Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from November 21 - November 23

Ken Walters|Nov 27, 2013

Thursday, November 21

SAMIRA HANOVER (Autumn) Stamped herself as the one to beat in next week's final with a huge mile in last and will be very hard to deny.

DREYDL HANOVER (NW2) Came out of nowhere to get second in last effort at 9-1 in most recent and should be more respected in next.

EXOTIC MATTJESTY (NW1/2-3YO) Pulled the pocket and challenged the last quarter only to be second best.

ROCKIN WITH DEWEY (NW3) Raced third over behind the winner and closed gamely but was a head short at the wire.

BAD NIGHT MARE (NW1/2-3YOF) Grinded up uncovered in long, game efffort in last and has to be considered in next.

Friday, November 22

OZZY OZZY (AUTUMN) Came into the stretch with good rally, went wide around the pulling pocket horse, battled with the same foe through the lane and was wiped out when that one bore into him. Beaten favorite should come back a winner in next.

FIVE TOWNS (NW2) Battled two challengers, dug in gamely but the winner was much fresher off the pocket trip.

SHADYS M THREE (NW8000FM) Raced third over with game rally in between horses.

CHIEF ZUMA (NW2) Got parked for life, challenged uncovered the middle half and tired at 76-1. Not the trip you are counting on at those odds.

Saturday, November 23

DUKE DID IT (CLMHCP10/12000) Had the pocket and rallied gamely between horses.

FRANCESCHETTI (PRF) Rallied strongest through the lane to score impressively.

WINNING DREAM (NW8000) Made a gallant attempt going down the road over a tiring track in last and just missed at 10-1.

ZEUS LIGHTNING (NW8000) Was used to the lead, set a hot clip on a cold night and could not last battling the wind and fresher horses through the lane. Beaten favorite has a license to atone in next.

COOL ROCK (NW8000) This beaten favorite was nowhere to be found until the finish line as he gobbled up foes through the lane.

O U GUS (NW5000) Made a game rally in last from second over but just could not stall the favorite. Trainer is too hot to think this one will lose his edge.
