Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Nov. 23 - Nov. 27

Ken Walters|Nov 29, 2017

Thursday, November 23

PENZANCE HANOVER (NW3) took the top, yielded, sat pocket, rallied gamely but was nipped by the late-closing winner in the last step.

A BOY NAMED SUUZZ (CLM8000) yielded, retook and won for fun.

JEFFERSON TARE (CLM8000) took the top quickly, yielded to the prohibitive favorite and was second best from there at over 50-1.

IN SPADES (NW2) sat in traffic and found room late with more than willing finish.

CARSON HILL (NW2) yielded 2x, sat pocket and proved second best.

Friday, November 24

ALWAYS A VICTIM (NW2FM) was wide to the quarter, went wide to the the half as cover quit, chased uncovered, tired. A better trip will make her a serious threat.

L A DELIGHT (NW25000FM) wired the field in convincing fashion well wrapped-up through the lane.

O NARUTC PERFETTO (NW6000) followed wide, stacked wider and came home strongly but had too far to come. Beaten favorite can atone in quick order.

EVERY TIME (CLM15000FM) chased uncovered, tucked at the third call and rallied gamely to the last step but just missed.

Saturday, November 25

MUSSELSFRMBRUSSELS (NW9200) was parked a long way to the lead, met some pressure to the third panel but was a handy winner and can take another.

FOUR CARD MAJOR (CLMHCP15/20000) pulled to the half, rallied uncovered, challenged and drew away from mid lane.

PHOENIX WARRIOR (NW14000) was parked to the lead and was an impressive winner as the co-favorite and can take another as barn seems to be hotter than a pistol.

P L JILL (NW15000) had cover and made what appeared a speed break, fell far back but made an incredible late rally through the lane. Beaten favorite was best and should atone in next race or two.

Monday, November 27

AVERSITY (NW3000) was out a long way with cover, came wide in the final turn, got stuck deep but rallied strongest and game to earn a win and can take another soon.

TRISUN (CLM20000) yielded twice, sat pocket and rallied gamely but just missed. Beaten favorite should atone in quick order.

JILONA (CLM15000) rallied around weak stuff, kept coming in game down to the wire victory on the wire. Should not have to work that hard on most nights.

APHRO STAR (CLM15000) came 4 wide passing the third call and rallied gamely through the lane to get up for second over the tripped out winner. Beaten favorite will be hard tp beat with decent trip.
