Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from November 28 to 30

Ken Walters|Dec 05, 2013

Thursday, November 28

COUNTRY DELIGHT (NW2/2-3YOF) Was far back and forced to move wide much too early. Beaten favorite was wide in the turn, closed steadily but flattened in the late stages.

QUIET SNOW (NW55000/3YO) Brushed to the top past the half, opened up a couple of lengths but could not last in excellent effort. A better timed move makes this one a winner.

WATERSIDES KIPPER (NW2) Was parked forever in dead-game effort from the 10 post. Challenged from the quarter to the wire but could not stall a fresher horse.

CAVIART MANDY (CLM8000FM) Came wide around dying cover past the half, cleared, chased uncovered all the way and rallied gamely to the wire in tough luck try.

WILL TO DO (NW2) Left, took the top, yielded, sat pocket, cleared in the last steps and seemed to have enough to win if free earlier.

JENNA CASIMIR (NW5100FM) Left to the top, yielded, retook, set a good clip and held well on her own.

DAYLON MIRACLE (NW24000) Was parked forever in dead-game effort and trotted away through the lane.

ALEXAS JACKPOT (AUTUMN) Had poor cover to the third panel, had to go wide, cleared and chased the far away pace, stormed home and just missed the tiring winner.

LANESIDE LEXUS (NW5100FM) Second favorite sat the pocket tight until the late stages but finished willingly to just miss the pacesetting favorite.

Saturday, November 30

HILARIOUS HALO (NW5000) Brushed to the half to gain control, set a good clip and dug in stubbornly but was outkicked in the last steps. Beaten favorite should be ready to atone in next.

BURNIN MONEY (NW8000) Was victimized by the post and a long overland journey. Parked uncovered, he challenged to the lane but tired.

FALCOR BLUESTONE (NW8000) Rallied strongly at 40-1 overcoming broken equipment to pass a bunch of foes, but had too far to come to pass them all.

IDEAL RACE (NW14000) Made a three-move victory look easy winning going away; should repeat.

WORLD AWAY (NW5000) Came uncovered in last, had aim but weakened; will score soon.
