Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Oct. 26 - Oct. 31

Ken Walters|Nov 03, 2015

Monday, October 26

RECORD STORE (NW2) closed well from Mars in last at over 100-1 and should not be ignored again.

DAYLIGHT RUSH (NW1/2YO) made a costly break before the start in last, rallied back despite broken equipment and closed well but it was too much to ask.

Thursday, October 29

WARRAWEE RAP (NW1/2-3YOF) made a big brush to the lead passing the half but tired early stretch. Better timed move would be a winning move.

NOFEAR BLUE CHIP (NW1/2-3YO) broke in the final turn, righted far back, unleashed an amazing stretch rally. Can score again--and soon.

READ THE PROPOSAL (NW2) set the pace and was totally wrapped up through the lane.

SECRECY (NW2) was off slowly, broke at the start, took back, rallied back uncovered, had too far to come and tired. Lukewarm beaten favorite will atone soon.

Friday, October 30

SHADYS M THREE (NW9000FM) closed with a rush at 25-1 in last and has to be respected in next.

HAZMATT (NW2FM) came uncovered, challenged hard and tired. Beaten favorite was victimized by a tiring track and should not be discounted in next.

LINDWOOD BEACHGIRL (NW2FM) beaten favorite took an early tuck, tipped to the half, rushed up uncovered, battled to the lead and was nailed late by the fresher pocket sitter.

AGGRESSIVE (NW4000) wired the field in last and was only one of two pacesetters to score on the evening.

Saturday, October 31

MYSTERY BET (NW3) second choice closed strongly from third over but a few steps too late as the pacesetting favorite was growing weary.

THE ROCK (NW2) tucked, sat in to the lane, closed gamely between horses at 80-1 following the winner to the wire.

STORMONT KATE (NW12000) went down the road as far as she could. She tired but hung stubbornly to the last yards at 12-1.

SOAKING UP THE SUN (NW3) was sitting with tons of pace when the leader stopped jamming up the field costing this one big time.
