Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Nov. 9 - Nov. 14

Ken Walters|Nov 16, 2015

Monday, November 9

HAIL THE TAXI (NW4000) came uncovered passing the half, challenged, took over passing the third panel, held gamely but was nailed on the wire. Good try at nearly 10-1.

IMKEEPNTHISGUY (NW2) closed fastest coming wide to clear poor cover but it was too late.

LADY PING (OntS) closed well from second over but a few steps too late.

BEACH RUNNER A M (NW3000) finished full of pace from back of the pack in most recent outing.

Thursday, November 12

SOUTHWIND GIZZEL (NW1/2-3YO) closed strong and gained second place to short-priced pacesetting favored winner.

SOUTHWIND GLORIA (NW1/2-3YOF) finished strong from very far back to nail the win. Quick closing filly can and should take another.

BELIEVEINHYOURMACH (CLM20000) was far back entering the stretch, got moving too late to persistent urging but was moving best in the late stages.

COUNTRY PROPHET (NW2) was uncovered and moving confidently in the final turn but broke. Beaten favorite could have been tough to stall.

Friday, November 13

LIGHTS GO OUT (NW3000FM) was the only wire to wire winner on the card. She was tested in the last quarter but drew off earning a long look in next.

PASSIONATE BEAUTY (NW2FM) set the pace to the third panel, met pressure from well bet second choice and was second best on a night speed was folding. Good try earns some respect so don't ignore.

VRAKA HANOVER (NW2FM) yielded twice along the way, pulled in the final turn, made the third move, challenged, loomed but tired.

SHUTTHEFRONTDOOR (NW9000FM) retook passing the half, set a good clip but tired late. Well bet second choice lost to the pocket sitting favorite so keep her in your thoughts.

Saturday, November 14

MONTEZUMA BLUECHIP (NW2) was locked in the pocket in last. Will be looking for revenge in next.

CAJON LIGHNING (NW2) was in serious traffic last time out until the last steps. Will be hoping to strike sooner in next.

VEGAS ROCKS (NW14500) winning favorite pulled off the three move win with strong finish in last and will be hoping to add to his winnings next outing.

TAROT (NW3) winning wasn't in the cards for this locked in pocket horse last time but seems fated for a win in near future.
