbet last time and he showed little, but it's hard to leave any fresh Moreau claims out. (5) INTENDED STYLE passed a few horses late here on Thursday and he can take a share here. (1) CLEVER THING can sit a nice trip here and hit the ticket at a price.
Race 3
(8) WILL TAKE CHARGE is the 'now' horse in this top trotting class and I'll keep riding him while he's hot. (4) ETRUSCAN HANOVER is very fast when he is on his game as seen last week, but, he can also be very erratic. I'll use him in the Pick 5 but wouldn't take a short price for a win bet. (5) IL SOGNO DREAM figures to get a smaller share again. (6) FREE WILLY HANOVER consistently makes the ticket and he should do so here, too.
Race 4
(3) RESITA drops a level here, which was the winning formula for victory two starts back. He could trip out again in this spot. He gets the nod. (8) WINNING LYRIC is getting closer for trainer Gillis who has been doing well at this meet; using. (9) FRENCH BASTILLE disappointed last time, but he gets Roy back here and the price will be better. (5) PERFECT MASS obviously fits if she can stay flat, but that's the big question mark with her.
Race 5
(1) ISITFRIDAYYET was winning in 1:53 1/5 last September at Flamboro, so you know the ability is there. He could move up sharply off the claim here, so, I'll take a swing. (5) KINGSLEYB closed willingly as the pace accelerated in the final 1/4 last week, but he just couldn't catch a tough winner. He is a top contender here. (10) EUCHRED is razor-sharp and I'll use him here but note that winning from the 10-hole has been near impossible at this meet. (6) WESTERN TYRANT can race close up and stick around for a share.
Race 6
(7) GIVE ANGEL CREDIT was shuffled when the leader took off and opened a big lead here Thursday night, then he re-rallied for 2nd. He should be tough here if he goes. (1) KUIL DEVA always seems to be reserved until it's too late. She'll win for the second time one of these weeks, but who knows when. (8) REAL WORLD GOAL should go better here if he can grab some cover; using. (6) CARSON HILL always seems to be on the fringes. A small share is likely here again.
Race 7
(4) CHARMBO ORBIT was simply too far back last time to make any impact late. He gets a better post here and he should be put into the race earlier; top call. (10) SENOR GRANDE drops back to where he fits best, and you know McNair will send him. (7) ROCKABELLA and (5) BET ON ART are both solid closers to consider for use underneath.
Race 8
(3) CRESURREY was solid in his Woodbine debut and he has a big shot here. (2) VERO AMORE BI was bet heavily for his four-year-old debut and he delivered. He won't get as easy a time on the lead here, but he is a contender. (4) HIGHLAND TOP HILL continues to race well, and she can win this with a trip. (1) MUSCLE HIGH will be there early and likely stay for a slice.
Race 9
(4) TOMY TERROR drops, gets a better post and he should get put into play early here; top call. (6) COBALT MAN comes off a sharp victory and this spot is no tougher; using. (5) PLAY IT AGAIN SAM just failed to last in a quick mile last time and he is sharp and dangerous. (1) MARKATHY has been on a roll out of town. He can share here racing close up.
Race 10
(2) O NARUTAC PERFETTO takes a big plunge in class here. He should handle this group. (7) JANGONE closes hard every week and if things fall right, she can pass them all here. (8) ADVERSITY raced tough last week and he can challenge here at what should be a good price again. (4) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO always hits the ticket when Jamieson drives, it seems. Use him underneath. (5) CUE HALL handle easier last week, but a smaller share seems likely vs. these.
