Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Nov. 9 - Nov. 13

Ken Walters|Nov 15, 2017

Thursday, November 9

MYSTICAL WONDER (CLMHCP8/10000) rushed out in the final turn, closed strongly and just missed the short-priced favorite.

MR HOUDINI (NW2) took an early tuck, finished full of trot to earn a long look in next.

A BOY NAMED SUUZZ (CLM8000) set the pace and drew away in a laugher.

OUTLAW GUNPOWDER (CLMHCP10/12000) tipped uncovered to the third panel and rallied gamely in last.

Friday, November 10

GRANA PADANNO (NW3000) rushed up smartly to engage and pass the early pacesetter and proved much the best.

PERFECT LOVER (NW3000) was parked grinding to the lead, yielded to the winner's wicked move and proved second best.

DAWN SHOOTER (CLM15000FM) trailed to the lane but finished full of pace and should not be overlooked in next.

ETRUSCAN HANOVER (NW6000) rallied well, tucked the pocket at the third panel and was second best to the sharp winner.

Saturday, November 11

EAST END (NW6300) tucked to the quarter, pulled to the half, lost cover, kept coming, rallied gamely through the lane but was nailed by the second-over favorite.

FREE WILLY HANOVER (NW12600) saved to the lane, angled out, finished with good trot and earns a look in next race or two.

ELLIS PARK (PRF) trailed while racing 3rd over but slapped a :25 4/5 last panel on the field and came in second.

L A DELIGHT (PRF/FM) had a shot at more but never cleared through the lane and should not be ignored.

Monday, November 13

MR CARROTS (NW2500) brushed to the lead coming to the half, battled with the favorite the last quarter and proved second best.

LODI DORIAN BLUES (CLMHCP12/15000) closed strong from a very distant 3rd over in last at 10-1 and bears watching.

MEGO MOSS (CLMHCP20/25000) wired the field convincingly on a night when speed was having a tough time and can take another.

WILLEY BITE (CLM8000) was nowhere to be seen while racing 4th over and flashed some solid late foot to get up for 2nd at 11-1 and might suprise in next.
