Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Oct. 24 - Oct. 27

Ken Walters|Oct 29, 2014

Thursday, October 24

JUSTABIT MEAN (NW2FM) was parked to the lead, set the clip under last turn pressure, responded well when urged and was no doubt best both on the track and the board.

BIG SURG (CLM15000) wired the field as the well bet second chose holding the favorite at bay convincingly to get it done.

WAWONA (NW2) put in a game mile challenging uncovered a long way. Took aim in the lane but could not there. Any kind of better trip should be enough to get this one home on top.

WHAT A RUSH (NW15000/2-3YO) was used to the top, face pressure throughout and dug in gamely despite broken equipment but could not last. Should get it done in next race or two.

Friday, October 24

BEACH GAL (NW15000FM) beaten favorite had too far to come as she came wide to clear poor cover in the final turn but finished best of all. Can atone in immediate future.

WILDCAT BEAUTY (NW15000FM) rallied gamely aong the rail at 27-1 for a well earned second in last outing.

CHARMED LIFE (PRF) stormed home with powerful strides as the odds-on favorite and should be able to get another score in next.

WINDSUN REVENGE (NW3) left well, yielded, let the speed settle, brushed to the lead, set a good clip and ran out of gas in the shadow of the wire.

EXHILARATED (CLM25000FM) got parked from the 10-hole in last and chased the pace to the lane before giving way.

Saturday, October 25

LEAFS AND WINGS (NW7000) closed well from far back in last and should be taken seriously.

DOVUTO HANOVER (PRF) had the pocket and cleared late, rallied well but the winner was tough.

IN COMMANDO (NW12500) closed strongest to win going away from third over and can take another.

HIGH FLIER (NW2) was on the lead but second best when the fresher pocket sitting winner roared by. Beaten favorite will give it another try.

Monday, October 27

UTAH BEACH (NW1/2YO) left alertly, let the speed settle, responded when asked and rushed to the top, yielded, sat pocket to the odds-on favorite and rallied gamely all the way home in handy, very useful effort.

TYMAL PRONTO (NW1/3YO) rallied gamely to the wire off a second over trip and earns a long look next time out.

CASIMIR NUNZIO (NW2) had a lot of traffic to clear in the lane and never had a chance to sow his stuff.

BLUE CHIP SUNSHINE (CLMHCP12/20000) came on like gangbusters as the speed tired in last. Well connected battler should find way to winners circle soon.
