Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Nov. 30 - Dec. 4

Ken Walters|Dec 06, 2017

Thursday, November 30

WESMONT (NW3) was the only down the road winner on a speed tiring track and held well.

MARY LEAH (NW2) rallied gamely between horses and has to be considered in next race or two.

IMCOOLERONLINE (NW1) was parked to the lead, met pressure the last quarter and tired. Can do better over a more favorable track.

INDEPENDENT SPIRIT (CLMHCP8/10000) tucked early, pulled uncovered to the half, challenged gamely but was carried wide by a drifting pacesetter and it proved costly.

Friday, December 1

KAMERAN HANOVER (NW4) finished full of trot in wide rally and will take home the gold soon.

AWOL HANOVER (NW4) showed good speed finishing between horses and earns a long look in next race or two.

RAMAS LAST SON (NW6000) took a quick lead, yielded, sat pocket and was second best at 16-1.

MANHATTAN AGAIN (NW2FM) left, tucked, tipped uncovered in the final turn with game rally but the odds-on winner was best.

Saturday, December 2

ALWAYS N THE MONEY (NW14000) sat near the back and closed well; has to be considered in next.

LIGHTS GO OUT (NW10000FM) was behind a poor flow and flashed some good late foot once into the lane.

PAPARAZZI HANOVER (NW6100) saved, rallied steadily and picked up ground through the lane.

LYONS RIVER PRIDE (NW16500FM) closed through stretch traffic from far back and earns a long look in next.

Monday, December 4

E L WILD SPIRIT (CLM20000) finished full of pace from nowhere to win going away and should take another.

MEADOWBRANCH MEMO (NW3500) was buried on the rail passing the third call, finished with good trot but the pacesetting favorite had gotten away. Had to settle for second best on the track and on the board.

NORTHERN STORMONT (CLMHCP20/25000) tucked early, pulled to the half, challenged, took over passing the third panel and drew away.

HIGHLANDBEACHYCOVE (NW2700) got away well, avoided early breakers, came away with the lead and crushed.
