Woodbine Harness: Horses To Watch for October 18 - October 22

Ken Walters|Oct 24, 2012

Thursday, October 18

MIKEY HANOVER (OntS3YO) Came on strongly and gamely through the lane to get up for third.

AMERICAN GRACE (CLMHCP3YOF) Chased the odds-on favorite home to be second best in most recent outing.

MY FRIEND JUSTIN (NW2) Was easily second best in last wrapped up through the lane as the short priced pacesetter jogged home.

HILARIOUS HAYLEY (NW45000/2YOF) Charged hom powerfully from third over in latest and same move beats her own kind in most cases.

Friday, October 19

SHIFTIN GEARTOGEAR (CLMHCP20/25000) Sat pocket raging with pace, went inside the cones gaming out a first place finish but was taken down.

SMASHBOX (NW13000FM) Left well, tucked, pulled to challenge, pressed the favored pacesetter to the lane and tired.

REBEKA BAYAMA (OPENFM) Won in quick time blowing her foes away and should be able to repeat.

KRISPY APPLE (NW285000FM) Seemed to have enough in the lane to make a move but was in tight quarters.

Saturday, October 20

MARKET SHARE (BRDRS) Was nailed on the wire and should atone when it counts.

WARRAWEE NEEDY (BRDRS) Got locked in the pocket with what looked like the winning move.

ESCAPE THE NEWS (BRDRS) Was badly blindswitched when it counted and would have made his presence felt.

CLIC K (NW35000) Had lots of pace but no space to make his best effort. Should be along in time in due time.

HIGH DEF Z TAM (NW8000) Made a game stretch rally and just missed on the wire.

ANDERLECHT (NW16000) Charged home and powered to victory in last leaving enough in the tank to do it again.

Monday, October 22

SPARTAN VICTORY (NW3) Searched for room through the stretch and could have threatened for much more if he found a route.

HIDDEN POTENTIAL (OntS3YO) Sat buried on the rail, slid out mid lane looking for room but instead ended up blindswitched through the lane while looking to make a bid.

STAR PHOTO (NW4) Left but was looped, took the pocket, started to move to the lead but was outkicked by the favorite, settled back into the three hole and chased the top two home. Moreau-
Filion connection will score soon.

GARETH NORRIR (CLMHCP20/25000/3YO) Sat in, jerked out mid lane, settled but hit best stride too late. Winning connection will not be denied in next race or two.
